The peanut was at least a novelty that I've not had before, but the cake batter itself was a little too dense for my preference. I had no idea Canada was known for donuts but I can now understand why. The donuts are super light and airy which I prefer. Knowing how good 49th Parallel is with coffee I thought I'd try their version of the London Fog. I wasn't disappointed. In fact it was best London Fog I've ever had. I've had them at other places but I've never seen a preparation like 49th. They use loose leaf Earl Gray tea in a tall paper tea bag. They put the bag in your cup pour the steamed milk in and the tea steeps right into the milk. It's the smoothest London Fog I've had and isn't cloyingly sweet like many I've had.
