Located in the Placer Heights Plaza, next to Starbucks. Same plaza as Holiday Market and CVS Pharmacy. We were seated immediately as they were not busy. The menu was a bit different than online. Our server came to take our order. He didn't introduce himself and seemed like he didn't want to be there. We decided on the fried green tomatoes, fried chicken sandwich and catfish po' boy. When the po' boy came out, we thought it was burnt! We didn't know the catfish will be blackened by default. We thought it will be fried since it is a po' boy. The options can be blackened or fried based on the menu online. We were not given those options by our server. They brought out the food but didnt provide utensils until minutes later. Fried green tomatoes: It was good. Fried perfectly. The dressing that was tossed with the side salad was super salty. Catfish po' boy: Fish was tender but super salty as well. Fried chicken sandwich: Pretty good sandwich. Chicken was huge. The fries was so soggy, not crispy at all. Also very greasy. We were a bit disappointed as we drove out of our way to try this place. Nice ambiance though. I felt I was a bit underdressed lol

We chose Woody's because our little one wanted mac 'n cheese and they have some of the best in town! I cannot rave enough about the restaurant and how well they handled the party. The booking process was easy and completed via e-mail. This aspect was handy as I didn't have to leave the house or make a phone call on a busy day. The gentleman I spoke to answered all of my questions during the booking process. On the day of the party, we showed up a few minutes early to put up some decorations. A waitress and waiter came and greeted us right away. The owner even came by, promptly, and introduced himself to me. The kindess and professionalism was outstanding. Our waitress (I wish I remembered her name! I feel terribly that I can't provide it.) did an outstanding job! We were a big group of people and she took all of our orders, answered questions, and helped us with anything we needed. I hope it can be determined who worked that day so she can be given her kudos as she was lovely! Lastly, the kitchen staff did a great job getting our food out in a timely manner. I was impressed by their speed and the food was delicious. As the restaurant was busy, we didn't have a chance to say thank you one final time before we left. So, thank you again, Woody's! You guys made the party enjoyable and easy for us. We felt we could take a step back and enjoy our daughter's day! :)

Or maybe they were the peppers/onions that go on the cheesesteak? We did a DoorDash for a work group and with all fees it was a $30 sandwich (menu price $23) but I trashed after 3 bites. I tried, because I do not like to waste, but I couldn't stomach that combo. The side salad was actually great so I ate that, but essentially, $30 for a side salad is no bueno.

For starters we had steamed clams, calamari and meatballs. For our mains we decided on their Bistro Filet Ravioli, which has Ricotta, Romano, Parmesan, and Asiago jumbo stuffed raviolis, creamy alfredo, chili flakes, topped with their signature pan-seared bistro filet tips. It was amazing. We also had their Ribeye steak at about $53.00. I think it was a 14oz hand-cut ribeye, and it had the best butter on it. It came with mashed Yukon potatoes and marinated asparagus. We will be getting all of this again. We were staying in a hotel so took home some great pasta. The service is great. The food is amazing and the place is just so cute and ever so clean.

I really wanted to love this place. I had high hopes after reading the reviews and seeing the…read morephotos of the food on their online menu. However, I was extremely disappointed with my entrée. I ordered the chicken Marsala and it was so bland I was actually shocked. How could nothing on the plate have any flavor? I added salt and pepper twice and that didn't even help. The vegetables had zero seasoning. The mashed potatoes had huge chunks in them and zero seasoning. The chicken and Marsala sauce, tasteless. I saw so many reviews raving about the chicken Marsala. Maybe they got a new cook because the sauce was basically just heavy cream didn't look anything like other pictures people posted. My husband got the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were very good and had lots of flavor but the marinara was also quite bland and the garlic bread was a joke. It was toasted bread with a smidge of butter, no garlic whatsoever. I will not go back for the price. Definitely not worth it. The fried artichokes and salad were good, but the entree is the most important part and they totally dropped the ball. Very disappointing.

Wife and I got there a little earlier than the rest of the family (a total of 5 people) on a Sunday morning; be prepared, this restaurant is small. We expected a wait and were not surprised at about a 35 minute wait. In the meantime everyone had arrived. After being seated we found the service to be good and attentive. Then came breakfast. Overall I'd rate it as an 8-8.5. Hash browns were awesome. The girls all had variations of their favorites: pancakes, waffles, French toast, etc and they enjoyed that. My wife's bacon was overcooked (near burned) so it went back and the revision was good. I'm very much a steak and potatoes guy, so when the waitress said their special was a ribeye with eggs and potatoes (yeah I know, some of you are thinking heart attack on a plate) I had to try it. Added a biscuit with a side of gravy (yeah, yeah, I know...) and soon that arrived. Now I realize this is not a fine steakhouse and I wasn't expecting prime but it seemed like I had to chew for an hour. Didn't finish the ribeye (doggie bag) and figured the biscuits & gravy would be the clincher to save the breakfast. Quite bland and flavorless, with the biscuit being very dry. Too bad because everyone else seemed to be thoroughly enjoying their meal. BUT my hash browns were amazing and the company was as well and hey, it was breakfast. The eggs were also just right!

I wasn't hungry so I had the kid's size chicken tenders 2 pieces and fries. My husband had Mimi's Southern BBQ sandwich on a bun, macaroni and cheese, plus half of my fries. That sandwich was huge. Three large chicken tenders, BBQ sauce, plus cheese, bacon, slaw, onion straws and looked to be enough for two people. He enjoyed it, and ate about 2/3rds of it. Only comment from him was something about going on a diet when his work training was over! The chicken tenders were good, flavorful, and big. The fries, supposedly a kid's portion, was very generous. They were good, but had an oniony taste to them. Better than average, though. I'd definitely return with an appetite!

It's a large space, but the seating feels awkwardly arranged and surprisingly limited for the size of the room. There's also a side room with plenty of seating that, for some reason, always seems to be closed off. They could easily be serving twice the volume, but choose not to. They also have a liquor license, yet they close at 9:30, even on Fridays and weekends. And speaking of the liquor license, you'd think it was a beer-only spot because there's basically no indication that they make mixed drinks or cocktails. Overall, it just feels like a place with a lot of strange business choices. I'm always disappointed when Maxwell's sounds like the perfect place to go, then I check the time and realize it's 9 p.m. on a Friday, which somehow already feels too late.
