Later my husband told me as a surprise that he booked me a facial for later in the day. When I went to get the facial they informed me that they would have to charge my husband the full price and not the price he agreed to online since I was there that morning. Neither of us knew the other had booked the massages. So we had 2 options to either pay almost double what he agreed to or to pay a cancellation fee. We had cut our plans short to make it to the appointment and caused a terrible end to Our first family vacation. To be totally transparent, my masseuse was the first to ever give me a professional massage and experience is pretty limited but my experience with him and at Massage Heights is incredible- I look forward to it every month. The location at Iron Works is very clean, and very well staffed. There are a variety of professional available to help, including a team at the front that will educate you on the different option,memberships, and products available. I have a membership and choose to see the same person each month, but you do have the option to choose a different professional as often as you'd like. The massage rooms are private, clean, and have heated beds, with your choice of aromatherapy. There are a variety of "safety" features including a button to push if you find yourself uncomfortable. 10/10 highly recommended addition to your self care routine. read more

Finally got some much needed self care in! This place went above and beyond to make sure Covid protocol was followed. I felt safe as a guest by first seeing the mask signs on the door and social distancing markers on the floor. The check in staff wore masks. The masseuses wore masks and I had mine on the entire 60 minute session. There weren't a lot of people waiting around so I could tell there was intentionality in scheduling. There were notices stating that the private rooms were sanitized and there was sanitizer in the rooms for guests also. The service was excellent and it was a clean and soothing environment. The manager at this location is incredible. He managed to help me still save and get two massages even though my former location had cancelled my account without contacting me or explaining the reason. I am sad to know they no longer offer the pinnacle program I was a member of and have done away with the option of a 90 minute massages at an affordable price. I had my first massage with Massage Heights and they exceeded my expectations! They took very good care of me as I first walked through the door. They had me fill out a short questionnaire about what I wanted to get out of my massage and as a result my masseuse was able to cater to my needs very well! The heated massage bed, the soothing music, and scented aromatherapy spray all created for a very relaxing experience. Now I tend to be a pretty ticklish person at times and sometimes cannot help but get ticklish during a massage. However, when I told my masseuse that, she asked which areas were more ticklish and avoided them. This helped for a much calmer and tickle free experience. Had a 90 minute deep tissue/firm massage with Erik today and it was really good. I'd recommend him for anyone who has a particular complaint, mine was my shoulder, as it seems he is knowledgeable with anatomy and physiology. He is good with targeting muscle insertion areas to release tension. I did the hot stones and they were okay... I think I expected more. They cool down really quick. I would have opted for more time massaging my neck and upper back area instead of adding the hot stones if I could do it all over again. Overall, it's a really good deal. I believe it's $60/mo for either a massage or facial. At first I was seeing Preston, and he was fine. I'd never had a massage before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Then I think Preston left, and I booked with Bekah, and she is amazing! I regret not seeing her sooner! Not only is she incredibly kind, but she's great at her job. I've worked with two different therapists at this location and both have been phenomenal. I prefer a firm massage, and Toni and Gary both had a firm touch, were incredibly professional, and seemed very tuned into the vibe of "please don't talk to me during this massage" I know I was giving. The one challenge I face with spas that have membership programs is that the blissful experience is followed closely by a hard-sell to purchase a membership and I find that I spend those first few moments after I "wake up" from the service calculating how I'll reply to their well-intentioned efforts to get me to join when my budget and my calendar just can't make it happen. That said, here are a few things I love about this location and their services: -Free and plentiful parking. (Note: Take Keystone/Mall traffic into consideration when planning your travel, though!) -The aromatherapy choices are nice blends. But after receiving it I ended up buying a 6 month package for a discounted rate to get a massage (or facial) every month. I had Ashley as my massage therapist and she was great. Asked all the right questions. Applied the right pressure. And made me comfortable enough