Support the locals. We were able to get a room at the last minute on line. They had an internet special. Check in was easy and staff was nice. They have free continental breakfast but it ends kind of early so make sure to wake up early. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The shower drained slow but that was it. Basic dated motel, no flash, no glitz. We did find our room clean. Bed a bit hard, too light of coverings. ADA room is marginal but workable. Needs a side chair not just a crappy desk chair. I'm honestly not sure how this hotel has so many good reviews. The location is great, but the rooms are not. There was so much hair in the bed sheets of one of the beds that my family and I all slept in the pther bed together. I'm pretty sure they didn't even change the sheets. All of the towels were covered in hair and all smelled like men's cologne. Every employee that I encountered reaked of cigarettes and acted like they could care less if we were there. We stayed two nights and I wish we wouldn't have. For over $200 a night we should at least get clean sheets. I almost forgot about the terrible breakfast. This is a solid choice for a hotel, just on the outskirts of the heart of downtown. The staff is hospitable and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. The rooms are clean and updated. They aren't luxury, but they feel above "budget". The beds are comfy too. It feels like a safe place to stay. I did not use any of the amenities, but the common areas were all very clean as well. The only thing is that you could hear the doors slamming from adjacent rooms and also you could hear the cleaning staff outside of your room when trying to sleep in the morning (7-8 am). There is a ton of parking and it is well-lit. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Where to start???? The room was not all that clean, I've seen worse, but it was not good. Hair on the bedspread, hair in the tub, etc. The rooms are a bit outdated. The breakfast was edible, but that's about all I can say. Now the bad, I'm fairly sure the motel staff provided my personal information to the restaurant next door as they (the restaurant) was trying to pull some shenanigans. If I could 100% prove it, there would be a lawsuit. I would never consider this place to stay again, spend a few more bucks and stay elsewhere for your cleanliness and safety. read more

3.5 stars really. Staff had been excellent, very polite and accommodating. The continental breakfast had been basic. My room was clean and the heated indoor/outdoor pool was also refreshing. Hot tub smelled too much like chlorine/chemicals, so I skipped that. The real issue had been the room noise. When another guest closes a door, it slams and echoes right thru your room. Plus, if someone else uses the water, the pipe-hammering and noise it causes is very disturbing. If you're looking for an inexpensive but still decent place to stay, consider the Moab Valley Inn. The location is good-right on Main Street near lots of restaurants. Parking is easy and free. The indoor/outdoor was perfect for a rainy day. The beds and the rooms are clean. It's an older facility but still charming. The staff is nice and I caught a couple members of the housekeeping staff whistling and singing while they cleaned the rooms. We were disappointed with the breakfast-which was one of the main reasons we stayed here over other locations. The room was so full and the lines to get to the food were so long that we left and found breakfast elsewhere. Overall, it's a good place to stay with basic accommodations. read more

An economical place to stay. Walls are on the thinner side. If you're willing to overlook that then you'll be ok. My wife and I had a room with a king bed. It's roomy enough for one couple. There are the typical amenities: a window AC/Room heater, a small refrigerator and cable TV. They a pool, with a really peculiar placement. A heated pool part indoors, while part of it was outside. The best part of Moab Valley Inn; it's right across from the Moab Brewery of course and 10-12 minutes from Arches National Park! read more

This place was one of the most reasonably priced hotels in the Moab area. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the staff was friendly. They give a AAA discount too. They have a sitting room near the check in/out counter where they have free coffee, tea, and a computer to use. The continental breakfast area was huge - the breakfast was just OK they only had hard boiled eggs - but they did have 4 waffle machines. This place is close to everything downtown too - walking distance to restaurants and grocery stores. I would stay here again next time I am in Moab. read more

The front desk staff was rude! When we checked in last week around 3pm, my pleasant greeting was met by an icy tone from the front desk staff, a man in his 30s. He never said "hi" and his tone and body language made me feel that my arrival was a nuance to him. When I asked for some extra items for the room, at one point he even said that he is here by himself and that "I'm quitting tomorrow because I'm done with people"! Wow! Upon check out, the front desk lady was equally rude. When I asked for a print-out receipt, she even rolled her eyes! I have never seen such service in the hospitality world. Either the staff was treated poorly by the management, or that the management offers such low compensations that only unqualified people work there. The sofa bed in the one bedroom suite was extremely uncomfortable to sleep in due to the over-used spring underneath and the paper thin bedding. I asked for a quiet room, and was placed at the end of a LONG hallway -- "it's away from the highway" the front desk man said to me. However during the night, I was awakened by the sound of traffic from the main road, as well as what sounded like garbage truck at 5am in the morning. The breakfast is at their conference room and it is the most depressing room I've ever seen! read more

