Was not sure what to expect and didn't think it looked that exciting from the outside but it was really cool. They had a 3D 10 minute movie that explained the beginning of the earth through the start of dinosaurs that I found extremely insightful. They had a little trail showing realistic and life size replicas of dinosaurs ending in the T-Rex. They have areas you can take photos with lots of dinosaurs. The only thing is I feel like it is more expensive than it is should be $22 for an adult for the inside and outside area but the inside area is small and doesn't have as much information as the outside. read more

This place has a cafe inside of it. It is counter service. And spoiler alert the food is good...but you need to have time. The wait was about 30 minutes and it was not busy only two other orders ahead of us both for two people. The employees were young, seemed to not like their jobs, we're not cheerful in anyway. Also no clear sign of a manager. But they weren't sitting around. They kept busy Just maybe not focusing on the right things. (Example waiting on orders and they were restocking shelves. When the food came it was great! The item picture hear was a caprese sandwich. Fresh arugula, mozzarella, tomato and pesto. For $8.99. A great value in such a touristy place. Hubby's sandwich came with HOMEMADE potato chips. This place is missing the make however. I asked for a sandwich wrap and bag to take the leftovers (I was thinking ...eat as a picnic later in the park. ) The employee just looked at me. I repeated again. Can I please have a sandwich wrapper and bag for my left over. She rolls her eyes a bit leaves and comes back with a wrapper. Can I have a bag too? We don't have bags. You don't have bags? But you asked if we wanted order for here or to go. Answer: shrug, we don't have bags and walks away. This business can make a killing selling picnic lunches. I was not impressed with the customer service or the lack of informations providers. They advertise as an aquatic center with a museum with dinosaurs tracks. We walked in it was a play park for kids a small walk around "museum " and an outside walk with dinosaurs replicas (that are very cool) with plastic dinosaurs tracks on a plaque with info about each dinosaurs. The aquarium was NOT as advertised it was a 5D MOVIE. I paid $64 for my family to be disappointed. When I confronted to grunt desk I was told "we tried our best" with a market smirk on his fase. The cafe was closed when they told us it would be open for another two hours.... I wasn't happy. Will not be referring anyone. read more

I came here right when they opened on Mother's Day and loved that we were the only ones there. We didn't do any of the movies but checked out the museums and played the games inside, and the playground was fun too. Did a little digging for fossils but it's hot in Moab so even though that area was shaded we didn't stay long. The whole park took my daughter and I an hour. For $16 (kids 3 and under are free and an adult basic pass was $16) it was worth doing something different like this and we enjoyed ourselves. Plus my daughter ran or walked the whole way so it was a great energy burner. Although they have cute Dino carts you can use for small kids that won't make the walk. This is something you only do once but I'm glad we did! Great fun for kids and inexpensive. I love that you can climb some of the dinosaurs and get lots of photos. read more

The biggest complaint here is the price. This is not a big place and not a ton to do, but it cost nearly $100 for my whole family. The outdoor portion is ok and the dinosaur replicas are supposedly life sized which is fun, but the real fun in that is taking fun pictures or seeing a small kid in love with dinosaurs getting excited trying to touch one. You can get close and touch a number of them, but they ask you don't climb on them. The indoor portion is kind of fun, but way overpriced. The 5D virtual tour was fun and different and probably the best part of the indoor section. The museum is small but interesting and they have a few bone replicas in there that they also overlay some augmented reality kiosks on which is kind of fun. They also have a type of video game you can play in the museum which kept the kids busy for a long time while we waited for the next showtime. But this only worked out because there was almost no one there that day. If it had been busy at all, it would have been rude to hog the game and our kids would have been done with the museum in around 10 min. Skip the movie. Its super, super, boring and has a few points where I question the science. The 3d video effects are also broken so it doesn't look right and gave one person I was with a bit of a headache so they had to take the glasses off and lost the effect even more. My kids' favorite part was actually the park, but it wasn't that big and I'm sure you can find a lot of free parks at other places that are just as good or better. The second best part for the kids was a place outdoors where they have buried some bone casts and the kids can pretend to be discovering bones and digging them up. Honestly for me it wasn't worth the trip but some of my extended family hate hiking so this was the only thing their kids really wanted to do. However, if you're a kid that loves dinosaurs they'll love it. And if you're not paying you may enjoy it too. Now, the cafe is a different story. That place was fantastic and I would go there again just for the food without going to the museum. I saw a lot of other people eating there too that didn't go to the museum. It really deserves its own page on Yelp, but I can't seem to find one. read more

