Decent service, very friendly, but had to wait an excessive amount of time for our actual meal. Food was average, preparation was horrendous. We order the roasted turkey, New York strip, and French dip. I ordered blue cheese dressing with my dinner salad and the dressing was like water, not sure what was going on there. My roast turkey tasted okay, but the stuffing was cold. I sent it back and they just stuck it in the microwave and returned my plate to me. I guess a fresh, warm plate of food is too much to ask for. My son only ate a quarter of his French dip and said he was full, when I looked at the remaining half of his sandwich, the bread was completely soggy from the beef soaking through, it was mush. I came in around 8:30 pm and found plenty of room at the counte. I ordered the turkey dinner. It was a large satisfying dinner. It came with seasoned corn, stuffing, and turkey smothered with gravey. The turkey was tender and juicy. The corn a bit overlooked, and the gravy and stuffing were both good. Bread and cranberry sauce were also included. This is my second dinner at the moab grill, and as before, I find it un pretentious, pleasant, good, and reasonably priced. Rare for Moab. read more

We ate there after spending the day in Arches. The decor in the restaurant was very cool, with light fixtures made from old bike rims. The burgers were really good, very juicy, with a great balance of flavors. The french fries were house cut with unique dipping sauces. The portions were perfect after spending the day hiking in the heat. They also had ice cream available, although we didn't get any. We were very happy with our meal and the service. read more

The Moab Grill was a great stop. There are not many places open in Moab on a Sunday, and this ended up being the choice for dinner. It is a quaint little place next to a hotel. Not sure if it is tied to the hotel, but parking seemed to be hard to navigate. The staff were very friendly and courteous. I had a T-bone and fries special. The T-bone was well cooked to order and didn't need steak sauce. With my meal, I had a cup of chicken noodle soup. It was delicious (and I am not much of a soup eater) and it could be seen that it was made in house and not from a can. The chicken was pulled apart from grilled chicken and it contained a lot of fresh cut celery. read more

We come to Moab several times a year. Have never eaten here, but sign outside said prime rib. Not til we got in and seated did we find out prime rib is only on the menu Fri., Sat., Sunday. As we walked in we had just seen the menu on line and we were expecting certain items. We the saw on the table the items we wanted. They then said no that's the old menu. (They should take the menu off the table then & off the internet), so we tried the place anyway, my wife's raspberry lemonade came out horrible. Service 1/5 Food 3/5 I came here with my parents. The service was terrible. There were only two other tables besides ours and yet we all had empty drinks for 23 minutes before they were refilled. I was very disappointed in the food when it finally arrived after over 30 minutes of waiting. I ordered the pot roast, which was alright. But the side mashed potatoes and gravy tasted worse than school lunch potatoes. The side vegetables were also less than pleasing. I would rate the dish a 1/5. My father ordered the shrimp basket and rated it a 3/5. My mother ordered the steak salad and rated it a 5/5, she loved it. However in times that the world is taking extra cleanliness precautions, The Moab Grill through all of this pandemic totally disregarded any thought of cleanliness out the window! With one wipe on our table with a disinfectant cloth, it turned up totally black. See attached pic. It was disgusting, and we should have walked out then and there. If the tables are that bad, how bad is the kitchen? Yet, in poor judgement we thought we would give them a chance? They were very hospitable... points on that aspect of our visit. This place was alright. Their French fries were tasty. I think they make their own bread products, the lack of color to the bread was not appealing. I had a grilled turkey burger, it was not flavorful and juicy like other turkey burgers I've had. Plus the bun was HUGE! I had a lot of bun a toppings left. The food is disgusting. Avoid at all costs. We ate here with a party of 7 and everyone was disappointed with their meal. Specifically, the pastrami sandwich was foul. It was soaked in grease and the meat was loaded with fat. I gnawed on the meat for minutes and was still unable to consume it. The fries were soggy. The service was horrendous. We waited 10 minutes before being asked for beverage orders. Our waiter was slow and unfriendly. Save yourself the time and money and go the the McDonalds right down the street. read more

Less than impressed. They were busy I'll give them that, but we shouldn't have to ask to be waited on. We received our food, which wasn't anything extraordinary, and asked the waitress for extra gravy and orange juice. We watched her continue to serve other tables. Stopped in Moab for the night. Decided to give this restaurant a try. After being seated we waited about 15 minutes before being heated by our server. We put on our order and got our soup. A few minutes after the server cleared those dishes, she came back and told us she forgot to put our entree order into the kitchen. The server offered to comp our 2 sodas to make up for it. No offer for dessert or anything like that. So we waited another 25 minutes for our food. I got the pot roast and it was okay. I asked for no corn, but they decided to give it to me anyway and not give me the mashed potatoes I asked for. My daughter got a steak. It was full of fat and grisel. She couldn't eat more than a few bits. My wife ordered the chicken fried steak, which was actually good and the only reason this isn't a 1 star review. After we finished, we got our check and nothing was comped. The server was rushed and short with us the entire night. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. The menu is easy overpriced and there are better places to spend your money. read more

MUST TRY!! I honestly could not be happier with my meal here. I got fried chicken and can't think of a single place I've ever had better. It was AMAZING!! My husband got the roasted turkey and it was AMAZING too! We tried a little of each other's and agreed we would have been happy with either plate. It was all so good! My wife gave me a look of "what about me;" no drink order taken from my wife. I asked the waitress if they had fresh avocado I could get on the side with my omelette. Waitress didn't know. Omelette arrived without avocado. Had to ask, "so no avocado?" Got a curt "no." Got the impression she forgot to ask and didn't want to be bothered at this point. Omelette was greasy; wife's scrambled eggs were greasy. The "locals" in the corner booth seemed to get excellent service and attention. So, unless you're willing to move here and become part of the "in" crowd, you're probably better off at Dennys. read more

Giving this place 2 stars and that is probably a little generous. I had the wild salmon with veggies, fries, extra grilled shrimp and corn chowder. The soup was good, the salmon was just Ok, not much flavor or seasoning. They forgot the grilled onions that came with the meal but did bring them out later. The grilled shrimp was completely disappointing. Did not taste fresh at all. The fries were seriously worthless like they were made at lunch, over cooked and left out for dinner. Waitress was ok. I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. We had aan event out there last week called Gone Moab. We had them cater 2 of our events, and it was perfect. The food is amazing, and the service impeccable. They even made me a special dish for my gluten allergy. It was so nice it made my eyes water. I wanted to order prime rib but thought the price was too high. I've learned that it's hit or miss with prime rib and steaks here. I wasn't willing to take a chance with almost $30 that the prime rib wouldn't be a miss. Instead, I ordered chicken fried beef steak, something I'd had in the past and enjoyed. Unfortunately, the chicken fried beef steak tasted soggy... not greasy but soggy. The mashed potatoes were OK. And may I suggest that if a garnish is placed on the plate it be edible or at least appealing to the eye. If it's about presentation the garnish shouldn't look as if it's been sitting around for a week. In addition to my dissatisfaction with the meal, I sat at the counter for approximately ten minutes before being acknowledged. The service and food has gone down since this establishment re-opened as the Moab Grill. read more
