Michael actually picks up the phone! He is very responsive, communicative, professional, and thorough. He explains things in a very patient manner and goes over it as many times as needed. His rates are extremely affordable and he's fast - 2 days turnaround to order and install a new Samsung 2TB solid state drive. He calls and texts during the process to clarify and give me updates. He also installed two free spyware apps and other useful freebies for me to try out. I especially appreciated him uninstalling unwanted tools and apps that I don't need on my system pestering me constantly about scheduling updates. Our whole family is using cooling pads now at his recommendation, and we don't know how we ever went without them. I can't say enough great things about Michael! My wife's computer hard drive crashed and we could not tell if it was recoverable or not. Mobile Tech patiently explained the options, the odds and the cost of attempting a recovery with no pressure. We elected to replace/upgrade the hard drive. My sense was that they did everything they could to help keep our cost down -- like bugging me to dig out an old Windows 7 license so that we could save $99. They did the work in under 24 hours once we gave the go ahead, They replaced the hard drive and replaced as much of the lost software as they could by installing freeware to keep us rolling. We were unhappy with our WiFi. The Mac laptop spent a lot of time "searching for networks". The PCs weren't so bad. We'd taken the Laptop to the Apple Genius and had talked to AT&T DSL by phone, but things weren't better. I happened to spot MobileTech's storefront when I was headed to a nearby Corte Madera location. I liked the idea that a knowledgeable person could come to our house. I didn't use their service or buy anything here, but the employee helped me understand and troubleshoot the issue with my computer before sending it back to the manufacturer because it was under warranty. He was patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. Didn't charge me anything for his time. Their diagnostic cost was pretty pricey though, but a small shop like this probably needs it to survive. I have had the need to use Mobile Tech on a few occasions and am pleased to give them a 5 Star rating. Their service tech (Michael) replaced an existing wireless network in my home which had been installed by a different firm. The old system would not reach all areas in my house and was constantly going down, despite repeated maintenance calls from the installer. MobileTech installed a new system in a few hours and it has been working perfectly 24/7 for the past 4 months.