This museum, or attraction, has a lot of potential. There is much to be added here. The equipment is very new and updated and there's quite a bit for kids to play and see. However, it's overpriced. We paid over $130 for our (5 guest) 15 minutes. There's an outdoor walk, and "aquarium" with AR aquatic dinosaurs. The museum has just a few things to see, but some interactive features. We didn't see the theater. Maybe it'll grow in time, but for now it's overpriced for what it is. read more

We are an adult married couple with no children, and bought tickets not knowing what to expect. And we got a good laugh out of the entire experience. Dinosaur statues on a nice trail beneath red rock . . . and a herd of cows wandering through the exhibit. Ultimately, it's on par with any children's dinosaur exhibit, with a single exception: the paleo aquarium. Maybe we're kids at heart, but we both LOVED the aquarium - a virtual experience where you come face to face with extinct sea creatures. There is a very intense encounter with a megalodon, and parents should be warned that a number of children were quite scared by the experience, but the docent was very kind by allowing kids to leave before the experience started, at warning kids what to expect once the attraction was in progress, and reminding everyone that it was make-believe. Worth considering if you have small children who could be easily scared. I'd suggest the experience for kids age 8 and under, but in honesty, my husband and I had a great time. read more

So fun! We went for over 2 hours and could have stayed longer. Our 5 and 3 year olds loved it and my husband and I did too. Museum, virtual reality aquarium, short movie about dinosaurs, and the best part, the dinosaur trail. We walked along the trail learning and seeing life size dinosaurs and digging for bones. Really interesting and fun! The staff was fantastic! The man at the front desk helped us get into the movie because we were a few minutes late and missed it and then gave my daughters a shark tooth as we walked out since the gift shop was closed. My wife and I stopped here on our way to Arches National Park. There's something about this area that makes dinosaurs fit right in with the landscape and Moab Giants provides some good ones. We just had time for the walk around tour and to grab some lunch, both were great. It's a shame, trying to take pictures of dinosaurs with power-lines in the background but with a little planning, you can cut most of those out. Well worth the visit if you are in the area. You can't miss it if you take the exit to Canyonlands National Park. read more

This is a very cool place if your kid is obsessed with dinosaurs. It was 70$ for 2 adults and a kid which I feel like is a little pricy considering the size and the amount of things to do. We paid for the trail, movie and 3d aquarium. The Aquarium was cool but the movie is a little disappointing. The cafe only had two staff members so it took 45 mins to get our food but it was good and not over priced. The dinosaurs are in surprisingly good condition for the amount of heat and Sun exposure they get. I do wish the signs showed you how to pronounce the Dino names but it was cool that they have the dinosaurs that would be native to the area. They Also have a nice play ground and my daughter loved the dig sight. If we were to come again I would only pay for the dinosaur trail and bring a lunch. We came in November when there was a high of 65 I would not come in the summer when it's 115 degrees outside. There is not a lot of shade available. read more

My husband, sons (3, 7) and I had this place listed as one of our planned stops on our dinosaur-themed road trip. The website caught my attention as it featured a 5D aquarium experience, a museum, a dinosaur trail and a cafe. Upon arriving, I was surprised to see that this place was smaller than I anticipated. ---Dinosaur trail: The dinosaur trail was the first thing we did as it was already pretty warm out and quickly on the way to hot. It featured life-size dinosaurs from different time periods and had information about each dinosaur posted. My boys enjoyed this part the most, as did I. It ended up being what took up most of our time. We were able to borrow one of the dino-shaped carts (no charge but first come, first serve) to pull our youngest in throughout the whole trail. ---5D aquarium: We then went into the 5D aquarium which I was really looking forward to. It ended up being a guided tour that only lasted about 15 minutes. The adults seem to enjoy it but many of the kids in the group we were sent in with were frightened and asked to leave. Yes, everyone joining the tour was crammed into a small room where an explanation of the rules was given prior to the tour starting and then had to follow each other through a dark room to view the animals while wearing special glasses. Seeing the animals was cool; being crammed into a tiny, dark place with a large group of people I don't know...not so cool. ---Lunch at the cafe: the floor was sticky, the food was okay and the wait to get your order was a bit long. ---Museum: The museum was small but had some interesting exhibits; some which were interactive. We spent about 2 hours here. We didn't get to see the 3D exhibit so I cannot speak on that. Overall, it was a nice stop that entertained the kids who LOVE dinosaurs. They really enjoyed this whole place, especially the dinosaur trail, and that was the whole point of our road trip. read more

