Mochi waffles are great ! Very tasty and chewy. Variety of flavors including red bean, black sesame, cheese and corn, etc. Savory and sweet. Drinks not so much, very sweet. I had their Vietnamese coffee and it did not taste traditional. It tasted like an overly sweet ice coffee, unfortunately could not adjust the sweetness. It didn't have that caffeine buzz ! Ube coffee same, though Ube flavor was good. One thing is the food coloring was very strong in my recent pandan waffle. Otherwise such nice service. Super small, order on a kiosk and wait for your text. No seating available.
After getting my allergy shots, this morning, at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, in Mountain View, I wanted to get some fruit tea to take home. I looked on Yelp and the Mochi Waffle Corner came up. It was just one block down the street and they had a variety of fruit teas besides the waffles. They are located in a small strip mall on El Camino. There was plenty of parking. On the door it said takeout only. When I first walked in, I immediately smelled fresh waffles. It smelled wonderful. I saw two kiosks for ordering and a menu up above. It's very small inside and there are no tables and chairs. To the left there is a pickup window. An employee saw me and kindly welcomed me. I wanted to try their Red Ruby grapefruit tea. I was having trouble finding it on the kiosk menu. The manager kindly came out and helped me. I asked him if the 0% still had sweetness. He said yes and if it was not sweet enough, they could add more. I Needed to order two. So I ordered one first with 0% sweetness and less ice (no extra charge for less ice). I got a text when my drink was ready, which was less than 5 minutes. I tried the drink and it was perfect. Te, the employee helping me gave me a promotional scratcher card. They are celebrating their 9 year anniversary and are giving customers this scratcher, where you can when a prize or a free tea. I was told every card is a winner. That was so nice. Turns out I won a free jasmine milk tea with boba. So I ordered another grapefruit tea, for my husband, to take home. When I went to the pick up window, Te handed me my drink and gave me a really cool keychain of a cup of boba tea with a teddy bear and boba floating inside of it. That was so thoughtful and kind of her to give me that. These red ruby grapefruit teas were the best I have ever tasted. My husband also thought the same thing. They were so refreshing and had real grapefruit pulp and slices inside the drink. I will definitely be back for more and next time I'm getting the waffles. Thank you to the owner/manager and Te for their outstanding customer service and kindness.
Cute little shop for mochi waffles, croffles, and fun drinks! There's a 10-15 minute wait for waffles. RED VELVET MOCHI WAFFLE: not too sweet, has some melty chocolate chips. chewy mochi texture SAUSAGE CHEESE CROISSANT WAFFLE: I got it without spice and it was pretty yummy. They drizzle a mayo sauce on top which complimented the sausage well BLACK SESAME ICED COFFEE: good amount of coffee and got me fueled for the day. black sesame flavor was light, and I wish the sesame taste were stronger AVOCADO SMOOTHIE: not too icy, but has a smooth and creamy avocado taste Something was burning as we were waiting for our food and since it's a pretty small shop, we had to go outside to air it out LOL No seating space, only takeout. Workers are very nice and friendly. Would recommend!
Name is so suitable. OVERALL: Why 4 stars? Drinks are HORRENDOUS. I don't know if it's because they misread the label but my 25% sweetness was through the roof, as if it was 125%. Additionally, drink did not taste as described. Likewise, I wish they had a differing selection of waffle flavors to pick from. STRAWBERRY TEA with crystal boba - strawberry didn't taste like strawberry - starting to believe all crystal boba are the same - 25% sweetness was CRAZY sweet - tea didn't taste like tea... tasted watered down with coloring - I appreciate the affordability of toppings and their attempts at using fresh fruit MATCHA WHITE CHOCOLATE MOCHI WAFFLE - I would have much appreciated plain ole simple matcha - has the same flavors for croissant esque waffles - flavors seemed kind of outlandish and American with sprinkles of Asian - combo just had typical items like strawberries, bananas and Nutella...wish there were other options to pick from - tastes delicious hot and lukewarm but not cold... toasting it only toasted the exterior but not the inner partitions - 15 to 20 minutes waiting period forewarned but did not feel like it so it was not too bad SERVICE: two self service kiosks that added a 33 cents service fee. No interaction except grabbing drink and waffle and a quick confirmation of order and "thank you." AMBIANCE: no sitting. Definitely the corner store. Wall partition between workers and kiosks/wait Located in a plaza with a private parking lot. Would I come back? If I were in the area, yes. Their pricing isn't any more than that elsewhere, especially in restaurants. They somehow were able to achieve a chewer texture than elsewhere.
It's Friday morning when Bro and I came upon a Vietnamese mochi waffle shop that's been around for over four years wasn't even aware there was one located in a small tightly knit plaza. Upon entry there's two self-service kiosk whereas we placed our orders one hot ube, one egg coffee and two pandan mochi waffles payable by credit/debit card there's no cash transaction no tipping though is optional. We can observe the young lady at the pickup window as she made our waffles. They came out hot,crispy and chewy no toppings as we requested. There's no room to be seated its mainly take-out and our wait was less than 15 minutes. She placed our orders in the bag and two drinks in a large bag with straws. Definitely be back so support your local business.
I stop by Mochi Waffle Corner whenever I go to Best Buy, since it's a short walk from there. It's one of those hidden gems you might not even notice while driving down El Camino Real. In my most recent visits, I tried these four drinks, and they're all really good! Pistachio Coffee, Ube Coffee, Black Sesame Coffee, and Smores Coffee. They allow you to add toppings to all their drinks, hot and cold. Pistachio & Ube were my favorite, preferring them over the Black Sesame & Smores. But TBH all of their drinks are very good. I need to try their mochi waffles one of these days. Parking is easy here. This is a no frills take out place, order at the kiosk and wait for your drink, there's no seating inside.
