The only thing that seized was the a/c unit. We now have our truck back and working fine for $1,600, Major error on 9th Street's part. Additionally, the work order to replace the a/c unit listed replacing the #1 spark plug and the ignition coil because they had been removed. I have all kinds of questions about why 9th Street did that.

After examining my vehicle, I was told that in order to have that switch replaced, it would be necessary to have the steering column removed so they could access this switch and it would cost approximately $700.00. The one issue that I have is the quality of parts used by the shop. I had a distributor put on my truck and it started having issues recently (roughly 7 months later). My family's longtime trusted shop (in Eastern Oregon) looked over the truck and noted that this distributor was a subpar quality part. Other than potentially low quality parts, I have been happy to be a customer here and plan to continue visiting them. But hopefully not too often, haha!

We brought in our vehicle for some codes and were looking for guidance and then subsequent repairs. After the oil filter was pulled, we were told we needed a new engine - to the tune of 18,000! The shop told us the filter was completely full of metal contaminant and there was nothing further to inspect. This made little to no sense as we had no loss of power, no ticking, knocking or other signs of engine trouble. Completely confused and at a loss, we opted to pick up our vehicle and obtain a second opinion at an alternate shop. That next shop proceeded to pull the oil filter and while some contaminant was noticed, there was zero evidence of any metal contamination. They pulled the filter apart, searched it, ran a magnet and could definitively confirm there was no metal present. The shop was able to uncover the oil pump solenoid was not functioning properly due to a blocked screen. We replaced the oil pump assembly, and it is running perfectly without further incident. It seems as though the technician cut many corners by not proceeding to review the oil filter to confirm what the contaminant was. Had we blindly listened to Wade Bryant, we might have unnecessarily spent a small fortune on a new engine that was absolutely not needed!
