(This makes me feel all sorts of feelings! Why can't things stay the same and continue forever and ever?) However, nothing is forever, darling. I now see another amazing massage therapist at Indy Massage Company named Matthew. He is pretty great, and I look forward to relaxing on his table each month at IMC. He is intuitive and firm yet incredibly gentle, and I'm able to just surrender and let him work his magic. I've mostly only booked Swedish massages with him, but one time I booked a longer session where he really worked out the muscles in my upper back and shoulders, which really needed attention. Indy Massage Company is one of my favorite places in Indy, and I continue to love visiting this place when I can.

The room was calming and she knocked on the door before arriving in the room. She thought of everything - she told me that I could either talk or be silent if I wanted, told me to let her know how my temperature was, put all of my stuff neatly on a bench, etc, etc. The oil used smelled great and she was clearly trained well. Each part of the massage felt great - especially the neck, feet and calves. I'm usually a ticklish person but was completely relaxed. I got a groupon - only $45 for a 60 minute massage. SUCH a good deal! She also does monthly deals sometimes (this month is a $40 massage for a new person). Also so good. The only reason that this is four stars is because I couldn't find the location (it's a room in the second floor of a building that has an insurance sign out front) and I didn't see a sign for Heavenly Hands. I left the appointment still dry lol The last thing I want to comment on is the REQUESTING for a tip. It is beyond icky for a service provider to request a tip. Idk if it's a culture thing or what but I was preparing to pay for myself, my daughter and nieces massage with gift cards we received and while I was trying to discreetly count the cash I had in my purse (thinking the desk clerk was getting me a receipt together) I glanced up at her (cash in hand but sliding it out of my purse) and she was staring at me with an annoyed look on her face & said "Well, aren't you going to tip?" Whew old me would have slid that tip right back into my bag and vowed to never return based on her actions but the masseuse's that were assigned to us did a wonderful job so I couldn't bark at them when they weren't the ones that bit me. If there was a way to rate each part of the experience, I'd give the massage a 5/5 and the cashier a 0/5. Just thinking about the exchange while writing this gave me the ick.