I had been eyeing this place for a while and one Sat morning, came here with my bf. We came right when it opened as he needed to get to work afterwards. We arrived about 5 minutes after 11 and there was already a short line to order! Wow. When it was our turn, we ordered at the kiosk and came back outside to wait. The drinks (strawberry matcha for me and dalgona coffee for the bf) came out quickly, but we had to wait 15-20 mins for the pandan waffle (with strawberries) I ordered. Once we grabbed that - my bf decided he wanted to try the croissant waffle, so we waited another 10 mins or so. Everything came out looking very nice. I enjoyed the presentation of my pandan waffle in the box - too bad I wasn't able to eat it until a little later, as we had to drive back so my bf can get to work. It tasted pretty good, but maybe I missed that golden time when it was warm and crispy. Overall, the pandan waffle wasn't the best I've had, but the croissant waffle was good. My bf gobbled it down. I enjoyed the strawberry matcha drink, but I probably wouldn't come back for it. The strawberry portion was good and when mixed in - pretty tasty. But, I think it needed something else - once all the strawberry was gone - the matcha was somewhat bland. My bf thought the dalgona coffee was good; I didn't try it as I don't drink coffee. Overall - a cute, very small shop. You go in, order and take out. There's an option to order online so it's ready when you get there. You can also order in person at the kiosk, but I don't think you can order with a staff member. I would come back and try some of the other waffles, but maybe not the drinks. I like matcha, but it's not my favorite - maybe it would be a hit for someone who enjoys matcha more.
I ordered right when they opened on a weekday. Unfortunately their online ordering system was off that day because they didn't get my order until I actually in to pick up. Two other ladies came in afterwards and they also had to wait for their online orders too. The cashier tried to apologize to one of the ladies since she was in a rush ... Other than that, their pandan waffles and black sesame waffle was good. Chewy texture and soft within..Eat it freshly made is best!
We really enjoyed our visit to Mochi Waffle! The drinks were great--our favorites were the lychee and strawberry slushies, both super refreshing and flavorful. I also tried the mango milk tea with boba, but it wasn't as good as the others. For the food, we had the ube waffle and the pistachio croissant waffle, and the pistachio was hands down the ultimate favorite! Perfectly flaky, nutty, and sweet--it's definitely my new go-to treat here. There isn't much in the way of service since you order from a kiosk, and the ambiance is more of a simple order, wait, pick up, and dine kind of setup. Still, I'd come back for the slushies and that pistachio croissant waffle. Overall, a solid 4-star experience.
Good mochi waffles, decent drinks. The pandan mochi waffle was a strong favorite as the flavor was fragrant and strong. Made fresh, so it is nice, chewy, and hot! The other waffles we tried (black sesame, red bean, taro) had a varying amount of flavor you could taste. I wouldn't recommend red bean as there were just a few red beans in the waffle (it's not a paste, literally just some beans thrown in so there's not much flavor imo). The waffles are nice to take home and dress up with fruits and ice cream for a nice sweet treat. The original croissant waffle was sweet and doughy, yum. The drinks were just ok, kind of refreshing but not my favorite. The thai coffee frappe was tastier than the dalgona coffee, the dalgona tasted like very burnt ash. Maybe some other drinks are a better choice. The store is for to-go, there is a screen for you to order from. Friendly staff.
Pleasantly surprised by this dessert spot. The pandan waffle was chewy on the inside but had a nice crispy exterior. It was sweet but it wasn't over bearing. I loved eating the waffle with the strawberries and condensed milk. My boyfriend got the croissant combo with Oreo pieces. Super delicious but def a lot sweeter if you prefer it. Service was quick. We ordered and picked it up about 10 mins later. It's takeout only.
Came here twice. Once on a Friday 11am and another time on a Thursday at 4pm. I was able to find parking easily and get my order around 15-20min with only 1 other person in line. Parking lot has about 15-20 spaces, but there are other areas you could park and just walk to get here. 2 kiosk for ordering and no seating, place is pretty small but the staff is nice! Their mochi waffles are huge and their croffles are decently priced unlike most places. I tried the following: - Pandan Mochi Waffle ($4.50): Super worth! And tasted so fluffy. - Black Sesame Mochi Waffle ($4.50): This one was ok. -Pistachio Croffle ($6.25): Super worth and there was so much pisatchio topping on it. It makes me want to try the other croffles. - Matcha Butterfly ($5.75): This was good but Im not sure what the difference between this and a regular Matcha Latte was... - Jasmine Milk Tea, 75% sweetness ($5): Tasted like any other Jasmine milk tea but decently priced :^) - Hojicha Black Sugar Milk Tea, 75% sweetness ($5): Would not recommend unless you realllly like sweet or get a lot less sweetness. This was overly sweet where I got sick of it within the first 3 sips. I think it just tasted like Milk with a lot of sugar. One of the days I went was close to mother's day and the staff gave me a small flower with my purchase which was super sweet and made my day. Overall sooooo worth it. Especially the Mochi Waffle and their Matcha drinks! Cant wait to come back when Im back in the area!
AMAZING!! Where has this mochi waffle situ been all my life?! They will come and set up the waffle party as part of the cater service...excellent friendly service! Not too sweet, just the perfect balance between crunch and chewy goodness...don't sleep on this, must try everything on their extensive menu..
Came here for the flavored mochi waffles! order at the kiosk, and they'll call out numbers on the intercom. No indoor seating, 3 outdoor high tops. Most people waited in their cars. We ordered 3 waffles, and waited almost 20 minutes. We had the pandan, taro, and the black sesame, and enjoyed the light a flavoring. There's tons of toppings you can add on for extra, but we kept it simple! Definitely heavy on the mochi interiorly, but somehow the waffle is relatively crisp on the outside. We saved some for others, and they re-crisped quite nicely in the air frier I was going to order a coffee based drink, but you can't customize the sweetness on any of the coffee-based drinks (can customize on matcha drinks and iced teas) read more

