I booked a night at Hyatt Place Moab using 23,000 Hyatt points near Arches National Park. The hotel is large, but the room with two beds and a sofa bed felt too small and narrow for our family of five. Many Hyatt hotels offer bigger rooms with a desk, two beds and a sofa bed, which would have been more comfortable. Friendly staff and complimentary breakfast made the stay convenient. read more

Our stay at Hyatt Place Moab was comfortable overall, with both positives and a few drawbacks. The rooms were spacious enough to fit two large suitcases without feeling cramped, and the bed was very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was a nice perk, offering potatoes, eggs, and a sweet option like waffles or French toast. I only wish they had shredded cheddar cheese available to top the eggs. For pet owners, the hotel does a good job. They have a designated outdoor potty area with turf, bags, and a garbage bin for easy cleanup. That said, they planted thorny bushes around the space, which wasn't ideal--when Luna wandered into them, I got poked trying to pick up after her. Still, I appreciated that the area existed, since not all pet-friendly hotels provide one. The pool area was well-kept, and we enjoyed the hot tub, though there was a constant buzzing noise (likely from the jets) that made it harder to fully relax. I didn't mention it to staff, so I won't hold it against them. One real disappointment was the bar. Compared to the Hyatt Regency in Salt Lake City, this one felt very small and limited. When I asked the bartender for a dessert cocktail suggestion, he flatly replied, "Not much." He didn't offer alternatives, so | just ordered a glass of wine instead. For a Hyatt, I expected a bit more effort and hospitality at the bar. Love this hotel and all of the staff here so much! We were planning a small wedding in the park and wanted to do the reception here. The manager Rachelle was amazing to work with in getting everything booked for the reception as well as getting us booked (and upgraded) for our room! We stayed in one of the casitas and I don't know if I could do a regular room after that. The staff was also so amazing with helping for everything we needed for the event. They also offer free breakfast in the morning. The breakfast is your typical hotel breakfast but surprisingly the coffee is actually really good! A few other things about the hotel: pool and hot tub area is really nice and big with a fireplace. The gym is decent, they have a few treadmills, cable and free weights. Check-in was smooth, and staff was friendly and responsive even though we showed up around 11 PM. 2 Queen bedroom: as always, I liked the mattresses and pillows offered by a Hyatt. The small suite area was clean and allowed ample places for luggage. We didn't partake in the complimentary breakfast so I can't comment on that. Shower pressure was fine. This 4-star rating is purely because of the room and the comfort of my sleep. Cons: the Wi-Fi was awful. If you need to do basically anything, good luck - couldn't even load up a YouTube video. It doesn't help that cell service in that spot is also really bad (I have Verizon, travel mate has T-Mobile, neither was good), so you can't default to cell service to make up for bad Wi-Fi. read more

Entered room with the desk light not working and Tv not working. Apparently all tvs are satellite so you have to follow pamphlet instructions to set it up. Anyway they fixed the light but Tv signal was horrible as it froze every 5 secs no matter what channel I chose. Maintenance came by but could not help. The night before checkout I asked for credit. I came by in the morning, and they were not aware of my issue. I asked for a credit again up to a free night, 50% off, as I would not stay if I knew TV was broken. They(manager) offered me 10% off or 2500 points. That's horrible csr service. I took the 10% or $18 off. I will not stay here again or will recommend. I will be going to Marriott. Be thankful I'm giving you a 3* as you don't treat guests this way. Bed, shower, hot tub all fine, breakfast was mediocre. read more

