Sad to see so much negative feedback after personally only ever having had exceedingly positive visits to Mocha Masters. The woman working the stand has always been kind and cordial if not chipper even at some visits. Not trying to downplay others' experiences, however. I've just never experienced any rude or dismissive behavior by any stretch of the imagination...maybe you just caught her on an off day? No one can be 100 all of the time. All of that being said, this lady knows her way around fun drinks! If you like redbull smoothies, mangonadas, etc with all the goodies and fixings at a reasonable price then you gotta check this place out. Yeah, it takes a little longer than some shops to make the drinks but it's honestly pretty fast considering how much extra effort is put into them. If you like mangonadas, I've tried every place in town that offers them and hers are some of the best! Give it a go! read more

Wow reading some of these low reviews hurts. Alicia is a wonderfully kind person. Every time I've gone she's a delight and makes great conversation. The food is fantastic, as well as the drinks, I don't drink coffee but my husband does and he said she's the only one in town who's been able to make it the way he likes, and her baking! Omg! Today I got a dozen lemon blueberry cinnamon roles, I've eaten 5 just tonight. Definitely worth the price! Always a treat going there! read more

I comandeered the Turo and forced my husband and sister to wait in line at Mocha Masters with me because of the mangonada pictures posted here on Yelp. If I'd been on my way anywhere with a sense of time, I'd have been frustatrated by the wait. I guessed that the car in front of us was also getting a mangonada based on the long, long wait. I guessed right. Finally it was our turn. The barista asked we wanted ice cream on top and I said yes. Ours had scoops of hard ice cream, not swirled soft serve like in the other pictures. What is a mangonada? I have no idea. But I didn't like it. It's a cold, thick mangoey drink that is super sweet and also a bit salty. There was also a savory flavor that was unfamiliar to me that was icky to my palate. The hubs and sis worked hard but did not finish it. Do I regret it? No. Am I glad I ordered it? Yes, but only because it was a whackadoodle experience to share. Would I do it again? Nope. Do I recommend it? Not really. I'd be more inclined to take a bunch of candy and children's toys and put them on a smoothie bowl at home. read more

OMG. i totally wished i didnt split the homemade pumpkin cinnamon roll with my friends. It was soooo good and hit that Fall Flavor craving. When i crave a hotdog, i come here and it just hits the right spot. Recommend the Spicy Ginger Beer italian soda if you want some thing thats also Fall Flavored but not too overwhelming. I'm torn between two or three stars. The hours are not accurate, which is very frustrating. I don't live close to this stand but at times I'll drive out on days I don't have to work or be anywhere and this place has only been open once out of maybe 6-7 times I've tried. I've tried at different times, in the morning and afternoon, and caught them open at 2pm or so in the afternoon. I think I'm going to have to stop wasting my gas and time, I hope they post accurate hours somewhere. The coffee can be hit or miss, sometimes it is burned. The fraps are pretty good, I haven't had a bad one yet. The food is good from what I've tried. I haven't had anyone be rude towards me here so I can't relate to the other experiences. If the owner ever reads this please update your hours to reflect accurately! If you have winter hours please post them somewhere! read more

I was surprised to see some of the negative reviews on this place since my experience here was generally a good one when I came by to visit the other day. Mocha Masters is a small coffee hut located on the corner of Old Seward and International Airport Rd. next to a dealership and diagonally across from the Peanut Farm. The surrounding parking lot is owned by the dealership but you should be okay taking a parking spot next to the hut for a quick bite and a drink. The lady running the hut is a very friendly, conversational person ready to take your order as soon as you pull up to the drive-thru window. The menu has an impressive selection of coffee drinks, pastries, hot dogs, breakfast burritos, and daily specials. I decided to try one of their hot dogs since I haven't had lunch yet. The lady gave me a small laminated form to customize my hot dog order. You have a choice of several meats including reindeer or beef for the dog as well as various toppings to choose from on a checklist. I went with the all-beef hot dog and topped it off with sauerkraut, mustard, diced onions, celery salt, chopped fresh garlic, and shredded Tillamook sharp cheddar cheese. The hot dog also came with free garlic pickle spears on the side. The hot dog was absolutely delicious, juicy and full of flavor. The bun was perfectly toasted and just the right length without overwhelming the sausage itself. The shredded cheddar and garlic made a versatile mix of flavor to complement the conventional toppings. Other specialty toppings for customizing your order also include salsa, sour cream, chili cheese, and olives. I also tried one of their signature Mocha Masters drink in a 16oz. This was a secret blend according to the lady that had a mix of what I can only guess was a milk chocolate powder, cinnamon, honey, hazelnut or Irish cream, and six shots (yes, six) of espresso. This was also good and provided just enough of a jump start for me to resume my studies in the afternoon. The daily specials change constantly with some of the specialty drinks that features an Irish latte and a chocolate frappe. I'd like to see more coffee huts across town like this that would have a wider, more eclectic selection of food items instead of the run-of-the-mill muffins or cookies that you usually see everywhere else in display cases. read more