Honestly this was a one and done. I ordered the pandan, ube, and the black sesame mochi waffle. Both the pandan and ube lacked flavor. I could only taste the black sesame flavor. The only thing I liked about the waffles was the price which I could not find elsewhere. But I would rather pay an extra $2 at another store for the flavor to be present. read more

A-ok! Nothing mind blowing but it was interesting. I love mochi and the texture and was intrigued by a waffle with it. The end product was chewy and crisp at the same time, the wonderful texture combo you'd expect. Nicely done. For me, the flavors didn't come through though. We ordered a black sesame mochi waffle with black sesame cream (can you tell I like sesame?) but it didn't have that deep nuttiness I was expecting. It was more like the level of flavor you get in a La Croix haha Similarly, with the corn and cheese mochi waffle, we couldn't taste the cheese. The pieces of corn were evident but no cheese flavor, though we could see the burns from the cheese on the edges. It was in there somewhere The last item was my partner's favorite, the cheese and garlic croissant. This one reminded me of the flavor profile you get from baked goods at 85° Bakery, the sweet savory combo. The crispiness was nice Service was kind and I appreciate their COVID safe protocols, like waiting outside for your order. Be advised, no bathroom though. The sign warned of a wait of up to 20 mins but I think we only waited maybe 10 at the most. Probably won't go back but it was fun to try read more

