I've been to Italy so many times that I've become pretty fond of gelato. Best ice cream out there in my book. You don't have to go all the way to Italy to feel that way. I stopped by on a week day after an event in the area for a late night treat. Ambiance (3.5/5): Like most ice cream shops, Pazzo is a pretty small establishment. There's seating for about eight people or so inside. Something to keep in mind as if you're visiting at a peak time, you may have to eat outside, in your car, or standing up. Though it's tiny, it's well-kept and comfortable. Service (4/5): While service isn't a big part of the experience, it went pretty well. When we arrived, nobody was working the front, but he came from the back after a minute or two. I imagine he was waiting gelato. Like pretty much any ice cream shop, they will let you sample flavors. From there, I paid quickly. Drinks (N/A): I only ordered ice cream, but they have coffee, water, and a few soft drinks. Food (4/5): You know the drill. Choose your size. Cone or a cup. To make things more interesting, you can even get gelato sandwiched between two cookies. I was tempted, but opted for a medium gelato in a cup which allowed me to choose two flavors. At gelato shops, I look for interesting flavors. They have that here with a nice mix of creamy gelatos and fruity sorbets. I went with the cookies & cream (not particularly innovative but an all-time classic) and the cherry chip (definitely interesting). You can taste the quality of the ingredients. Everyone who works there is so kind and always ready to let you try all the flavors. My friends and I have come many times late at night for a sweet treat so it's an added bonus that they open late. (4.5) I had an ice cream craving and found this gelato place nearby. It was a Thursday evening when I came by and there was no one else in there. There were some high tops to sit at and games available to play. Everything seemed clean and I liked the bright blue decor and fun, colorful lights they had on. There was one person working and she was very nice and helpful. She let me sample lots of flavors. But I only really liked one of the flavors I tried. I ended up trying the Gelazookie special they had which consisted of a warmed up cookie and two scoops of gelato, optional whipped cream and nuts. It was yummy and I chose the salted caramel and coffee biscotti flavors with a chocolate chip cookie. I guess the reason I wouldn't give this place a solid 5/5 was because the gelato was just good, not great. I think I've had better. I had a craving for a sweet midnight snack. We found this location by searching reviews on yelp. Since it was so late, I utilize the fantastic option "Open Now". Seriously what would we do without technology. We headed around 10:45PM. It was one of very few dessert places open until midnight. The staff member gave us several samples to try, and I finally landed on the hazelnut gelato. It was creamy and had a very natural hazelnut flavor. My husband selected the sea salt and caramel gelato. Both were very good, but I really enjoyed the hazelnut. I ALWAYS come here for gelato after watching a movie at the Majestic cinema next door - and it always hits the spot! It's a cute little spot and open until 11pm I believe, which is perfect after movie night. I love their ube gelato, though they used to have a plain one without mochi but now only have ube with mochi. This is also good but not as good as the plain one in my opinion. Seems they have some flavors that they rotate out/are seasonal. You can get 2 different flavors in the small or medium and 3 different ones in the large, which is awesome. The best gelato I've ever had in my entire life! I'm so glad I decided to try out Pazzo Gelato. I ordered on DoorDash, because it was 110F out and I didn't even want to drive over there because it's so hot out. I got 2 scoops, one of Amaretto, and one of Pistachio. My Mom got a caramel flavored one. I had a bite of hers as well. These were the creamiest, most flavorful gelato's I've ever had. My personal favorite was probably the Amaretto. They say they have 1000's of gelato flavors and to get what you want because it won't be there next visit. Thats both good and bad, but they do post a menu on Instagram daily. Looking over their flavors, there's a little something for everyone, including fruit sorbets. The staff has been nice on both of my visits. Offering samples of any flavor that peaks your interest. There are 2 bars with stools inside, but it's mostly outside seating. The gelato itself is good, really nice flavor. The PB Banana Chip for instance really tasted like smashed frozen bananas. It is more of an ice cream-like texture than other gelato I've had. Found this place after eating over at Surf City Sandwich. I'm glad I did for they have a really good assortment of flavors. I'm not really a sweet tooth guy but because they let you sample any flavor, I could not leave without getting a pint of the Ube Mochi and the Thai Iced Tea Mochi flavors. Located in the same plaza as the Majestik Theater, I would say they are in a perfect spot for to satisfy that dessert craving especially after lunch or dinner. The staff is very receptive and will answer any questions you ask. I strongly recommend that you sample whatever catches your eye. You won't know if you like it if you never try it.
