I was super impressed with this hotel for the price. I'm not picky when it comes to hotels, I just want to pay the lowest price possible and avoid bedbugs. We booked a room at the Moab Valley Inn online a few hours before we got to town and it was perfect - the room was super clean, very modern decor, check in was easy and the staff was nice, breakfast in the morning was pretty standard, it was easy to find and super close to Arches. I'd certainly stay again if I'm ever back in the area. read more

We requested a quiet, quiet, quiet room and were pleasantly surprised with Room #362. Third floor, facing away from main road and swimming pool. Breakfast was adequate, nothing fancy. We went all through Utah. Found Moab was great. Valley inn was clean didn't stink. Nice rooms and staff. Glad we had the pressure to be a guest. Pool did need a good painting. I thought this hotel was ok for the price we paid. It did look newer on their website when I booked. We stayed 3 nights. I didn't love the breakfast options. My kids were ok with the pool but said they wished it had a bigger 5ft area. I was kind of bugged that our bathroom sink drained extremely slow. I should have informed the front desk but didn't want to bother with it. It wasn't until we got home that my husband informed me that on the 2nd night there he killed big cockroach. He knows that I sincerely HATE cockroaches so he didn't tell me because he knew I would refuse to sleep there. So thank you Moan Valley Inn for giving me that much more work and worry about cockroaches after my vacation! read more

Decided to take advantage of the lower winter prices in Moab and try a different hotel. Unfortunately, we didn't have the wow experience of our usual go-to (comparably priced) hotel. It's a bit more dated than the website would lead you to believe and everything in our room was very loud...the bathroom vent, the heater, the toilet. The bed was very nice and firm the way we like them though. The breakfast was very much a continental offering muffins, waffles, yogurts, sausage links. Overall, it was fine for the price. A good deal even. The only thing that I could suggest is that they tone down the very fragrant check in area. It was quite overwhelming and got into my clothes almost immediately. read more

We stayed one night the day after Xmas and it was a good experience. The price was good $59 plus tax. The room was large, clean and bed comfy. The heater is the wall mounted variety that is noisy, but worked fine. Walls are thin so you hear tv in next room and all hallway activity. Breakfast was one of the worse continentals I've had (that includes dozens of motel 6s). All the breakfast items were off brand and very low quality. The cream cheese had the consistency of wall spackling and coffee was like dirty water. Hard boiled eggs and tea were digestible so not a total loss. read more

Convenient location, clean room, clean sheets. Evening staff seemed less than enthused to be there. We chose this location due to offering free breakfast...however, we didn't realize, nor is it posted & of course the staff didn't offer more than necessary to get us out of her lobby, breakfast ends at 9am! That was very annoying. The hot tub & pool were decent & had a nice size patio to sit & relax looking at the scenery of the mountain side. Overall, it's a nice hotel, I'd stay again but You'll need to goto breakfast by 8am if you plan to eat! read more

Update: the manager was extremely apologetic and refunded us for our stay, which we truly appreciate, but it was still an unfortunate experience. At midnight, we were startled by our phone ringing twice. We decided to just try to fall back asleep because we weren't sure if maybe it was an accident. Shortly thereafter, some one from the front desk started pounding on the door, saying they were from the front desk. We opened the door and she tells us that she needs another credit card (because she clearly made a mistake when we checked in as we already gave that same lady a perfectly fine credit card that she swiped when we checked in). We told the woman that we would take care of this at check our in the morning as it's midnight, we are sleeping and are exhausted from our travels. Instead she insisted that we needed to give her a credit card right there at our door for her to take back to the desk and either hold on until check our or slip back under our door, because if not, she might lose her job. Not our problem. We found out from the very nice gentleman at check out that she ran our charge at check in as "cash," despite the fact that we gave her a card and she ran it. Because she made an error on the computer, she decided that it was okay to wake us up in the middle of the night instead of taking responsibility for her mistake and allowing us to resolve any paperwork issues at check out. read more

Rooms spacious and clean. Plenty of outlets for your electronics. Bathroom was spacious. Décor was all relatively recent. It felt like a hotel you'd pay $160 for. Bed was very comfortable and had plenty of pillows for both of us. The breakfast was basic, but filling. There are eggs, cereal, bread/bagels/muffins, waffle makers galore, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee, tea. Enough to get you going. The hotel itself was clean and modern and quiet. We stayed here for 2 nights and the price was fair for what we got. My husband and I slept on a nice King sized bed and the room was clean. WiFi Internet access was working properly for free, and we enjoyed the continental breakfast, which comes with the price of the room. Parking is a short walk. Our room was on the second floor, and it was QUIET. That is so wonderful for tourists to be able to sleep!!! My shower was nice and HOT in the morning, so there is no complaints there. It's a short walk into downtown Moab; which is full of non - chain mom and pop stores and restaurants. Give the Moab Brewery a chance for dinner, which is right across the street from the Moab Inn. Staff at the Inn were kind and helpful. The young man who was working the day that we checked in helped me with good information regarding nearby Arches National Monument, Dead Horse Park, Canyonlands National Park and The Maze. There are so many people in town of all ages and age categories that are living it up hiking, climbing, biking, jogging and river rafting. It's cool to see older folks who are active and wearing hiking boots all day!!! We enjoyed our time at the MOAB INN, and will be back in the future for more day hiking!!! read more

