Menu (Part 1)
Ian A.

I ordered the Cafe de Olla ($6.75 - medium - iced - regular milk). This is weak coffee. I continued to feel sleepy after its consumption. It's a harmless, boring drink. It tastes like powdery milk tea. I arrived at Mobar Coffee (Montebello) on Thursday (around 12:33PM). It's located inside the Montebello Mall (aka: "The Shops at Montebello"). This small business is on the 2nd floor. It's across Macy's, and it sits besides Kay Jewelers. Nearby parking is plentiful and simple. Staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Staff greeted me with a smile, and staff eagerly explained their menu's options. Staff appeared well-informed and diligent. I ordered the Cafe de Olla ($6.75). The drink was ready in three minutes. Fairly quick. As mentioned, the Cafe de Olla ($6.75 - medium - iced - regular milk) did not taste bad. It's just unmemorable. I'd compare its flavor to milk tea. It had a chill milk & powder taste with a weak caffeine kick. Unfortunately, this Cafe de Olla borders on the edge of bland. On ambiance, I appreciate the attempt by Mobar Coffee (Montebello). The location has six round tables labelled "Mobar." Surprisingly, these tables are near electrical outlets. There's about three electrical outlets for electronic devices by these tables which is a monumental achievement for a generic mall vendor. Mobar Coffee (Montebello) is also conveniently located beside the Kids Play Area which allows families to take a breather from their busy kiddos if searching for a light rest. The location is also relatively clean and well-ventilated since it's in a well-maintained mall. Overall, Mobar Coffee (Montebello) offers adequate drinks. Its drinks are fairly standard and affordable, but it's not remarkable. It's a possible option if meandering nearby. 4 out of 5

I tried the cafe de olla foam cold brew and it was delicious! The flavor was perfect and not too sweet! The girl working at the counter was very sweet and patient with all my questions! It is in the mall so there is no place to sit

I've passed this place multiple times and I finally decided to come and I got a strawberry matcha, it was very sweet, tasted like vanilla and can hardly taste the matcha. Hardly tasted strawberry, it only has a couple dried strawberries on it and vanilla cold foam. Nothing strawberry matcha about it lol. The color of the matcha wasn't the best and the service was fine. I got a medium size and paid almost nine dollars for a drink that tasted bad.

Wow! Tasty! My work got this for us and it was a great surprise!! So very tasty! I asked what was their signature drink got the hot vanilla cinnamon. Fantastic! Friendly people working there and it created a great atmosphere! I appreciate them for great service.

Located on the second floor of the Montebello mall near forever 21, this place is a convenient coffee shop for on the go coffee while shopping since there is no seating here. The staff are nice and friendly and they made a few recommendations for my first time. I think this spot is a great alternative to Starbucks where they have the holiday speciality drinks but I would come here for high quality coffee. Parking: plenty of lot parking

Horchata Latte

Best little coffee gem. For some reason Montebello mall doesn't have any coffee options except for the Starbucks inside Macy's. I think it's so weird. So I was excited when this place opened up. I have tried the mocha latte and the horchata latte. Both are great!

Always friendly service! The coffee is roasted to perfection with a hint of sweetness. Best coffee around definitely recommend to whoever is in the area!

So there I was, just doing some innocent window shopping with my mom at the Montebello Town Center--minding my business, not looking for caffeine trouble--when BAM! I spotted a cute little coffee shop upstairs called Mobar. Naturally, I wandered in like a moth to a latte. I told the barista I wanted something that wouldn't send me into a sugar coma because, you know, I'm trying to make better life choices (or at least pretend to). She whipped up an iced vanilla latte with almond milk, two shots of espresso, and two pumps of sugar-free vanilla like she was reading my mind. (Sprinkle of cinnamon on top) It was smooth, not too sweet, and just the right amount of "I can handle my life now." Customer service? 10/10. I don't know if she was a barista or a caffeine fairy godmother, but I'll be back. Oh--and I just heard they opened a new spot inside Brewjeria in Pico Rivera? BET.... I'm already plotting my next "accidental" coffee run.

A little disappointed with my first experience. I love the seasons and LOVE seasonal drink and I was hoping to try their Strawberries and SCREAM shake because it mentioned "gummy " ... "GUMMY" eyeballs.. it did not have the gummy eyeballs I got 1 single tiny and hard eyeball.. it was really upsetting and very misleading ): I would not return because I am a little hesitant to be mislead again. The customer service was sky rocket awesome and they were very sweet and welcoming. I am just very disappointed with the misleading description

Very cute. We'll run, well appointed. Efficient coffee shop. But my rating in coffee shops is based on one thing only: the taste of the coffee. I would say my cappuccino was made well, but the taste of the coffee was just below my expectations, but you should slather give it a try!