Definitely overpriced for what it is. You have to pay extra for the "full experience " (3D video and 5D experience), which is really the only interesting parts of the park. The giant dinosaurs are fun to see but the path you walk on to see them is mostly unshaded so plan accordingly. Moab is a dry desert so of course it's going to be hot, more shade would have been nice. There are a couple misters to help cool you down. The "dig sites" (aka sandboxes) are shaded and the kids enjoyed playing in them. If you're trying to kill an hour or two and have extra money to spend, this may be right for your family but for us it was a definite one timer. read more

My 3 year old did like seeing the Dino's and especially the Dino dig, but in the museum he wouldn't stop saying "what's with all this junk?" out of the mouth of babes. The restaurant food was terrible. Burnt to black burger, very over cooked chicken nuggets for the kids, and undercooked house chips. Worst tourist trap in Moab. Visited 6 years ago when first open. Since then the park has degraded to nothing more than a highway rest-stop and tourist trap. Dinosaur statues, once bright and beautiful have sun-bleached to a uniform dull grey. All signage is sun bleached and unreadable. Park is dirty, over grown. Huge cracks in the walls of the museum. $80 for family of five plus $60-$70 to feed them if you can wait 45 minutes for food delivery. Go if you must. read more

While wrapping up a whirlwind family road trip, we stopped in at Moab Giants to let the kids explore what ended up being a very nice little dinosaur theme park. Yes, there is an admission charge, but they have plenty of things to do there (virtual aquarium, museum, theater, outdoor dino walk, playground). Yes, it was hovering around 100 degrees at the time of our visit, but we motored through all the attractions and it wasn't bad at all (there are misting stations along the outdoor dinosaur walk). Everything is very interactive for kids. We also ate in their cafe and while the speed of service could use a little improvement, the food was definitely above par for what one would expect at a place like this. We also bought some things in the gift shop, so we got the full experience here. Their employees were all friendly as well. We love patronizing little, independent places like this wherever we can, and we highly recommend Moab Giants. I hope this place does well. read more

This park is a spectacular find! Purchase the outside and indoor pass for $22, to experience the park in all its glory. The museum is a little lackluster, however, there is a great video on how dinosuar footprints are made inside. Second best to the outside park is the 3D aquarium! Here you will find amazing prehistoric creatures brought to life. The final tank has an exciting end! There is another theater that is quite good, showing the creation and evolution of our planet. The outside park includes a handful of dinosaur species that are perfectly place against beautiful landscape. And it's only 15 minutes from Moab! read more

This was my first trip to Moab and after an agonizing 10 hour drive to get there, myself and our 2 children were so beyond ready to get out of the car! With glazed eyes we awaited signs of civilization . . . And then! Out of no where we spotted dinosaurs. Not sure who was more excited me or the kids, but we both shot up and pointed at the sight of a giant T-REX on the side of the road. Well that was absolutely on our list of must sees while in town. We returned a few days later and opted to just do the outdoor dinosaur park portion. Our kids are 6 and 3 and we weren't sure if the cost of the museum was worth their most likely short attention span. The woman at the ticket counter did tell us we were welcome to come back after walking the park and upgrade our ticket if we chose to go inside. (In the end, we made the right choice as they thought the dinosaurs were awesome, but had little to no interest in the scientific facts about them.) The park as a whole is so well maintained. Everything looked new and clean. The exhibits of the dinosaurs were very informational, but not to the point of feeling like you had no clue what they were talking about (but pretended you did to appear smart in front of your kids). Some of the exhibits allowed you to get up close and personal with the giants, making for some really awesome photo ops. Beyond the dinosaur walk, there were also two excavation sites where kids could dig for "bones", a playground with fun, unique structures to climb on and a rock garden with replicated hieroglyphics which was really kind of cool to explain to our kids. We steered clear of the gift shop and restaurant as that would have just been a can of worms for our kids. Better for them to not even know the option was there, then have to explain why we were not buying anything today. I did think the pricing was a tad steep, however I did feel after walking the park that they are making good use of the money and are maintaining the grounds nicely. I can also appreciate that they give you the option of doing the museums, to help keep the cost lower. On a side note, we happened to come on a day that they were going to be celebrating Halloween with a nighttime party. The park is not normally open in the evening, so it was an extra special offering. We missed this by just a few hours, but there were additional offerings (smores, face painting, etc.) Totally a unique something to do, while sight seeing the Moab area. Especially if you have kids that love themselves a dinosaur. :) read more