Worst service ever. Ordered 2 reindeer sausages and that fancy mango drink which was great! 17 bucks all together. Pulled up the wrong way like a previous review and got the worst welcoming from that rude ass lady, same lady as the other reviews I'm for damn sure. Honestly wish I could give negative stars. We had an AWFUL time ordering from Mocha Masters. First of all, we almost drove away because it took so long for a barista to come to the window. Then when she did finally show up she was terribly rude. After we ordered she went and complained to another employee about the mere fact that I asked (very politely) for light ice in my drink. Then it took almost ten minutes for our drinks to be ready and there were no other cars in line behind or in front of us. On top of all that it was $9 just for one drink. That lady who was working today was THE RUDEST person ever! I can not believe she talked the way she did with us. First thing when we pulled up she said "just for future reference guys, we will not serve you if you pull up the wrong way. This is why we have this one way sign here." We said oh ok, we didn't know and started laughing awkwardly. Second thing was after we told her what we wanted she was like "ok, I'll start making the drinks if you pull up the correct way" ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Is that the way we talk to people now? If she's the owner then I'm sorry. That is not the way to gain new customers. If she's just an employee, maybe they should teach her customer service. I have to agree with Doris on the coffee being lousy, but the employees being nice. I've tried a mocha there and an Americano. Both were not good. I stopped at a gas station and bought a coffee and loaded it with cappucino/irish creme to blend with the Americano so it would be drinkable. On the plus side, their food is better. I ordered a pinanada similar to a mangonada but a pineapple coconut version. Booooooo it tasted exactly like a mangonada. No difference in taste. Glad I like mangonadas so I could still drink it. A little upsetting they stop making them at 4:25pm on weekends. I tried for a month straight going on the weekends and she'll never make it. Even if you're there on the dot. My favorite place to go to! I love their mangonada, they are some of the best I've had! Little pricey, but worth it. Their food is soo good. I love their hot dogs. And their Red Bull drinks are just as good as the ones back home at Dutch bro's. read more

Rudeness by the "The BLOND LADY" seems to be a theme in these reviews and we were no exception from the time we pulled up at MOCHA MASTERS to the point when we were told to "go somewhere else". I was disappointed and disheartened at THE BLOND LADY's attitude, having purchased coffee at MANY stands throughout this city with my adult child with disabilities and ALWAYS receiving respect, patience and courtesy. It has always been my experience that changing your mind regarding your order or even being indecisive, while it can be frustrating at the end of a long day, is totally ok and not a reason for rudeness, sarcasm and impatience. Not so at MOCHA MASTERS. Even an offer to pay to pay for a replacement drink was rebuffed and we were told to go elsewhere. Which happily, we did, since thankfully, there are MANY MANY establishments in Anchorage where ANY person including and especially those who experience disabilities, are treated with respect, courtesy and patience. I am grateful for these establishments and encourage my fellow coffee fans to seek them out and avoid MOCHA MASTERS. Perhaps MOCHA MASTERS could invest in some in-service training of their employees, particularly THE BLOND LADY! Currently pregnant and have been craving a mangonada for weeks, when I found out this coffee stand sold them I jumped in my car and drove 15 minutes out of my way to go get one. When I showed up it was 4:30 and apparently they stop selling them at 4:25 so they can close up by 5...The lady at the window acted like she went out of her way to make one for me, she seemed very friendly with the customer before me and I don't really understand why they're perfectly fine with making every drink except the mangonada until closing, especially since it took less time to make than the ladies coffee in front of me. If they were less concerned about closing on time they would make more money instead of being rude and turning customers away. Also for 24 oz it cost $9.75, would have been happier to pay that if the service had been better. read more

She's that blonde lady who doesn't take preorders even after my parents went after 6:30 and order 4 Mangonadas and she rudely told them to do a preorder next time after 6:30pm. That's exactly what I did because I wanted a mangonada. I called and she rudely said she doesnt do preorders like HONEYYYY!!! I'm trying to make your life easier cause I want 10 of those and you apparently take a decade or more just to make one and you yourself said u want my parents to call next time. AND THEY LISTENED!