Great selection of waffles & drinks! It's a pretty small store with two kiosks inside, or you can order online. It's mostly a place where you grab & go since there's no tables inside, but there are a few outside. I got their red velvet chocolate chip waffles with a side of sliced strawberries. It was so good. As for drinks, I got the s'mores coffee which was good, a bit more on the sweeter side. I also got the ube coffee which was my absolute fav! My friend got the taromisu drink and the taro & pandan waffle. Very colorful drinks and food, will be back soon! :) read more
Valentines combo is a deal! For $10, got a drink and croissant waffle. The matcha rose latte was pretty good, glad I got to try it due to the combo - loved the rose cream/foam topping. Matcha part was ok. The taokoyaki croissant was topped with the sauce and bonito flakes but no squid or anything... not sure what I expected ha ha Order ahead on the Snackpass app otherwise wait can be quite long. I ordered ahead and took about 10mins to get there, my order was just done. read more
Cute little coffee/treats place! We got the Ube and egg coffees and they were very sweet, but definitely was pretty strong since it was Vietnamese coffee. I was craving a Vietnamese egg coffee and this was the closest place so we swung by. It's a small shop in a strip mall on El Camino. You walk in and they have two large screens that you can order off of, and see pictures of all the options. We ended up going for a few of the savory mochi waffles. We got the garlic cheese, Shredded pork, and takoyaki. For coffee, we got the egg, coffee, and the Ube one as well. They have a loudspeaker where they call your order numbers, so if you end up going back to your car waiting outside, we'll get both a text message and be able to hear your number called out. The waffles were all right. My husband liked the spicy, shredded pork, and I felt like the garlic cheese. Had a little bit too much mayonnaise. The coffee drinks are both solid. I do think the Vietnamese coffee shops in San Jose are of course a little better quality, but my husband actually liked their Ube coffee quite a bit. This place is nearby us, so it's nice to have an option for some egg coffee when the craving hits. read more

Been wanting to try this place for a while now and really enjoyed their delightful mochi waffles! The interior space is pretty small with no seating though there are a few outdoor tables that you can sit at. You order at one of two self-serve kiosks, and we opted for combo #2 (basically cookies & cream vibes) with a pandan mochi waffle along with a taro milk tea with boba. We ended up waiting around 15-20 minutes for our order to be ready so I'd recommend ordering online ahead of time! The mochi waffle combo came deconstructed which we appreciated because the toppings didn't make the waffle soggy. We put everything together once we got home, and it was quite delicious! The Oreo crumbles, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle worked nicely with the not-too-sweet mochi waffle. However, I do wish the pandan flavor was a bit stronger because we could barely taste any pandan... The taro milk tea was pretty standard and nothing to write home about. read more
Been coming here for a year and a half or so now, ever since they opened. I live close by, so I usually order on the Snackpass app (you accumulate rewards like a free drink if you use this this) around 15 minutes in advance and then walk here because it usually takes that long for the order to be ready. Located in a complex with another Asian restaurant next door (TBread). Space is very small inside but you have a kiosk to order and stand, there's a table outside in case you want to eat here but generally people/families tend to wait around the table. I personally like their food offerings over the drinks. After the first couple of times, I stopped getting the drinks here, probably because I prefer to go elsewhere for them and not because they're bad here. I'd say the standout dish for me right now is the garlic cheese croissant waffle. It's super flaky and just oozes flavor, they definitely load it with enough garlic sauce and cheese, and it's downright delicious. It's been a huge hit amongst all my friends as well ever since I introduced them to this. I've tried all their waffle options except the black sesame (not a fan of black sesame in general) and my favorites are the Pandan, Red Bean and Taro, in that order. In general, all the waffles are extremely lightweight, flaky and fresh. It's good to eat it fresh because otherwise it becomes sorta soggy. I can even eat the waffles on their own. But I usually mix and match them with some of the creams, like ube, tiramisu and nutella. Their combo options with the cream and the fresh fruits are pretty good as well. My usual go to free drink when I accumulate rewards is their dalgona matcha latte. My roommate actually quite likes this. read more