These days I usually stay in airbnbs for the extra space and use of a kitchen. I had one night in Moab, and my sister used points to book a room. I'd stay here again! It's a very nice hotel. Clean. Great customer service. Beautiful outdoor spaces for relaxing, including the pool and hot tub. The hot tub is large, nice so you don't have to cuddle with strangers. The fitness center looks nice; I wonder how often it's used, being in Moab. There's fruit infused ice water in the lobby, a lovely touch of hospitality. Yesterday it was strawberry; today it's lemon. Breakfast is impressive, as far as a hotel goes anyway. Today there were several fruit options (defrosted mixed berries, canned pineapple, fresh melon medley, whole bananas, oranges, and apples). Vanilla yogurt, granola, oatmeal with lots of topping options, breakfast breads like toast and bagels, scrambled eggs (probably from a carton), boiled eggs, vegan sausage patties, tortillas, breakfast potatoes, a fajita looking mix, cold cereal, juices, various % of cow milk, Tazo teas, coffee, etc. Beds are super comfortable and rooms are spacious. Came here to visit Arches and Canyonlands. I'm Explorist status so I've seen my fair share of Hyatt places and my wife and I enjoyed staying at this one. Parking lot was easily available although this may be because we came in the off season. Breakfast was better than other Hyatt places I've stayed at. The potatoes were always nice and crispy, biscuits and gravy was delicious and I always toasted a bagel with cream cheese before my morning hikes. The thermostat worked really well and the blankets kept us really warm. They have fruit infused water in the front and have a water filter to fill up your water bottles or camelbaks. Dinner was also cheaper than other restaurants in town. If you're a Hyatt member or just planning to visit Moab this is a great hotel. read more

I would only recommend this hotel if all of the amenities are working. The TV in our room was out of service and the pool closed on our first day there. Even though everyone was kind, there didn't seem to be a sense of urgency to fix things. The breakfast was great and lunch was good as well. The location is beautiful and only a few minutes from the main attractions. There is a decent amount of parking. The kiddos have a small jungle gym to play at. I travel extensively, I booked reservations using booking.com, I didn't get to hotel until past 1:30am. My credit card was declined, and with no customer courtesy, no motivation to go above and beyond, help find a solution, or show any empathy, to even use ONE ounce of excelling at their job, anyway to provide assistance. Just pure apathy, that comes from every person I talked to at Hyatt, calling customer service, no help, no motivation, zero care for the customer, I got very angry. Tried a couple more routes to find anyone awake to help, since HYATT APATHETIC WORKERS were useless, I had to sleep in my car. I was using a cane to walk, I recently had a Stroke, and before that Major Spinal Surgery. I was already feeling very ill when I tried to check in,1:30am (credit card declined, tried another card, it was an old one) they would let me use any other means to check in, all my info was there. I called everyplace I could, it was now 2:30am and still when I asked to speak to a supervisor, even though I found they were gone, there was still no effort made by Hyatt and its employee to give me no other option but sleep in my car. I got angry at the utter lack of empathy, from the Hyatt representative, just apathy and the lack of any motivation to help. I left very upset. I appreciate good business, I'm a business owner, I appreciate good customer service, and any resemblance of motivation. I saw nothing from Hyatt from their workers, online, and the NEXT morning. After sleeping in my car, I went back in this morning. My card was finally working, so I needed to lay down in my room I reserved almost a month ago. . . The new Hyatt representative then told me my reservation, had been cancelled. No empathy, not one shred or atom of customer assistance, "tough luck your reservation is cancelled." Oh and he said it was my fault. "It's not Hyatt's fault." And again, not a shred of effort, just laziness. I've been to hotels all over the world, I have to fly for work, and I'm seeing more and more from a lot of hotel chains. The lack of customer service is dying. I LOVE good customer service, if they're friendly, I stay friendly, I they aren't, I'm not, because I'm not being paid by these various hotel chains, to smile and take this... I don't have to be the one the smile at this apathy and say "thank you for letting me sleep in my car", "thank you for canceling my reservation when I come back in the morning from my car. And They at Hyatt and the Hyatt just cancelled my reservations, because they don't care about you. Care for the customer is dead. The Hyatt Hotel corporation, is bush league and their customer service belongs in their septic tank. read more

We pulled up to the Hyatt without a reservation and were very happy to find that they had availability on the Sunday before Thanksgiving! The rooms were nice and clean. Updated and spacious, but not very quiet. We could hear everything going on outside the door. Breakfast was buffet style and pretty good with eggs, sausage, French toast and other things. Their pet fee and policy is a bit wild though. $100 for your dogs and each dog can only weigh 50lbs, or have a combined weight of 75lbs if you have two. read more

