I decided to try out this spa with a friend since she had visited this a few years back and had a good experience. We did a Swedish massage and when you are filling out the form they ask if you would like light medium or hard. If you chose medium or hard, they will charge an additional $15. I didn't like that additional fee being added. I went ahead and did light and my friend did medium. I also saw them on Groupon- and they did not want us to check out on Groupon. They wanted to charge us the fee without going through the 3rd party. I've had Swedish massages before but this was not a favorite of mine. Although, I didn't enjoy it I was appreciative and as I was checking out I of course left a tip. When I stated the tip I was leaving, she laughed and asked for a higher tip. I was taken by surprise. My friend and I were able to try MoCee Day Spa and I was pleased. Before we went, I contemplated on purchasing the Groupon, but instead I spoke to the manager Daniel, and he told me to just set my appointment , walk in and pay after the massage was done. My friend paid $51 and I paid $66 due to me being pregnant! I was happy when we walked in, we were able to fill out the intake form and then they guided us to the back and we were able to get in the same room to change clothes for our couples massage! The room was soooooo nice! It was very relaxing and cozy. I was happy with the massage that they did and I was able to lay on my side. Purchased a couple massage off of groupon. First thing, it was so difficult scheduling due to language barrier. We had to schedule 6 weeks out just to get on the schedule. When we arrived at our appointment time, she said she still had to get things ready. Not sure why they weren't ready since it was a scheduled appointment and not just a walk in. The massage itself was okay. They had us circle "problem" areas, and it didn't seem like those areas were any more attended to than other areas. It was very distracting being in the room we were in because we were in the very front room, and every time someone came through the front door you could hear the door open and close and hear them talking. So we started late and finished on the hour, so we were also short changed on our 60 minutes. It was disappointing because the groupon said there would be mimosas, and there were NONE!!! I was given a gift of a couple's swedish massage with 2 mimosas for me and my daughter. I was charged $15 each. for medium to hard pressure. I feel some type of way because it was a gift. There were some ill feelings from them having to render service that was subtle but obvious. Then the lady told me after I paid to NOT PURCHASE ON GROUPON. So why sell on GROUPON if you are not happy to work with the vendor and makes me question is this extra charge legit because they were trying to make up lost wages for selling on GROUPON. So I had a couples massage & it was really good. However, the experience in the spa was a little short of being garbage. The speakers in the room were very staticy, messed up our mood/concentration (which we prolly could've asked for it be turned off but we didn't). However that's not the bad part. The bad part is when it was time to pay, we were already being asked for way too many up charges (which is normal is any business, however it was more of the being pushy). The final straw was basically being told that the tip we were going to give was not good enough. & that "most customers tip 20%" honestly we don't care was other ppl tip. They probably had a better experience than us, did y'all think about that?! Luckily my bf paid because I would've took that tip back & left nothing . I visited this place two years ago and was very unsatisfied. However I just recently gave this place another try and had Emma for a deep tissue massage. If you prefer firm, she's your girl! However, if you go with their Groupon. Their deep tissue does not include firm without a $10 up charge?? Never have had a deep tissue up charge on firm... If you become a member, firm is included. Wonderful experience here! My boyfriend and I received the forever sweetheart package. The staff was very friendly, and they gave us a little form to give them details on the massage style we wanted. We were given mimosas, fruit, and chocolates. The room was decorated with candles, flowers, and lights. There was relaxing music playing the entire time as well. Was here for a bachelorette and the owner was very responsive while we booked an appointment around 11:45pm for next day 10am.. we however could not make it and had to reschedule for 3pm the same day and the owner was accomodating.. we went there and they let you fill out forms explaining your skin type and type of massage.. the staff was very nice and we did have a nice relaxing Indulge yourself package massage.. we did not use any groupon but directly purchased it from their website..the whole experience lasted for 2 hours and it was a nice relaxing experience with a few negatives - wish they used some nice spa scents to up the spa feeling or some aromatherapy oils, sitters were walking in and out of the room and talking (very softly) amongst themselves.. i was not disturbed by the talking at all but the door was a little disturbing. Luckily, I had already known this before booking my appointment! When we arrived we were asked to fill out some paperwork (we arrived there 30 minutes early). After we filled out the paperwork we were taken into our room. The room was clean, and definitely felt relaxing. The massage felt good, but my back hurt really bad when it was done. The guy who I had put way too much pressure on it and I had circled "medium" on the paperwork. They also only massaged us for 50 minutes! Not the full 60 we had paid for. So I had a good time at this spa however, I've had better. We went for a friends surprise engagement celebration. When we arrived things felt so rushed and a bit scattered. Maybe we were scattered because we were trying to surprise our friend but either way things were definitely disorganized, BUT our friend was surprised... so thats what mattered at that moment. So for my massage, I asked for medium/firm and it was very soft. I wanted a little more firm