Went on a cross country road trip and chose Moab to be one of our nightly stops since I've heard a lot of great things about this place. Plus the beautiful pictures you see. First of all, I had no idea Moab had a town with a thriving nightlife of shops and restaurants! This hotel sat right at the edge of the main strip so it was nice that you could walk from the hotel into the town without driving. The hotel was dog friendly which was what we needed. Upon checking in we saw other dogs walking around and the front desk staff were also very friendly to our dog. They even have an outdoor pet area. The room itself as well as the hotel were very clean. They had a lot of amenities. Outdoor pool, outdoor cabana area, free hot breakfast with sausage and eggs and fruit amongst other things. I like to eat healthy and appreciate healthy options. The dining room was huge and had a cozy seating area as well. In that are there were also lots of great reading material and brochures and magazines on the local Moab area and Moab outdoor activities. I took a few for our drive and read them which was nice to have for such a long road trip. Behind the hotel is the famous red rock known for the area. Just couldn't get enough of the pretty rock view from our bedroom window. You get a great view of it from the outdoor pool as well. There was plenty of parking! Most hotels have you driving around for a spot. There's a section of parking that is like a huge parking lot for many cars. Well lit. I'd love to come back here and enjoy this hotel and town and outdoor adventures one day. Highly recommend this hotel. Their prices were very affordable as well even with a pet!

The room reeked of pet urine with visible spots of pee on the carpet. Disgusting and shameful for the person who allows their pets to do that to a hotel room as well as the management who rents the room out in that condition. We are hoping to get a refund. If I could give this place a zero I would.

    Towel dirty, hoping it's soap

We won't be staying at a Wingate again. So much was dirty: microwave, bathroom, bed, floor. If we weren't so tired we would have left. It seems they don't really clean between guests. Was very disappointed, looked fine online.

This has been a pretty top-notch travel experience at this location. Pet friendly Breakfast actually includes real eggs Microwave and refrigerator in the room Dining room has several other sitting areas that are comfortable with a nice view of the red rocks behind the hotel, which is what you came here for right? Speaking of rocks, about 15 minutes from arches may be 25 from canyonlands. Great parking area Friendly staff Plenty of towels and decent sized shower and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable with a range of pillows. Why not five stars you ask? Because you can hear people walking around overhead. Can't hear the dogs barking next-door can't really hear the door slamming in the hall, but footsteps overhead was just the only flying the ointment. A very minor one. Highly recommended.

Everything nice, View is VERY nice including the waterfall nearby, but the WiFi is complete TRASH, took me 5 minutes to load into this page!! Other then that, very nice!

We thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated our stay at the Wingate. Being unsure of staying in a hotel during COVID times we were unsure what the experience would bring. When we first pulled up we were the only car in the parking lot and it was quiet and empty. We walked in and were greeted by the awesome staff. They are all abiding by new regulations - wearing masks, shields by checkin, contactless process, and sanitizer located in multiple places. Breakfast is definitely grab and go style and they encourage limited use in the lobby as much as possible. Gym and Pool area are open and again so quiet - we went out to enjoy a few drinks and play cards one night and there was no one in sight. The hotel is only a 9 months old, it can't get much cleaner than that. We felt completely safe staying here and taken care of. It's off the main strip a bit but close enough to drive or walk to other places. We highly recommend staying here and would again if we come back to Moab.

I was given an option of where I would like my room when I checked in. I was told the side with the view is louder because it's closer to the highway but I'm not a light sleeper so I opted for a room with a view. The room had a microwave, fridge, full length mirror, TV, travel sized toiletries, heat/AC.. Sanitizer is readily available throughout the hotel. Limiting the number of people on the elevator and not having any housekeeping for the duration of the stay were some covid precautions made. Complimentary breakfast was offered every morning on the first floor with hot foods, a waffle maker, cereal, fruit, bread, apple or orange juice, coffee, tea.. There were TVs and plenty of seating options in that common area. There was also an outdoor pool that I did not use.. I overheard laundry is on the second floor. I just utilized the room and grabbed toast or fruit for breakfast. In the room where breakfast is served, beverages stayed available throughout the day and evening.. at least water, coffee, and tea. I didn't try the juice dispenser.. but that was a nice amenity even though your room does have a coffee maker. I stopped to make tea and refill my water bottle on my way back to my room and on my way out of the hotel, I never had to use my room's coffee maker. Free parking. They do ask for vehicle information when you check in.. depending on traffic, it's 10 minutes from Arches National Park and maybe 25 from Canyonlands and Dead Horse. Not really a property to walk around. You'll want to stay closer to the downtown area for that.