Hyatt never disappoints! This hotel was located just a few miles from Arches National Park and it was also near downtown Moab. We get to take advantage of the free breakfast as my boyfriend is a globalist. Breakfast was great and different everything. The hotel had some halloween decorations up which was a thoughtful touch. We spent 3 nights here when visited the Arches National Park and surrounding areas. The hotel in general was clean. The room was so so tho. We stayed on the first floor and could hear the next-door couples having sex. It could be pros for some people but not for us. Sorry, Hyatt, not a fan of this bonus feature. Our room was also next to the public bathroom and could also hear the sound when people were washing their hands at 5am or 6am. The complimentary breakfast buffet is supposed to be a highlight of this place but it's more of a hit-and-miss. The pictures I posted here were from the buffet on a Saturday morning. They served beef tacos. It's good. The quality for the rest of the two days was about the same as what you get from Holiday Inn. Overall, the Hyatt Place chain is like a motel but for the middle class so it's more expensive and upper scale. However, I stayed at other Hatt Place before during my road trip and the stays were pleasant. But the room in this location was too R rated for me. read more

Avoid room 101 at all costs. Despite having other rooms available, we were put in room 101. First, the thermostat would not hold the temperature we set. As the overnight progressed, the temperature kept rising making sleeping very difficult. But the worst part started around 5:00 am. Room 101 is right next to the women's restroom for the lobby. Every toilet flush and paper towel dispensing sounded like it happened in our room. And the door SLAMMED loudly every time it was opened. Hyatt should never put guests in this room. When we went to the front desk to complain, they moved us to one of the many available rooms. Why were we not put in one of those rooms to begin with? We come to Moab every year. But I can safely say we will never stay here again. read more

Our stay here was extended due to my husband being ill. When you are sick you really appreciate a comfortable place to be. There were plenty of areas away from our room for me to hang out, and the staff was great. Alma in particular was helpful on our first night when he was feeling his worst. This hotel is also very germ conscious, there are boxes of tissues and hand sanitizer everywhere. Possibly a holdover from Covid, but it is still needed and important! If you have a bottle of wine, they'll open it for you. Don't forget your ID per Utah law. Only negatives are not convenient to downtown. FYI, they have a shuttle to the restaurant on the hill above the hotel (or walk it), but that restaurant should be avoided. And staff was misinformed about when to line up for your timed ticket for Arches (check NPS Arches website for detailed info on that). AC wasn't working in the fitness center, on a very hot day. Perfect place to stay in Moab! I've stayed here twice, both during off season and it's been great both times. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and everything is very modern and new as the hotel is only a couple years old. hot breakfast buffet included. They have eggs, potatoes, various breads, cereal, yogurt, and even more. Definitely more than your usual continental breakfast. They also have a bike valet which was great. You can get your bike 24/7 while having it locked up! They also had a repair shop for your use. The pool and hot tub were great after a long day of hiking. The pool was open and heated! There was also a nice fire pit in the evening. There is also a small gym. Very small, but had enough to get a good work out in. I loved the cardio equipment. They had the interactive machines that make it look like you are biking/running on a trail. read more

Do not stay in room # 220. There is something in the maintenance room below which emits a loud noise (like a motor) and makes the room vibrate and rattle loudly. It turned on and off every couple minutes all day and night making it difficult to relax and sleep even with earplugs. Around 11:30pm I called the front desk to resolve - the staff member "Colton" said he hadn't heard of the issue and refused to look into it to see if it could be fixed. I then walked down to the lobby to speak with a manager. I found only Colton playing Xbox on his laptop and had to waive for him to stop. Again, Colton refused to check out the noise and after several awkward minutes of trying to get a resolution he said the only thing he could do was offer a 15% discount which is not worth a sleepless night before a long travel day. I walked outside to determine the noise and found it was not coming from anything outside the building. There is a "staff only" maintenance room directly below ours which must be the source of the noise. I'm disappointed in this hotel; it started out great - the bar tender and food staff were amazing, kind and efficient - the drinks and food were great. I wish the rest of the experience had been the same. I understand Colton couldn't call maintenance unless it was an emergency but he should have made an effort to find the source of the noise and attempt to fix if possible or offer a better discount. UPDATE: The next morning we spoke with manager Isaiah who was very kind and apologetic. He offered to credit us 5,000 hyatt points and was the best they could do. This helps but I feel like it should have been more. We spent 10,000 hyatt points plus $95 to get the room so this only covered half the used points. read more