I had a nice stay of 2 night in this place. the pictures look a lot better than the room I actually I stayed in, couldnt complain for the price I paid. It is acceptable. What im complaining is the breakfast - it's a far experience from the best western's free breakfast. Here, everything is Do it urself from ready made or packed stuffs u can buy from grocery store. Why label it as continental when i can get these stuffs from a nearby 7-11? And it was advertised to start at 6am, but in reality doors opened at 7 am. Rating is 3/5 read more

I have been staying here twice a year for the past 3-4 years while visiting Moab. I go down a few times a year with friends to ride my motorcycle on some of the best trails ever created! We have stayed at other places in town, but continue to go back here because they have good size rooms for a pretty good price. If you have a group of 3 or more you can book a triple queen room and honestly you can pack like 10 guys in these rooms as they are super large. We normally draw sticks for who gets the beds and the rest of the guys sleep on cots or mats on the floor. The pool and hot tub are ok. I have been in bigger nicer hot tubs in Moab, but it will do the trick. For the most part the staff has been friendly. Parking is good and there is room for trailers out back most of the time. read more

My experience at this hotel was really good! The hotel is very clean, looks nice, and Aubrey at the front desk was very pleasant and accommodating. The beds are extremely comfortable, I slept great every night. The pool was a great time; it's really long so it's fun to throw a football or something. The continental breakfast is average, nothing special to it. The only major issue I had was the TV. The TV quality was TERRIBLE! It was all pixelated and it looked like Tv quality from decades ago and shouldn't be in a hotel. I also thought the room was a little cramped, as there wasn't much space to move around. Great prices compared to the national chain hotels..they were charging 220 and up per night on June 19 2014. We paid 116 with AARP discount and the room was great and the kids loved the indoor / outdoor pool. Hot tub temperature was excellent and the free breakfast was great!!! I will stay again! read more

Stopped at the Moab Valley Inn for a night on our summer road trip. Our room was clean and the folks at the front desk were friendly, although she wouldn't quote the final price with tax for us. We were adequately warned about the potential for beetles in our room due to the season (but they were not a problem). The pool is indoor/outdoor - but small for the size of this hotel. Continental breakfast was adequate. Coffee was subpar. The Inn was expensive for what it was when compared to other roadside stops, but after driving through Moab and comparing inns with price per night - the Valley Inn seemed like one of the better deals in town. read more

The service was good, considering September is apparently one of Moab's busiest months. Prices were a bit steep but affordable. Rooms were nice, clean, and well-stocked with the necessities (save for oral hygiene). Wifi was pretty disappointing - I couldn't load most pages and eventually resigned to using cellular data. Continental breakfast was okay, though their coffee machine was out-of-service and they had limited options for those of us electing to exclude dairy from our diets. This hotel has thin walls, as evidenced by hearing conversations in one adjacent room and snoring from the other. Carpeting in the room has stains. Showerhead could barely be cleared by a 5'4" person. Cold, uninviting conference room for a breakfast with nearly all carbs. Over-priced. Appears the ownership uses this as a cash cow without investing in the standard set by other hotels in this price range. read more