and I actually asked but it never got really firm. Ticket started off at $74 via a Groupon special and ended up at $109 plus tip totaled $120 for me and my son. Almost forced to give a tip and scoffed at if tip is not up to par with their expectations. Speaking of expectations it's not what I expected since it is not advertised as a foot relaxation / reflexology business and you really don't know until you get there. (Side note; I like the reflexology centers but only in between and when I don't have enough to go to a more traditional massage therapy location but need some type of relaxation.) When we checked out, the girl said she hadn't realized it was a 90 minute but she could have the workers rub our feet for another 30 minutes! What?? Even though she knew she had made a mistake, she still upcharged us and ask for a tip. I was apprehensive as that doesn't seem right .. however the place is clean and the guy that did the massage was very good .. very good! So much so I bought one for my husband but the staff had changed for the afternoon and wanted payment, even though I'd already paid for him. We took my Mom for an early Mother's Day gift yesterday. The chocolates, strawberries, and mimosas that were included in our package were fresh. I'm pregnant so I just had orange juice but they were accommodating. My prenatal massage cost $15 extra but I'm not sure why. The massage was nice but nothing spectacular. It made me a little uncomfortable that the massage therapist didn't come meet me before the massage. The massage also didn't quite last 60 minutes. The therapist came in at about 4:10 and left promptly at 5:00 after stopping abruptly and saying "times up." I think the lack of politeness is probably a cultural/language barrier so maybe I shouldn't read too much into it. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience. I'm just glad it was free. My experience with Mocee day spa was better than I expected. Reading these reviews was very misleading. I went with my girlfriend on a groupon. It was a couples Swedish massage. They do not try to up sell you. They tell you what you are getting for the groupon and tell you what else they offer in case you didn't know. We ended up adding hot stones. Highly recommend. I'm sure for other people other add ons would be highly appreciated. The time starts when your appointment is so be there a little early to do paperwork. I loved the massage. It was very relaxing and just the right amount of pressure. I would highly recommend this place for a nice massage. read more

We booked one of the packages that included fruit and chocolates with a 90 minute Swedish massage. We filled out the form and specifically mentioned areas that were bruised so please avoid them. We went into the room, and the lady told us to get under the blankets and left. No preamble or discussion of our sheets. I can't say the massage was relaxing, or helped any of my soreness. They massaged areas without asking if it was ok (namely, we both had our butts touched more than we were comfortable with), really gave more of a back rub, and managed to hit all of the bruises that we had said to avoid. Afterwards, they just left and said "ok" so we assumed it was all done. The beds were not heated, and you could hear the bathroom across the hall. The reviews on Groupon were good, so I took the chance with this....bad decision! Our appointment was at 4:15 and we didn't go back to the massage room until at least 4:30. We were led to a room and were told to get undressed and just leave our clothes on the chair. This was pretty awkward..getting undressed next to each other and just going to lay on the table. At other spas, there are changing rooms and you get a robe.. We layed on the table, waiting, for 15 minutes!! Once the massages finally started, I told the lady TWICE to do the massage harder and she said she didn't want to hurt me..I couldn't feel anything but a back rub! I can give MYSELF a better massage. My husband had the exact same experience with the other lady. Not worth any amount of money. The massage ended after 45 minutes (not 60) and we were never given mimosas... They advertise Lymphatic Drainage Massage and this is what I went in for. I also added on the whole body dry brush exfoliation. I set my appt for 4:15. The day before they text and asked if I could come in at 330p, I couldn't and they asKed about 530 and I said ok. I got there and signed in and reminded I wanted a Lymphatic drainage massage. I was placed in the room and waited until 550p before someone came in. Once she started I knew she wasn't trained on Lymphatic drainage massage. The pressure was very hard and the movements were very traditional. She dry brushed my back very hard as well, and didn't dry brush the back of my legs/thighs (obviously the most important part) or my arms at all. I reminded her of the dry brush as she was turning me on my back and she said she would do the front of my legs. She did it so hard it clearly scratched and broke skin and I had to stop her and tell her it's supposed to be done lightly. The massage finished and I again looked up their description on their own website about Lymphatic drainage massage just to see if I i had missed something... not to mention I had already watched many tutorials on LDM and practice gua sha on myself and understand how Lymphatic draining works... I went to pay and told the lady (I'm guessing that's Lynn) that the massage was fine however it wasn't at all what I asked for and that she clearly wasn't experienced in my specific requests. First, she tried to tell me that maybe they were trained differently on a different type of LDM that's not a thing. Lymphatic drainage massage is light pressure with rapid movements following a specific path on the body. It does not vary. There is no mistaking it. She tried to excuse it by basically saying I didn't know what I was talking about, but then offered another lady. At that point I was done. They are obviously advertising specialties that they do not provide, nor have enough staff actually trained in them (if any at all). I am still on the search for a LDM specialist in the area and will not be returning to mocee. read more