We enjoyed our two night stay here while we toured Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. We ate at the Moab Diner a few blocks away, and it was delicious!! It's a neat town with tons to do. Moab Valley Inn was close to everything and we got a really great price during the off season on a king room for only $70. We only stayed one night but for sure would come back. This place was great. A really nice spacious room for two of us and an excellent price. liked that the bathroom/ shower were separate from the sink so that we could each get ready. Yes it's a little older, and the walls are a little thin, but you're not going there to sit in that room all day; you're going there because it's convenient to Arches and Canyonlands. A barbecue restaurant, Mexican restaurant, and Moab Brewery are all right there, and the Main Street shops and restaurants are a short, easy walk. The free breakfast was amazing! They had waffle makers, Bagels, English muffins, hard boiled eggs, cereal, coffee, yogurt, juices, and fresh fruit everyday. The free Wi-Fi was great and the staff were incredibly friendly and said hello with a smile everytime you walk by. If you're lucky, you get to meet May, the beautiful black dog that sometimes comes to work with her human! read more

This is a nice hotel. Friendly staff (thanks again for calling the adventure center to confirm our reservation) and the rooms are clean. We had a double room with two queen size beds, which were good. They have fast free WiFi and a desktop PC you can use. Kids had a lot of fun in the swimming pool. The breakfast is ok, but a little bit boring (no variation, we stayed for three nights) and the breakfast room can be somewhat cozier. (maybe you can use the sliding room dividers to make some compartments). I recommend this hotel if you visit Moab ! :-) Tip: accross the street is the Moab Brewery. The rooms were nice and clean. The shower was also nice. The woman at the front desk when we checked in was a little rude but not enough to care too much. We needed to do laundry because we had been on the road for a few days, we went to the front desk to grab quarters and detergent. Very reasonably priced and they give you AAA discount or a Yelp discount if you check in. Either way you save 10%. When we checked in on 11/20/15 it was $65 for a room with two queen sized beds, refrigerator, in room free coffee, safe, hair dryer and a flat screen tv, though not huge by any means but does the trick. Nothing fancy dancy but the room was nice, beds were comfortable. Bathroom has the toilet and shower/tub in the same room, while the sink is located outside the bathroom. They have a continental breakfast with make your own waffles, hard boiled eggs for a protein fix and some cold cereal, milk and juices. Not bad for a free breakfast! read more

Stayed two nights at this budget friendly, very clean hotel great for families. It's at the end of town so you do have to drive through town which can be busy but we appreciated the quiet room they gave us on the top floor and the picnic areas outside and nice view. We were situated so that we could use the stairs or elevator and park our car near the door there. I really liked how spacious the rooms were including double sinks (outside the bathroom, bonus for us), microwave with stand for storing and preparing food, large fridge, big table, two chairs, extra pillow. We got a great rate, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast for now is grab and go. Grocery store across the street and restaurants nearby. Only downside no freezer in the fridge for our ice packs for the cooler and sometime around 600 a.m. a bunch of trailers started backing up and making noise as they loaded up for a trip. read more

So, to preface this, let's just begin by saying that lodging in Moab is consistently a rip-off over weekends. I got what is considered a "good deal" for a weekend, meaning that my crummy tiny room still came out to well over $100/night. However, I was mildly appalled by what that got me: a room that smelled faintly of cigarette smoke and dirty hotel room, thin walls, questionably clean old linoleum floored bathroom, and a crowded continental breakfast on top of flimsy warped styrofoam plates. (Seriously, styrofoam in a nature-lover's town???) However, that's not to say there weren't some up-sides. My husband and I did sleep pretty well, there was plentiful hot water with good water pressure, and the location is not bad at all. The continental breakfast did offer good sources of protein: yogurt and hard-boiled eggs, which is always good before a day of outdoor exertion. They also have toast, sad-looking pastries, some small oranges, coffee/tea, juice-very-much-from-concentrate, and the piece de resistance- a row of waffle makers. My husband and I also took advantage of the fact that there was always bread, peanut butter, and jam- and made PBJs to go. Perhaps the best part of paying $100+/nt was that we got two of our daily meals for free! read more

Decent enough place; the kicker is the size of the rooms, and the ability to get three beds in one room. You can also rent a suite with adjoining rooms to get a sitting area. If you want spacious and adequate, this place is okay. If you want new and super clean with a great mattress, you are better off sticking to one of the newer chain hotels like the Hampton Inn. The mattresses are foam; to me, that was a let down, as I wanted a comfortable place to lay my head at night. The carpet was clean and in great condition. The complementary breakie was quite minimal, but adequate: toast, eggs, coffee, & juice. You can walk to the Moab Brewery across the street, as well as a grocery store. Each room has a fridge, and ours had a microwave. The whole town is quite walkable, as long as you didn't kill yourself hiking all day :) Take my review with a grain of salt; I am used to staying in high end chains on business travel! read more

