We were greeted by their friendly staff and ordered a bunch of food, because we wanted it all! You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. We started with chicken egg rolls. One order included 2 egg rolls. I loved that they were not greasy and that they were lightly fried. Inside was ground chicken. Very tasty comfort food for a cold night. Next we had sushi rolls. We thoroughly enjoyed the spicy tuna and shrimp tempura rolls. They were perfect in every way Finally, we had the steak and shrimp hibachi platters, mine with teriyaki sauce and noodles and my husband's with rice. Both came with cabbage, broccoli, and carrots. The portions are good-sized. We could only eat half and took the rest home for dinner the next night. Scrumptious! I highly recommend Hibachi Express. Delicious, high-quality food at reasonable prices. I am putting this restaurant in my favorites!

I ended up having digestive issues and got sick for a day or two after eating from here which was disappointing, because the vibe is awesome in this spot and the positive energy is contagious. I felt so relaxed and joyous here. I think the food can be cooked better even though they are generous with excellent portion sizes. I think it is a strong contender for one of the best restaurants in the region if they step the food preparation up. I also did not like this sauce they provided, but it does have better customer service than the typical DMV spots which tend to struggle with the customer service, so they get an A with that making you feel welcomed and respected and not strictly transactional experience, very warm, nice, attentive, diligent, and hard working staff, so they have the bones here, so once they step up the actual food prep and quality then they will be 4 to 5 stars easily. This would be a place I would bring friends from out of town who want to have an experience similar what you would find NYC or Vegas. We had a really good time, especially on $10 margaritas and all you can eat meat. The presentation is really wonderful and I love the thought behind the presentation when it comes out. The Wagyu Fried Rice and Curry is one of the bests I've ever had. And the scallops with butter on the grill were awesome. Definitely a favorite. I will add the the iPad that you order with will start a timer for 90 minutes, and you can only put in an order every ten minutes which was annoying, so I did feel a bit of pressure with ordering. The time limit is to control time spent which makes sense if it was busy. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the wet mop smell we had during dinner, but don't know if it is because it was hot out and the AC was not blasting high enough with all the grills going off, so it was kind of hot and sticky during dinner. You can also choose to add unlimited sushi for an additional five dollars. That was definitely worth the add on. They give you full sushi rolls and not just a couple of pieces. They will limit you to a maximum of 15 items you can order and one time. It seems like a lot, but that also includes your appetizers and sizes. There is also a 10 minute cooldown between orders. Overall, the experience is excellent. Not a place you would come frequently but for an occasional night out, it is great. I am interested in coming in one day just to check out the bar scene. As we were leaving, it looked pretty lively over there.

Our friend rice was served lukewarm (the consistency of rice was a bit uneven like older rice that was left out for a bit) and way too oily so we had to send it back. Had no issues with the meat and service - although it was a tad slow and the 10 minute cooldown between ordering was unexpected. Our server was great and kept checking in with us. A few items we ordered never made it out to us, but at that point we were too full to care. My main complaint was with one of the hosts. We finished our meal and thanked our waiter and made our way back to the parking garage. From behind, we heard a very loud "EXCUSE ME." We originally thought we had dropped something and someone was looking out for us, but was appalled when she followed us halfway across the street and said "you think you're just going to leave without paying for your mocktail?" That was hands down the rudest I've been treated by a customer service based establishment. I've worked in hospitality and know you should never accuse a customer of anything. To make matters worse, she got the wrong people - we never ordered a mocktail. Will likely not return to Gyuzo for a while and stick to other bbq places with better service.

I had an awesome experience here. The sushi was fresh, clean-tasting, and honestly some of the best I've had in the area. What really stood out, though, was the owner--super chill, welcoming, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his customers. I originally ordered an item that wasn't available, and instead of just telling me "sorry," he surprised me with a few premium pieces on the house. That little gesture went a long way and really showed the pride he takes in the place. Great food, fair prices, and an owner who treats you right. I'll definitely be coming back. The presentation felt rushed, and beyond the standard sushi, the fried soft shell crab was a big letdown, tasting greasy and stale. My main issue was the suspect quality of the fish overall. It didn't taste fresh and had an off-putting texture, which is unacceptable given the premium cost. Skip this place and look elsewhere for better, fresher sushi. read more

I had started a Biggest Loser challenge at my work and was trying to lose weight. I got sushi rolls, which was fairly healthy, not a whole lot of food, which a bit of a negative as I was hungry not that long later. iSushi is decent, but nothing to write home about. I've had worse sushi like one time a year earlier in January 2018, I got Safeway grocery store sushi. Now that sushi was weak! My girlfriend at that time was significantly late, like an hour late. We were going to go to a sit-down restaurant in Wheaton before a game night at apartments above the Safeway, but because she was so dang late, we grabbed sushi quickly from Safeway. Interesting side note about this day at Wheaton Mall: On this particular Saturday, I had a 2nd (& last) date with this woman for the movie at AMC Wheaton called On the Basis of Sex about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg's early days in law school trying to get into law, which was almost unheard of when she started in 1956. At the end of the movie, there were captions about Ginsberg in her real life with pictures. When seeing the real life facts, my date said I didn't realize this a true story. I was surprised she was thinking Ruth Bader Ginsberg was some nice fictional story. In summary, staff at iSushi was nice. It is not a place I'd rush back to, but it's not a bad option in the food court.

The California roll was fine, but it's hard to get that wrong. The spicy tuna and spicy salmon were underwhelming. The fish didn't look particularly fresh--the color seemed off--and the flavor wasn't what I'd expect from a sushi restaurant at this price point. I ate everything immediately after it was served, so freshness shouldn't have been an issue. Another surprise was the "spicy" rolls. Instead of the traditional spicy mayo and finely chopped spicy tuna or salmon that most sushi restaurants serve, they used a spicy oil and left the fish in larger chunks. It wasn't what I ordered or expected, and it changed the entire texture and flavor of the rolls. I understand that Potomac is an expensive area, but charging premium prices should come with premium quality. Unfortunately, this felt like very average sushi at luxury prices. I won't be returning.

We ordered three number 8s. The beef,chicken,shrimp combo with the fried rice and noodles! Sooooo good! Super tasty with their sauces. The amount of food you get for the price is great! The location is perfect with plenty of parking and if you want to eat inside you can there's table and chairs. Great amount of seating. Customer service was good as well. Friendly staff! I will definitely add this place to my "don't feel like cooking" list of places to go to! The sushi was amazing too! I got the fried shrimp tempura!