The waffle was well-toasted, chewy on the outside and soft on the inside. The strawberries were very fresh. However, it is one waffle and the portion was small. Orders cannot be customized. It is digital self-service. You need a smart phone and your wallet. It is take out only. You are messaged to wait outside or in your car. You are messaged and called from the loud speaker to pick up your order. There are no tables. read more

Definitely recommend this place! It's a weird location next to Best Buy, and takeout only, so I would recommend using the Snackpass app to order ahead then pickup. We tried a red velvet mochi waffle and a pandan mochi waffle, with condensed milk and boba topping. Also got a mango smoothie and a passion fruit pineapple slushy, both of which were sizable drinks and very delicious! Definitely hit the spot on a warm day. Service was nice, they make it fresh so it's not super fast but definitely worth the wait and we came back the next week and ordered ahead and picked up which is the way to go! Can't eat there, so might as well just pick it up on the way home. Definitely recommend for a snack or a cold drink if you'e in the area! Prices are definitely average to low for the Bay Area. read more

In my opinion, this place was just okay! The food and drinks were alright and nothing stood out about the service (you order through a self serve counter). Coconut Taro Drink/Coconut Coffee Drink: these were quite good actually, but they were super sweet. I've also not really had anything like this before so it was unique for me! Earl Grey Milk Tea/Black Milk Tea: just your standard boba drinks. Taro Mochi Waffle and Pandan Mochi Waffe: these were okay! I felt like it was nothing special. I did think that they took a really long time to make everything. It was also a bit frustrating because multiple people behind us that ordered 2-3 things got their stuff first. If they had just completed our larger order (6 drinks/2 waffles) first, I feel like that would have been better and the time waiting for each group would have evened out. We waited like almost 30 minutes for our items. read more

Absolute yes to this place! I'm not a boba girl but they got me at the croffles and then my drink ended up being a hit! I don't have pictures of our drink but I ordered the matcha and butterfly pea and my friend suggested adding coconut jelly to it and WOW was it a hit. I'm drooling thinking about it right now. Service is good! It's a walk up kiosk so there isn't much interaction. A small restaurant so there isn't space to sit inside but a grab n go spot! I wanted to get some coffee and my daughter wanted some waffles so we ended up coming here after our dentist appointments. We ordered black sesame coffee with honey boba, Thai tea (half sugar, light ice & add honey boba), the classic milk tea (half sugar, light ice & add honey boba), black sesame mochi waffle, pandan mochi waffle, and red velvet chocolate chip mochi waffle. I thought the black sesame coffee was good but the Thai tea and milk tea was bland. Even with light ice, the "teas" tasted diluted. As for the boba, it was also bland. The waffles had the perfect mochi chew to it but they were also bland. If they had added a little bit more sugar to the batter, it will make it taste so much better. read more

Small parking lot, but I haven't had difficulty finding a spot. Order at one of their self-serve kiosks. I was hesitant on ordering the vanilla mochi waffle because I thought it would be too plain, but I actually like it better than the pandan flavor. It is best when it's fresh so you can really enjoy the bounciness with every bite. They are definitely named after the best item on their menu! (Makes sense lol) I have microwaved them before and still enjoyed them. I also had the mango matcha latte which needs a good stir before drinking. There's a good photo op background to the left of when you enter. This is a popular spot so consider ordering online for faster service. read more

I ordered the Pandan Mochi Waffle, Red Bean Waffle, and the garlic cheese and they were all delicious. We also got the yuzu tea, ube coffee, and coconut coffee and they were so good. Will definitely be coming back here again when I'm in town read more