We booked a last minute stay at Moab Valley Inn! It's definitely a bang for your buck. Easy check in with the lovely front desk staff, I'm pretty sure her name was Angela, such a sweet woman that really made my stay that much more special. She gets 5 stars. Parking was a bit limited since we came so late. But it was the cheapest hotel we could find in Moab and definitely beats most of the local ones around. The rooms were clean and the complimentary breakfast was pretty good. The pool/hot tub was a big plus as well. read more

Pleasantly surprised by this inn. It is actually more of a hotel and includes things that I did not see listed on the website such as laundry facilities. My one-bed room came with a safe which I did not expect. The bathroom was spotless and countertops matched the tub which also matched the nightstand. The pool was half in indoors and half outdoors, perfect for any weather. The one thing that could have been better was that there was not a chain or hinge lock on top of the door. I would feel comfortable with more than just a deadbolt. read more

The only reason this gets two stars is because the lady at the front desk was nice We were on a cross-country trip from New Jersey to California and stopped here on the way because it was close to the national parks. Location wise this is perfect. However service is horrible. When we got there we were given a room in the keys didn't work. We did not leave it near a cell phone or anything like that because we are aware of that issue since we travel a lot. Couldn't get it went back the lady was nice enough to give us new keys. We went back the door unlocked and somebody in there said hey hey hey this is my room. The guy had no shirt and was eating. Could you imagine if he was indecent? Someone had given our room to somebody else. We are specifically requested two beds because it was my sister and I. Well the lady upfront cost him confirms what his name is and gives us his room. However we asked for a double bed and she said there's no problem will just put them in meeting us in his room. Not cool Wouldn't stay here again. But if this is your best option then I will tell you the rooms are pretty well-maintained they are clean they are comfortable and the breakfast is OK. read more

Very nice hotel! Upgraded rooms, they have refrigerators and microwaves and a great big mirror and sink area outside of the bathroom area. The beds were very comfortable and new, sheets for soft and clean. It was very quiet considering the location. There is a big pool indoor and outdoor, and a big whirlpool/hot tub that was very clean and hot! (Which a lot of them or not). And the location was fabulous! Next to two well known restaurants and down the street from our favorite diner the Moab diner. Staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was huge for such a great price of our hotel room. This hotel was very clean and had good accommodations. My friend stayed here before and recommended it to me. However, this hotel does not have the upper door latches on the doors (it had a lock that would keep outsiders out, but would unlock when the handle was turned), so our toddler was able to open the door and run out of the room. We were anxious the whole time that she would run off if our backs were turned for even a minute. When we asked the front desk about it they seemed indifferent. We also didn't know prior to arriving that the pool was closed for repairs, so we ended up going to the Rec center nearby to swim. It felt inconvenient because we selected this specific hotel because of its indoor/outdoor pool. Overall we were mostly comfortable, but a little disappointed at these shortcomings. We would not stay here again with a toddler as it didn't feel safe or secure. read more

Clean hotel with good prices and good location. We stayed 4 nights March 26 to March 30. We used this as home base for an Arches-Canyonlands visit with two kids (11,12). Breakfast was grab and go, it could have had better offerings, but we managed to make it work. Muffins, cinnamon rolls, cereal, milk, coffee, juice, yogurt, apples and oranges. Kids were super disappointed that the pool was closed. Staff told us it would open the next day twice, but it never did. Hot tub was great, though! We were able to use it each day alone for a 15-30 minute timeframe. Overall, a good experience. I would stay here again. read more

We stayed here with our two small children and we were very pleased. The room had two queen beds with extra room for a crib. And the price was right! The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The continental breakfast was better than I expected, with decent coffee and hard boiled eggs. Our kids loved the pool; as far as I know this place is one of the only hotels in the area that has an indoor/outdoor pool so it's open year-round! The hotel is modern looking, light and spacious. Nice lobby area. The rooms are modern and quiet. The issue I had was that the room was not very clean. There were food crumbs and hair on the floor around the room. I found a candy wrapper behind the bathroom door. I feel like the whole room could have been cleaner. I think management needs to be tough with the cleaning crew and train them better. The other issue was the bed, it was very comfortable but it only had one very thin sheet and one very, very thin blanket. Seemed odd. The free breakfast was just meh. The front desk staff were monotone and not very friendly. Seems like the whole staff of the hotel could do with some better training. read more