I didn't take my husband's last name when we married. For that reason I have to wait for my husband to physically stand in the lobby with me so I can check into my room. I have a confirmation number, our room was booked in advance. The room is paid. My last name differs from him. That's it! This is UNACCEPTABLE!!! I have to wait until my husband's special event ends to come to the hotel to allow me into the room we've already paid for. Is this normal?? Cute hotel. Beautiful lobby. Very clean rooms. Our sink and tub sparkled lol Standard Hyatt place room. Heavy loud comforters and A.C. but big big pro is that it has the best breakfast. So accommodating and generous. They gave you whatever you wanted. Hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs. Oatmeal in a cup. Sausage and potatoes. All their usual if they still had a buffet but now given in to go containers. So nice of them! They had burritos too. Very appreciative of a hot breakfast where other hotels are only giving granola bars etc The only complaint we have here and we didn't bring it to their attention since we were only staying 2 nights is that the tub doesn't drain well. It happened on 1st night and it's a pet peeve of mine. Feels gross standing in still water even if it's your own. It drained very slow. Otherwise it was a nice stay. Workers were nice. Housekeeping was very busy cleaning every room even though we declined to have them come in. Masks are in effect. Enjoyed our stay. Tons of people here though. We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Arches and Canyonlands. The hotel is situated at the edge of town about 3 miles to Arches and one or so to downtown Moab. Overall a very good, convenient hotel to be in with quite reasonable prices (about $150/night before taxes). Big lobby with plenty of seating. Our two Queen beds room is quite spacious. There's a fridge but no microwave (however there is one in the lobby for shared use). Breakfast is good with hot and cold food options and wide selection of individually packaged drinks of juices, dairy and non dairy milk (breakfast room could feel a bit tight during peak morning hours when the outdoor section is not usable in cold weather). The outdoor heated pool is just long enough to swim a few laps and the hot tub roomy enough to not feel crowded. One thing to note: don't bother upgrading to a "scenic" view room. It's not worth the $5 additional per night cost. Our "scenic" view at the north end (south end is a bit better) is just one of the unremarkable rocky rim across the highway - whereas the non scenic view in the back is similar with the rock face closer. read more

4 stars for the much needed AC room, cooled off pool, bike storage and friendly front desk staff! If you're looking to eat or grab drinks, there are other places to pop by. It just felt super strange when saying hello and how are you, with a response only of "ID". I get it, I'm 42 and look like I'm 20 (totally kidding), but at least some casual convo would be cool! Hubby and I stayed here 3 nights using my Hyatt points April 2021. It's only a short drive to the entrance of Arches National Park so it made for a great stay! Check-in was quick and friendly, for being a Hyatt Discoverist we get two bottles of water a day as well. Our room had 2 queen beds and a small living room with a sofa. They had grab and go breakfast even during Covid! The first 2 mornings, the worker grabbed it for us. However on the last day, we were able to grab the items ourselves I think because there were less people mid-week. Even though the items were the same every morning, it worked out perfectly because it saved us time for trying to find breakfast before our sightseeing. Since we were out all 3 days, we did not use the pool or hot tub. Our room faced the back so we did not hear any road noise, however the AC unit was a bit loud. I did had to turned it off in the middle of the night due to the noise, but then it did get a bit stuffy in the room. If you head south of the hotel it's downtown Moab and there are plenty of eateries to choose from. Overall we had a nice stay, and I would definitely recommend it to family and friends! read more