to almost fall asleep. The aromatherapy is also a nice touch. What a great facility?!!! Hubby and I decided to get massages on our day off. We usually don't have time off, but decided to check out Massage Heights. Online you'll see it says, "By Appointment Only" but when we called, we were able to get an appointment the same day. Apparently not typical, but it happens. We were greeted by a friendly staff when we came in. She showed us how to fill out our paperwork and everything. For some, this may seem like a bit much, but the young lady assured us it was necessary for the massage and we'd only have to do it once. So cool. After that, our therapists cane out and met us in the lobby. We saw Kaitlyn and Jason; who were really friendly and pleasant. They brought us to the couple's room did a little consultation and got things on the way. Jason was my therapist and did a fantastic job. So much so apparently I fell asleep and didn't even realize it (embarrassing lol because he said I snored a little lol). Hubby said Kaitlyn was fantastic! I've been a regular customer here for about a year and I have only good things to say. The owners are nice, the administrative staff is friendly and welcoming, and masseuses are great. In particular, I have to give a shout out to Indea who has been consistently amazing. The salon is clean and conveniently located inside Ironworks with a plenty of parking available. It's a steal if you have monthly membership and having tried a few other massage places o have to say this is a quality experience. When you walk through the door you are welcomed with calming aromas and smiles. The facility is always clean and well stocked with goods you can purchase for your at -home relaxation needs. Every massage therapist I've encountered there has been thorough, asking me what my needs are, what areas need attention. When I leave, I'm given a sheet with a run down of what areas they feel need extra attention, and exercises I can do at home to help myself. They also provide add-ons that you can use to enhance your experience. So far, the hot stones are my favorite. But I will continue to try the others as well. I have a membership for a 60 minute massage per month, and receive discounts on additional massages and add-ons. I really feel like it's 100% worth it to go the membership route. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel relaxed and to help you enjoy your experience, whether that means chatting with you about your expectations or providing you with water after your treatment. I've gotten a few facials with Jaysha and she's so kind, knowledgeable, and gentle. My skin is really sensitive and I always leave feeling and looking glowy and radiant! She always asks me whether I'd like her to explain the steps of the facial as she does them or if I'd rather relax and enjoy the treatment. I've done both and regardless head out relaxed and looking forward to my next appointment. The spa itself is gorgeous, well maintained, and relaxing in every way. My massage therapist, Aubrey was awesome- super professional and very receptive to all my aches and requests. The rooms were very clean and relaxing and I liked that I was able choose which aromatherapy I wanted. Had a first time massage here today. I found this place on Groupon and was very pleased that I tried it. I went in with lots of pain and I feel good now! I loved my massage. My therapist was Jesse and he was very professional and did a great job. The atmosphere is very attractive and clean. I will definitely come again. Only thing I didn't like was the multiple checks & rechecks that I was coming for my appointment. They also stressed that I'd be charged if I no-showed. I said ok- wasn't planning on not showing- but thought there was a little too much emphasis on this when I scheduled and with the appointment reminders. It's been a real hit-or-miss experience with some of the therapists seeming quite inexperienced though, and I do wish I had paid more attention to the fact that their non-member prices are twice as expensive as any place around before I committed to 6 months of services (which renews automatically unless you remember to cancel), so it's really not a great deal. Also, there is only one esthetician between the two locations, so the availability for facials is scant. I would say I was disappointed, but that it's my own fault for making an impulsive decision to sign up for membership without doing my research. My fiancé and I bought a couples massage not too long ago at the introductory rate. Upon entering, it was very clean and inviting. The girl helping us was very nice and promptly handed us both iPads to fill out personal information. Unfortunately, she was WAY too talkative. I couldn't even concentrate on the form due to answering her numerous questions. To make matters worse, they were personal questions about our engagement, wedding, where we live, what restaurants we go to, everything under the sun. She'd seem to finally go away and then come back and ask more awkward questions. I grew increasingly annoyed with her while waiting for our therapists. Nothing about answering