If you like the chewy texture of mochi and the crispness of a good waffle, look no further than Mochi Waffle Corner! We got the pandan and black sesame with a side of strawberries. Note that the combos don't actually save you that much money. We were considering the combo #5, and it would've been a savings if a nickel. Nevertheless, both were good but the pandan was better! The pandan was chewier but maybe because it had more mix versus having more mochi? It was also sweeter (expected) than the black sesame. The black sesame was a lot more mellow if a flavor, especially comparatively. When you did get a clump of black sesame though, it was really good. Reminded me of a black sesame rice ball (tong yuan). Too bad there weren't many of those. :( Definitely would come back again! Also pssttt, the croissant waffle is literally a croissant that they put into a waffle maker. Peek at the photo of the fridge display that holds the croissants and dough. Might try to do this at home, haha. read more
I have come here in the past when it was a Boba spot. They seem to have cashed in on the Mochi Donut trend and doing well at it. There are self-service kiosks where you order. You get notified on your phone when your order is ready. I like the system but my nit is that it is not a "hands-free" process. To their credit, they do have sand sanitizer available. There were a lot of people there but my order came through quickly. I tried two different types of mochi donuts, both were very good. I see them continuing to do very well. read more
Stopped in on a particularly hot day for a few drinks since we were nearby. Raspberry Hibiscus Lemon Tea: comes with basil seeds and citrus jelly. Perfect at 50% sweetness, this was a really refreshing drink. You could taste the raspberry and hibiscus flavors and the slight tart from the lemon. I'd return for this one again! 4/5 Egg coffee: it's not advertised as "Vietnamese" coffee, so I can't say if it was made with condensed milk, but it was still tasty. There was a good portion of egg cream and didn't have that eggy taste that I'm always wary of. I'd say the coffee part was a tad on the sweet side for already have a sweet topping, but you can't change sugar or ice level for this drink. I'd get this again if I was craving egg coffee. 4/5 Their toppings here cost an additional $0.75 instead of $0.50 as more commonly seen at other tea shops. read more
I want to give this place the benefit of the doubt and say it's a 3.5/5. Not a hangout dessert place because there's no seating inside, super small shop. There's a shared parking lot but you can also look for street parking. It's a small shop on the corner of the plaza and you order with a kiosk. I'm not sure if they do cash so have a card on you in case. I ordered an avocado smoothie and two mochi waffles, pandan and black sesame. No complaints about the avocado smoothie, but the waffles were disappointing. The waffle is pretty big, crisp on the outside, mochi on the inside, but it lacked in flavor. I could barely taste the pandan or black sesame so it wouldn't be my first choice. They make everything then and there you have to wait about 10-20 minutes depending on your order and busyness. read more
Great variety of waffles and boba teas. Quality and their unique offering. I love my sesame waffle. So crispy and chewy at the same time. No point making your own when they have so many different favors. Portion os good. Service is good. I would bring my mom and someone close here. Even better if you want to bring your dog. There are 3 outside table you can enjoy with your furry friends. Parking is tight. Try to come with a smaller car. Love it! read more
I was intrigued when I saw mochi waffles . I love anything mochi! I ordered the mocha waffle with strawberries and it came with whipped cream and Nutella . Waffles were crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Delicious! I also loved the way they package everything separately. I also got the roasted oolong milk tea with lychee toppings. They didn't have crystal boba so I opted for the lychee. Tea was very tasty and had the perfect blend of lychee jelly. Great place for tea and a snack! read more
I've been staring at this place for awhile and I was finally in the area and had some spare time! You can order everything through Snackpass or order in person via kiosk. No cash. What I ordered: - Pandan Mochi Waffle ($4): VERY CHEWY! I really liked the mochi texture of the waffle but there was a lack of pandan flavor. - Taro Mochi Waffle ($4): Real taro in the waffle! Same as the pandan waffle, not much taro flavor but still very chewy! - Matcha Lemon Tea ($5.25): I got 50% sweetness and it was pretty sour. Are your waffles vegetarian friendly i.e. are there any animal derived ingredients like whey (rennet based) or gelatin? I am interested in knowing about things other than milk, eggs, and regular dairy?
Hi Sultan , we do not put whey & gelatin. Our waffle contains : Wheat,Tapioca flour , Coconut milk , Eggs , SoyBean oil , small amount of Buttermilk.