So, I've been looking for a coffee spot for my daily pick-up and I think I just found my spot! Nataly is a super star! She was super friendly and helpful and really attentive. Not that many coffee spots ask, "what is your name" and "how is your day going". Well Nataly asked BOTH. To top it off I ordered Mobar's Horchata Latte with Oatmilk and it was delicious.

Hi, is the El Sereno location open again?

Hi, we unfortunately had to close the El Sereno location for good. We are now open at the Shops at Montebello located at 2104 Montebello Town Center Montebello, CA 90640. Hours are 10am - 8pm everyday!

Are they closed in Sundays now?

No, they are open on Sundays, with shortened hours, I know they open at 7:00 on Sundays, I believe they close early, like 12:00 noon.

I always order the matcha with 1.5 scoops of matcha, vanilla syrup, and light ice, and it's consistently perfect every single time, rich, smooth, not watered down, and clearly made with quality matcha. You can actually taste it, which sadly isn't a given these days. My boyfriend's go-to is the vanilla cold brew with a splash of whole milk, and it never misses. Smooth, balanced, not overly sweet, just really well done. Beyond the drinks, the vibe is what really sets Roam & Brew apart. It's always busy for a reason. Friendly staff, welcoming energy, and a place that genuinely feels like it was built for the community. You never feel rushed or like just another order. Consistency, quality, and care are everything in a coffee shop, and Roam & Brew nailed all three. It's obvious how much thought goes into what they serve and how they show up for customers. Montebello is lucky to have had this spot, and it's a huge loss to see them go. If you're reading this and still have a chance to visit, do it. This place truly deserved the love it got

I have also enjoyed the Cloudy, which has subtle notes of red date and pear with a cream top. The drink was nicely balanced and not too sweet. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their coffee drinks, which have strong coffee notes. I also love their coffee cakes, which tend to sell out pretty quickly by midday. The cake is rich and moist with a nice cinnamon-sugar top and pairs nicely with coffee. They have plenty of parking in the back lot. Definitely check them out if you're in the area!

I was in the area on a weekday and decided to stop by before work to grab a coffee. I went at around 8:30 AM and it was busy with many folks doing work. After looking at the menu, I had a hard time trying to figure out what to get given the selection! I asked for a recommendation between drinks and they mentioned if I want a hot drink - Miso White would be good; for a cold drink - Lychee Tonic would be ideal. It was a hotter day, so I opted for the Lychee Tonic. Since it was busy, the wait was ~ 10 minutes for the drink. After giving it a try, it tasted refreshing but I didn't really get the lychee taste. Not the best first impression with the tonic. However, I'd still consider coming back considering their ambience. Also absolutely interested to try their pour over options! Parking is available in the back of the building. American Express is accepted here.

It's a wonderful spot to study as long as you get there early. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting, and the drinks are consistently made fresh and served piping hot. There's also a solid variety of food options to choose from. I've had the chance to try a few items: the Dubai chocolate mochi (4/5), the breakfast burrito (4/5), and the breakfast sliders (5/5). The sliders are especially good--kind of like a stacked sandwich with egg, sauces, and jam that all come together really well. My go-to drink is the Bori Cano, which is my current seasonal favorite. It's a unique mix w cream top over an Americano, with barley tea on the bottom. It's perfect for keeping me going during long study sessions. I'm really glad to have a place like this in Monterey Park where I can settle in and get work done. Both were great compliments to each other - more perfectly sweet and the other a bit more herbal. The chocolate chip cookie was perfect - nice crunchy edges and slightly gooey soft inside. The ube tres leches was a little disappointing as there wasn't any tres leches cake at the bottom, just crumbly graham crackers resting below exquisite ube mousse. While I waited for my drink, o noted they have a book library at this location so it was pretty cool to have something for the community to engage in. I was a first timer and ordered the hibiscus tea with aloe Vera. The drink was good but tasted a bit artificial and didn't really taste much of the hibiscus. It didn't taste like tea, rather water, flavoring and sweetener with a sprinkle of tea leaves to give the impression it was tea...While it was "tea" it would have been better to maybe have a tea bag or poured ""steeped tea" instead of loose leaf teas because the straw was so big, I kept getting leaves stuck in the back of my throat. It was sweet and refreshing to have but it wasn't nothing to rave about. When I did more research on the sweetener I was told they use artificial sweetener versus agave or honey.