One of my favorite Hyatt hotels! It's so close to Arches National Park and also many restaurants downtown. The interior is modern and updated and the outside has a unique look that meshes perfectly with the red rocks. The pool is really nice with plenty of comfy seating, although it can get crowded. I don't believe any of the rooms have balconies but they have some balconies that are nice to hang out on. Free breakfast is offered and it's above average, especially the breakfast tacos. From the drop-dead gorgeous architecture of the building, which fits right into the local mountain landscape, to entering the lobby, you won't be disappointed! It looked like something from Paula Deen's kitchen, stove top, Cruest pots, white china, jelly jars. However, the presentation was more tasty than the food. One of the absolute nicest hotels in Moab. New, spacious rooms, big pool and hot tub, cool outdoor fireplace area, nice workout center, a playground, 24-hour Starbucks, computers, printers, TV areas, and complementary breakfast. There's even a "bike repair" room with a bunch of tools for guests to use for free, which is such a unique feature for a hotel! This is a relatively new hotel just outside the main downtown Moab area. It's a great location, just a few minutes outside the main entrance to Arches. We got a good rate through Costco, and I was really glad we stayed here. Like it said, the place is still sparkling and new, our room was really clean. I really like Hyatt Place properties and this place was consistent with out past experiences with Hyatt. Definitely the key here is the hot breakfast they serve. They call it "free", but really it's just included in your rate. Hot breakfast is very high quality and they even serve real silverware and plates. Pancakes, waffles, eggs, and either bacon or sausage were staples on the menu every morning. Service was excellent and they honored our request for no service during our 4 night stay. We'll be back to Moab as we missed a lot of the sights, and will definitely stay here again. read more

This hotel was nice, you could order food and drinks at their bar and I liked that they had a water fill station. The parking is all outside and it gets pretty hot. The pool is nice. It goes from one feet up to 5 feet so it's good for a little ones. This hotel was pretty close to the arches, and most of the restaurants in Moab, which was convenient. Canyonlands are about 30 minutes away. The breakfast is just OK-Some days are better than others. Overall we had a good stay. read more

MANAGEMENT TEAM TRIED TO BREAK INTO MY ROOM USING LOCKPICKING TOOLS WHILE I WAS SLEEPING I booked Hyatt Place Moab for 4 nights. The most ridiculous thing happened on the 2nd day. I came pretty late last night, so I decided to take a nap. I was woke up by a wood-scratching sound. Imagine my shock when I saw someone using that tool to break into my room. I did not dare to open the door. The man on the other side answered he is a housekeeper. I did not believe in him and called the front desk to report that someone was trying to enter my room illegally. They then confirmed that it was part of their routine housekeeping. I asked why they could not use a room key. They answered it was because I signed for a DND (Do Not Disturb) form, and they are not allowed to use room keys. (So they are allowed to use lockpicking tools???) I am shocked by their saying. The front desk then hung up on me. I went downstairs. The female manager admitted she approved this action because they were worried about me. No one answered them two hours ago after knocking at my door. So they directly tried to break into my door without even attempting to call me. I called 911. The policeman came to them first and then to me. According to him, many people came to Moab to suicide, excuses like that. I requested a written report repeatedly, but he did not approve. Later I felt they are obviously friends for years in such a small town. I am a solo Asian traveler. Who knows what kind of crime could happen after they break into my room? Apparently, Hyatt staff can pick your room lock at whatever time without any suspect and police supervision, even if you use a deadbolt. What if I were to be robbed or physically abused while I was asleep? I felt terrified. Guys, Hyatt is unsafe. Runaway before you become the next victim. read more

It was a very nice hotel. The service was great. Front desk was very nice. The hotel itself while new really felt more like a standard hotel. The pool area was a bit underwhelming for an area surrounded by beautiful red rocks. They could have done a lot more in terms of size and design. I will say they did a great job factoring little ones into the pool area with a special kids section. Parking was ample. It was only a short 5 min drive into the main part of town.