The website is misleading. If you buy either of the ticket options online, you're not gonna get access to the 3D movie or the "5D" aquarium. They're gonna try to charge you extra for each of them! Which is hilarious because they are both awful and not worth your time or money. The museum content isn't geared toward children at all. Most of it seems like it's been awkwardly translated from another language. This place is a mediocre playground and a really bad museum rolled into one. Tourist trap. If you really need a playground, there's a great public one right near downtown Moab. read more

This should be a much better attraction-there is a lot of potential. The dinosaur figures are well done and it is enjoyable to walk all around but the signage is poor. Way too much information that is not of interest to the average visitor. The common names of the dinosaurs should be the first priority. The playground is generally good but the slide is a hazard and should be modified-it gets much too HOT. The merchandise in the gift shop was not carefully chosen. ALL dinosaurs should have their common names-most had no information besides "dinosaur". I liked the Dino wagons. The aquarium was well done. We did not go to the movie as we had gone two years ago and it was not of interest to preschoolers. read more

Well done! What a gem in Moab. The exhibits are well thought out and impressive. Every part of the grounds, indoor and out, were clean and neatly maintained. Great artifacts, and so kid-friendly, with wagons for the half mile outdoor walk through the life-sized dinosaur replicas and a good sized playground. We visited in December (on an unseasonably warm Sunday) and lucked out with 20% off ticket prices; the cafe also offered a "Christmas Menu" with many popular options at 50% off. Now that we've gone though, I'd pay full price to do again. We'll plan to spend the better part of the day next time, too! read more

Such a fun place! We took our boys (7 & 3) after spending the week hiking and Jeep riding. It was a nice change of pace. The kids absolutely loved the dinosaur walk. Some of the dinos are off limits, but some you can walk up to and touch, take fun pictures, etc. The fossil dig is a fun set up, too. We were able to sit in the shade while the kids dug for 'fossils'. Next, we went into the aquarium for the interactive tour. So neat!! My 7 year old LOVED this part. The ending was a little scary for the 3 year old, but was a huge hit for my big guy. The museum could have a little more hands-on in there. The price for 3 of us (3 y.o. was free) seemed a little steep for what they offered. Overall, it was very fun and would definitely recommend! read more

Great place to get some energy out of the kids! We went on the dinosaur trail, and the signposts really focus on tracks each kind made. The dinosaurs were awesome and life-like, and to scale. We did the whole day family pass so we could do the 10 min 3D movie basically about the Big Bang theory which was actually done pretty well. The museum we zipped through because the kids wanted to do all the fun stuff outside. It was nicely done and would be a great respite from the heat outside in hotter months here. The playground was really awesome with non-standard playground equipment the kids loved climbing on. We ate at the cafe which was EXCELLENT with the kids. If I could give this a zero I would. This place is a total scam. 1 hour and a half before they closed they only let us do the trail. Which took us 15 min. Could not use the restroom and when I went to the museum to find a restroom the lady came in to get us out. I basically paid 60 bucks for nothing. What a waste of money and of a drive :( read more

Actual hours are 10-6. 7 days a week. Closed major holidays only. Been driving by all week on the way to and from biking. We are camping on this side of town. The boys got burgers..... The girls got salads. Burgers were fresh cooked and juicy ....... Hot crisp fries. Salads were crisp and fresh. Nice building. Nice bathrooms. read more
