I brought in a 2014 old macbook air and it had major system damage that was my fault. I found them because it's listed on Apple as a site that acts as a Genius bar. They were quick to diagnose the issue but unfortunately they couldn't fix it. The guy up front was super nice. They put a tag on the computer that is like a full sticker and it damaged the top of my laptop because I can not get the sticky stuff off. They need a better system for sticking the tickets onto the products they get. read more

First time here and a great experience. I made an appointment yesterday through the Apple website because my iPhone was having charging issues. I had already tried cleaning the charging port myself with little success. When I came in this morning, I was greeted right away and explained the problem. Less than five minutes later, I had my phone back. The charging port was partially blocked with lint, which they quickly cleared out -- and they didn't charge me. I WISH there was an option for "negative stars" on yelp for my experience I had gone through. Absolute dissappointed, pissed off, frustrated and everything negative word that could describe my experience. Background: I have a Macbook Air 15" 2026 Laptop. I had an issue where my screen was cracked from my cat on the corner of my laptop. While I was waiting for my Apple (walk-in appt) I came to this location, seeking for "immediate" help. When I had made the innitial appointment with them (they service with Apple [just another location] for repair/genius bar), I expected "decent" customer service from the female employer. They send you a "consenting waiver form" to your phone/text-message, that you are "agreeing" you're handing over your electronic to this location. The PROBLEM: I am not one to be "set off" with things I have bought with my own money that is separate from apple products. I had bought a screen protector for my laptop, for the reason to keep any scratches from happening FROM AMAZON - NOT FROM APPLE. What really just made me so UNBELIEVABLY PISSED OFF about this, NOT ONLY, mind you... I JUST CHECKED INTO MY APPOINTMENT, but the FEMALE EMPLOYEE RIPPED OFF, I repeat this statement... "RIPPED OFF" my screen protector that I had BOUGHT with MY OWN money, with out even ASKING me. She just "assumed" and told me, "yeah, you don't need that - there is no "use" for it". I DID NOT PAY FOR ANYTHING FROM MY APPOINTMENT; no waiver was signed, I had not even discussed my situation or even decide to leave my laptop at this location to be repaired/fixed. She showed me from her customer service, that by removing MY screen protector without my consent and COMPLETELY throwing it away, and did not even give it back or refund me in some type of way because SHE decided to throw something, without even MOVING FORWARD with my appointment. What I chose to do: I left, without even acknowledging it, as she showed me her attitude, her customer service and the way she can treat future customers. I had spoken with the Brea Apple Store IT/Repair specialist and they are fully aware and they told me they would NEVER do something like that without ASKING. I had apple care on my account, and even the employee's at Apple store, were able to help me out with no issue. Conclusion: If the female employee would have just simply asked for my consent to remove something from my laptop, I would not be sitting here today, writing a bad review. It basic common sense to be respectful and just ask with a simple conversation/question to the customers that come in with their issues with apple products, etc. I'm not an idiot, nor should I ignore something that could have been prevented. My Suggestion: Do better at this location. I'm not pleased or happy. how my laptop was treated. Maybe speak to her about how she handles customer's devices/electronics; whether it may be from an Apple product or bought from another place (ex. target, amazon, bestbuy, etc.). I came in for service on my IPad because I accidentally locked it out & the screen just became unresponsive. I looked on the Apple website with what to do & they directed me to bring my device to an Apple certified repair store & I decided to go to Mobile Kangaroo. I've never previously been here before, so I came in with no expectations. Initially, I set my appointment time REALLYYY early & I did not feel like waking up to leave for it. Through their appointment-based texting system, it was extremely simple to reschedule to a later time or even reschedule to a different location if need be! There were no fees or anything to set/reschedule appointments & I truly loved how simple it was! I ended up coming in to the store at 12:50 PM & I was 10 minutes late, but Cristian & Ryan were extremely quick to help me & I did not have to wait at all even though I came a little late. The customer service was amazing & they were so helpful to explain whatever my issues & needs were! The service was quick & even though the time was quoted to be an hour, I got my IPad back in 30 minutes! I dropped my phone in another state and it shattered into a hundred pieces. I thought for sure that I would be without a phone for a day or two or at least several hours. I made an appointment on line and was prompt when I showed up. They took my phone and said it would take a few hours. They were closing for lunch at noon, and they asked me to come back in 30 mins. My phone gave up on me one morning early in the week, and they were local, close, and also offered the soonest available appointment (that very day and hour). All the other Apple locations or Apple authorized service providers were either booked out for the next couple of days or overlapped with my working hours. 6/24 Needed a new battery for my iPhone. Reluctant to switch to an iPhone 14, since they are SO much heavier. Made an appt for Sat AM. Come to find out 3 people ahead of me also said they scheduled via Apple's website. None of their appt times were scheduled due to a glitch in Apple's server. They all had screen shots. Tip: Use the Kangaroo mobile site to make your appts. Those through Apple website won't record at Kangaroo's offices. Anyway, 1-1/2 hrs later, was able to pick up my phone with a new battery! Around $120. Be aware that there are usually 2 people working. On this Sat, the second employee was late. So she was taking care of the front desk while no one is working on repairs. Will return should my iPhone need repairs (before I bite the bullet & upgrade). It's so much easier than trekking to the mall & waiting with 50 other people. read more

I took a seat waited for her to finish with the customer and then she took the other customer who was there before me...still never said hi or acknowledged I was there..when she finished with the second customer she asked me if I had an appointment. I did not, which seemed to catch her off guard although there website states walk ins welcome...she said I have a few minutes before next appt but if they come in you will have to keep waiting.