The staff was super friendly (as I've experienced with most BWs) and we felt very comfortable and safe. Didn't love the tile flooring, but figured thats due to the sandy location. I would 100% recommend staying here....however my lesson learned/PRO TIP moving forward in booking any hotel is to ask for a non connecting room and/or to not be next to anyone. We had a connecting room with a dude, let's call him "Ralph," who came in REAL hot around 1030 PM amd proceeded to spend the next hour moaning right next to our door. We didn't know if he was having sex or pooping until he began to violently throw up. We tried to drown it out with the AC, but ended up calling the front desk to switch rooms. They were so accommodating and even tried to check on Ralph (lesson learned drinking and dehydration is a real thing). Moral of this short blib- walls are thin and I am a light sleeper. The hotel handled the situation perfectly... but from now on I will be requesting to be tucked away in a solo room away from the wild ones :)

The breakfast was a hive of activity with staff that refreshed supplies as they dwindled, helped to tidy tables and made every guest feel welcome. Things to note: There is a large patio outside the breakfast area that is open to guests any time of the day. This space is a great spot to eat breakfast, watch the sun come up, to check out the constant parade of 4WD vechicles that come though town, to people watch, and to socialize at the end of the day; This location is perfect for walking just about anywhere in town; Numerous restaurants were a block or two away; Free parking at the hotel was plentiful; The pool and hot tub were wonderfully relaxing and were in a private outdoor space with some tables/chairs that were either under a roof or umbrellas that provided shade; A locked bike room was available; The coin guest laundry room was very nice to have on-site; The entire hotel was very clean and well lit. Will I stay here again? Most certainly. This area has so many places to explore. I can't wait to go back, and now I know of a great place to call my home-base.

People could easily see into the room which led to blinds being closed most of the stay and artificial lighting. Tv had some apps which was nice and hook ups to watch our own media. The restaurant serves a breakfast buffet and a regular menu for breakfast. We didn't eat there but it looked fancy. I liked the fireplace in the lobby area and they have baggage carts for use. Everything was fine except the sink is nice to look at design wise but they installed the faucet too close to one edge. Between that and the higher rise stopper you can barely wash your hands. That's the design flaw which vexed us. So while it was nice, I liked being able to wash my hands well so I'm not sure I'd recommend it.

The complimentary breakfast was a nice perk, offering potatoes, eggs, and a sweet option like waffles or French toast. I only wish they had shredded cheddar cheese available to top the eggs. For pet owners, the hotel does a good job. They have a designated outdoor potty area with turf, bags, and a garbage bin for easy cleanup. That said, they planted thorny bushes around the space, which wasn't ideal--when Luna wandered into them, I got poked trying to pick up after her. Still, I appreciated that the area existed, since not all pet-friendly hotels provide one. The pool area was well-kept, and we enjoyed the hot tub, though there was a constant buzzing noise (likely from the jets) that made it harder to fully relax. I didn't mention it to staff, so I won't hold it against them. One real disappointment was the bar. Compared to the Hyatt Regency in Salt Lake City, this one felt very small and limited. When I asked the bartender for a dessert cocktail suggestion, he flatly replied, "Not much." He didn't offer alternatives, so | just ordered a glass of wine instead. For a Hyatt, I expected a bit more effort and hospitality at the bar. Lastly, my only tech frustration was with the Wi-Fi--it wouldn't auto-connect, which was a small but annoying inconvenience.