numerous questions is relaxing when you're there to ..... relax. The massage itself was great. The room was very clean and up to date. We both were able to choose a scented aroma - even two! The massage was thorough and the focus was on my shoulders (per my request) but she did not leave any area untouched. I believe her name was Amanda. The one thing that I guess I can appreciate but also realize it's just not for me is the fact that this is a sales/membership approach. We walked out with recommendations of how the therapist wanted to see us next and how they would continue to work on us. This all sounds wonderful if you have the time and money for 3-4 week massages. Checking out, you can imagine the same girl would DEFINITELY pry for memberships from us. Again, a million questions began as I waited for my fiancé to use the restroom. Even after he did and we denied the desire to sign up that day and said we would discuss it another time, she continued to tell us all about the deals (which if you've ever been in sales, every place always has a sale. That's a given). All in all, wonderful massage therapists and massages. Just not sure we will be back for fear of being pestered by awkward question girl or to buy a membership. I think this is one of those instances of trying to jam a square peg into a round hole. Things just did not fit with me and Massage Heights at Ironworks. This isn't the place for me. Now, there's nothing inherently wrong with Massage Heights. The people who work here are friendly. The massage I received was fine. The price was more than decent. In fact, you'd probably really like it here, so I think you should try it. But the reasons I won't be back are probably the same reasons why people really like it, so I'll outline those reasons and why they're annoying to me. 1. Upon check in, you have to fill out a form on one of their iPads that takes about 10 minutes. That's fine -- I've almost never not had to fill one out before a massage, so that's not my beef. My beef stems from one of the attendants sitting right beside me and chatting me up while I was trying to concentrate on filling out the form. She was asking me all kinds of personal questions, like where I live, how many kids I have, what my husband does for a living and if he ever gets massages (which was kind of weird, but I'll come back to that later). On my best days, it's really stressful to engage in idle chit-chat with strangers, and it takes a lot of my brainpower and drains my energy to think of things to say during conversations. When I'm trying to fill out a form? It's super-duper stressful times three. Also, I just wanted to relax before my massage -- being forced to have a conversation made me feel the opposite of relaxed. By the time the massage therapist called me back for my massage, I could feel that the muscles in my face and shoulders were really tight. Not a good start. For people who find talking to strangers relaxing, I'm sure this would not faze you in the slightest. But for me, and other like me, it's a big turn-off. 2. After my massage (which was just OK), the attendants were trying to sell me products, like smelly lotions and massage packages. They were super friendly about it, but still -- they were selling to me right after my massage. I just wanted to enjoy the blissful, relaxed state that the massage left me in, and instead, I had to explain why I wouldn't be purchasing products or signing up for a package. The attendant suggested that I try to convince my husband to get a massage there, because I had told her earlier that my husband likes to get massages too. Groan. It got to the point where I just wanted to throw some cash on the counter and split, but I listened to her spiel with a smile on my face while I felt all the muscles (that were just massaged) become tense again. Again, this would probably be fine for people who don't mind chatting about products and who want to sign up for a package. I don't want a package, and I didn't want to buy anything more than the massage that I just had. 3. For two weeks after my massage, I received THREE different phone calls from Massage Heights, asking if I wanted to sign up for a massage package. I'm not even kidding. Each time, the person on the phone asked how my massage was (Fine) and if I'm ready to come back to get another one (No). During the third phone conversation, when I said that I would not be signing up or coming back, the person actually asked me why. Are you serious? Why does it matter? If I wanted to visit again, I would -- I don't need people calling me to ask me. For a place that touts relaxation, hounding people on the phone is not a good way to promote that! I also received emails trying to entice me back, which I had to unsubscribe to. Again, I'm sure this marketing tactic works for many people, but it just makes me stressed and not want to visit ever again. I'm no massage rookie. I've had a lot of massages and spa experiences during my life, all around the U.S., and I've never had one quite like this. It makes me tense just writing this review, so I should probably go get a massage -- just not here. read more
