Best Western Plus Canyonlands Inn - Exterior

Overall good experience minus the one MAJOR thing that was out of their control. The hotel is big,…read morein newer condition than most BWs, bfast was great, location is PERFECT for Canyons, Arches, and the cute downtown. The staff was super friendly (as I've experienced with most BWs) and we felt very comfortable and safe. Didn't love the tile flooring, but figured thats due to the sandy location. I would 100% recommend staying here....however my lesson learned/PRO TIP moving forward in booking any hotel is to ask for a non connecting room and/or to not be next to anyone. We had a connecting room with a dude, let's call him "Ralph," who came in REAL hot around 1030 PM amd proceeded to spend the next hour moaning right next to our door. We didn't know if he was having sex or pooping until he began to violently throw up. We tried to drown it out with the AC, but ended up calling the front desk to switch rooms. They were so accommodating and even tried to check on Ralph (lesson learned drinking and dehydration is a real thing). Moral of this short blib- walls are thin and I am a light sleeper. The hotel handled the situation perfectly... but from now on I will be requesting to be tucked away in a solo room away from the wild ones :)

Our room was spacious with a sitting area that included a comfortable sofa, and a chair and ottoman. The staff is incredibly friendly and jumped in to assist with any needs or inquiries. The breakfast was a hive of activity with staff that refreshed supplies as they dwindled, helped to tidy tables and made every guest feel welcome. Things to note: There is a large patio outside the breakfast area that is open to guests any time of the day. This space is a great spot to eat breakfast, watch the sun come up, to check out the constant parade of 4WD vechicles that come though town, to people watch, and to socialize at the end of the day; This location is perfect for walking just about anywhere in town; Numerous restaurants were a block or two away; Free parking at the hotel was plentiful; The pool and hot tub were wonderfully relaxing and were in a private outdoor space with some tables/chairs that were either under a roof or umbrellas that provided shade; A locked bike room was available; The coin guest laundry room was very nice to have on-site; The entire hotel was very clean and well lit. Will I stay here again? Most certainly. This area has so many places to explore. I can't wait to go back, and now I know of a great place to call my home-base.

We usually travel with a pretty large group of 6-7 people. (Yep, 6-7!) So the casitas fit the bill perfectly. There was a nice full size kitchen downstairs, with a pullout bed option in the sitting area. There was a little dining room table as well. Upstairs there were multiple bedrooms with pretty comfortable beds and pillows. The bathrooms were also nice and the showers were powerful which is always a huge plus at any hotel. It also had a really nice pool area with a neat little whirlpool section that the kids really enjoyed. Everything was updated and modern so it was very enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again.

A special pass should be given to Diamond members. Some cars didn't even have a parking pass displayed. The room was average. Noting sumptuous being a boutique hotel version of a Hilton property. No complimentary breakfast or beverages provided. We were on the ground floor and faced the parking lot. People could easily see into the room which led to blinds being closed most of the stay and artificial lighting. Tv had some apps which was nice and hook ups to watch our own media. Water pressure strong with one quirk of water got cold when somewhere someone flushed their toilet. The pool area is large and pretty. Hot tub and towels provided. You can sit and have a drink as well. Ice machine and convenience nook with snacks, toiletries and souvenirs available. Bed was fine. Pillows too soft for me. Bathrobe, hair dryer, iron and lighted makeup mirror provided. The shower was large which I love. The toiletries in pump bottles with a shelf for your own and a stool if you need. The restaurant serves a breakfast buffet and a regular menu for breakfast. We didn't eat there but it looked fancy. I liked the fireplace in the lobby area and they have baggage carts for use. Everything was fine except the sink is nice to look at design wise but they installed the faucet too close to one edge. Between that and the higher rise stopper you can barely wash your hands. That's the design flaw which vexed us. So while it was nice, I liked being able to wash my hands well so I'm not sure I'd recommend it.

Our stay at Hyatt Place Moab was comfortable overall, with both positives and a few drawbacks. The…read morerooms were spacious enough to fit two large suitcases without feeling cramped, and the bed was very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was a nice perk, offering potatoes, eggs, and a sweet option like waffles or French toast. I only wish they had shredded cheddar cheese available to top the eggs. For pet owners, the hotel does a good job. They have a designated outdoor potty area with turf, bags, and a garbage bin for easy cleanup. That said, they planted thorny bushes around the space, which wasn't ideal--when Luna wandered into them, I got poked trying to pick up after her. Still, I appreciated that the area existed, since not all pet-friendly hotels provide one. The pool area was well-kept, and we enjoyed the hot tub, though there was a constant buzzing noise (likely from the jets) that made it harder to fully relax. I didn't mention it to staff, so I won't hold it against them. One real disappointment was the bar. Compared to the Hyatt Regency in Salt Lake City, this one felt very small and limited. When I asked the bartender for a dessert cocktail suggestion, he flatly replied, "Not much." He didn't offer alternatives, so | just ordered a glass of wine instead. For a Hyatt, I expected a bit more effort and hospitality at the bar. Lastly, my only tech frustration was with the Wi-Fi--it wouldn't auto-connect, which was a small but annoying inconvenience.

The manager Rachelle was amazing to work with in getting everything booked for the reception as well as getting us booked (and upgraded) for our room! We stayed in one of the casitas and I don't know if I could do a regular room after that. The staff was also so amazing with helping for everything we needed for the event. They also offer free breakfast in the morning. The breakfast is your typical hotel breakfast but surprisingly the coffee is actually really good! A few other things about the hotel: pool and hot tub area is really nice and big with a fireplace. The gym is decent, they have a few treadmills, cable and free weights. Pet friendly as well!

It's a short drive into town, but you will have to find parking in town, etc. The rooms are quite spacious as there is a separate sitting area with a couch, coffee table and desk, and the room is large enough to have two TVs (but you should be watching the same thing since the areas open up to each other). Breakfast in the lobby can be hectic as everybody is rushing to get out to Arches. I appreciate that they try to mix things up so you don't have the same proteins every day. They also have the standard selections: make-your-own waffles, oatmeal, greek yogurt + toppings, eggs, meat protein, breads (English muffins, bagels, slices of bread), peanut butter, jelly, cereals, etc. The hotel can be a bit loud as the pool closes to kids at 10p but is still open for adults until 11p, and our room faced the pool. There are no restaurants on premises but you can order room service from the Springhill Suites. There are other shared services with the Springhill Suites including a shared pool. The location is excellent for Arches - only about a 5 minute drive away.