The only reason this place gets one star is because Yelp doesn't have a zero-star or negative-star category. We stayed at this place for three nights. At best, it's average and way overpriced for what you get. Each day started with a mediocre breakfast in a prison mess hall or what seemed like one. It was actually a section of a conference room separated by moveable walls. Not at all a cheerful way to start each day. But, since we were touring two parks during our stay, the only certain thing we wanted was peace and quiet when we returned for the night. In fact, we even requested this of the management early on. Peace and quiet were marginal the first two nights, but I guess one can sleep through hotel noises if you're tired enough The third (and, mercifully, the last) night was a different story. During late afternoon two gigantic motor coaches pulled up in the parking lot directly under our second-story window. These were the monstrous machines like tour companies use. They looked like they were about 12 feet high. Each coach pulled a very large equipment trailer. Also, there was a huge pickup pulling a third equipment trailer. The coaches had limited windows and were obviously specially-built corporate coaches used for transporting and supporting equipment and crew such as for a portable movie set. After we fell asleep the noise started. They were running at least one really large portable generator and it became obvious this was not going to stop. I called the front desk and told the clerk of the problem. He said he'd check it out and called back in about ten minutes. Then the IDIOCY began. He said that the noise wasn't loud enough to bother anyone. I couldn't figure out how he could say such a stupid thing since we were calling him because it was disturbing to us. He then embarked into a tirade about how offensive noise levels were determined by the Moab City Council and that he unilaterally had determined that the noise level didn't violate any city ordinance, and there wasn't any need to "disturb the group" that had the coaches. What? Am I really hearing such supercilious prattle from someone who is supposedly charged with providing service to paying guests? And how did he measure the noise level with respect to city ordinance? With his ears, said he. Ah, now the light comes on and everything is clear. This place caters to groups, conventions, sales meetings, conferences, and other high-rollers who spend a lot more than a couple of lowly tourists could ever hope to match. Next morning on checkout, I mentioned the incident to a young lady at the front desk, and asked which group it was. She said she didn't know which groups were staying there. Really? You don't know which high-revenue groups are filling your coffers? Eventually, I was approached by a woman who identified herself as a manager. After a brief discussion, she commented that the matter should have been handled differently. That was it! There was no mention of talking to the leader of the group to prevent further disturbing other guests; no mention of any hotel policy that restricted noise; no discussion of how the hotel could resolve the issue; no inquiry about what the hotel could do to achieve (our) customer expectations - - -nothing. Upon returning home, there has been no follow-up contact whatsoever from the hotel. So, that's it folks. If you're part of a big-spending group, you'll find your experience to be a lot better than people like us will find it. Oh, by the way, if you have a pooch, kitty, or whatever, the place has just eliminated its "Pet Friendly" policy. Sorry Fido. So much for a family-friendly retreat. Seriously, there are better, much better places to stay in Moab, especially if you want to be treated respectfully and as a valued customer. DON'T EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE! SPEND YOUR LODGING DOLLARS ELSEWHERE ! read more

I gave this hotel 3 stars. Just because there are no four or five star hotels in Moab or at least there's not many. For the price. This place is newish and modernish. The breakfast was halfway decent considering the price. We had lots of waffles and sausage Etc. The staff was accommodating. And I think for the value this is a nice clean place to stay that is very comfortable. It's easy to get to from the main Highway. We also enjoyed a number of local restaurants with the resources of using the Yelp app. We were very pleased with that. There's an old hamburger joint by the name of milt's. I highly recommend this. The hamburgers were also in the atmosphere is old-timey there was a nice little counter there with bar stools. The staff was very friendly. It looked like they had awesome milkshakes. We had guacamole and jalapenos on my hamburger. We also have the cheesy fries which were excellent at milt's. We also had dinner at Pitfire Smoked Meats which was just a little trailer and it's not even a food vendor truck. The Smoked Meats were absolutely awesome and amazing. read more

Booked a room online, They were advertising $45 a room online, went inside and asked if they would just match that price or if I had to book it online. The incredibly beyond rude front counter guy named Scott said that was online and handicap and the best rate he had was $70 plus tax. So I told him I would go ah ad and book online where he proceeded to tell me I might have to wait an hour for the reservation to come in. So I booked and sat in the lobby talking to my brother and the phone and just waited for the confirmation to come in, after 20 or so minutes he said Davis, I went to check in, and he literally tried feeding me the biggest line of BS, saying the customer who just walked out needed the handicap room, now this is 8pm at night, in the off season. At which point I said you're welcome to get e me a different room at the price I booked and he continued to belittle me and tell me wi h that attitude I could go somewhere else and refused to give me my room. Beware of false price alerts and A whole receptionists. Went 100 yards up to the quality inn where Leslie gladly took care of me. read more

Recently remodeled rooms. Very clean and quiet. Close to most restaurants and hotels. Also very inexpensive for the quality you get.

Stayed here over the UEA weekend the middle of October. Staff was nice at check in. Hotel is very standard what you would expect in a tourist town. The beds were extremely hard and had a hard time sleeping both nights so if you like a very stiff mattresses this hotel is for you. A little overpriced but not quite sure if that was due to the weekend. Would consider staying here again if I had no other option. read more

Very overpriced. We stayed at the Moab Valley Inn in March. We were very unhappy with our stay. The room was more then twice the regular rate due to the Easter Jeep Safari the week before. This is not a hotel we would recommend. Maybe at the regular price we would feel less like we wasted our money. They were replacing some carpet and the hotel had a bad oder, was messy and the installers was rude. We couldn't get to our room because all the hallways were blocked as well as the elevator. The carpet replacement kept us up very late due to the noise. The morning breakfast was less then expected. Not sure if the room was a temporary setup or not. It was very makeshift and had little to offer. The highlight was three types of make your own waffles. Beyond that, it was overpriced for what we got.
