I was a little concerned but not overly concerned when I saw the 2.8 rating. Because it's a Starbucks right? How can a Starbucks have a 2.8 rating? Well we needed coffee so we ignored the 2.8 rating. We walked into the city market and immediately realized that a 2.8 rating was generous. There were two CSR's behind the counter and one was making coffee for one other customer and the other CSR was laughing and talking loudly on her phone about something totally unrelated to her duties as a barista behind the counter. We stood there for a few moments before she even recognized us as customers, even though we were obviously standing right in front of the register, waiting to order. She rather coldly took our order and barely acknowledged us during her duties, making the coffee and then as she handed us our drinks she almost had her back to us as she delivered them, but then was walking away as she said something along the lines of have a good day or something like that. Nothing wrong with the coffee. So that gets the usual one star. But the girl who made our coffee doesn't deserve a one star and I'm not being cruel. Customer service is all about customer service. It's not about you the CSR. If you don't like people and if we interrupt you then maybe you need to go find a different job where you don't have to interact with people. The baristas at this Starbucks are phenomenal! They were particularly busy the morning I went, we were passing through from a really long road trip- 4 kids and very little sleep- momma needed coffee. My drink was accidentally made wrong ( I didn't know it yet) but, the barista caught it, ran out to my car apologizing and asked if she could please remake my drink...she remade my drink AND gave the kids hot- co-co AND lemon loaf- I nearly cried- never had such kind service and such integrity shown in the work they do. Truly made my heart feel so loved. They really go above and beyond here. read more

Like how do you make two of the drinks I ordered wrong and then take 43 minutes to remake the drink when there were four people in there and three people be the counter with no drive thru. Got coffee while on vacation before our hiking and the gal didn't add the coffee shot. The drink was oat milk, caramel & vanilla. I can back the same day and Mia was now working. I explained I just wanted a remake to have my coffee for the day and it was cold now after hiking. She began to say there was coffee in it even though it clearly shows there wasn't. I waited a while so she could ask management if she could make me a new one. She sat there laughing with a friend behind the wall and made me wait. Finally she made the tall caramel vanilla latte with oat but did it with regular milk. I am severely lactose intolerant and this lost me the rest of the day hiking and well into the next morning. read more

Why didn't I expand my search and figure out that Moab had a hidden Starbucks inside one of the grocery stores. These women working here (well that's all i saw) worked very hard and deserved tips! It was like an actual oiled machine! You didn't have to wait more than 6 minutes (try that in a big city with 10 starbucks), but I digress. The taste of the coffees were on point and didn't disappoint in the least! You aren't able to order.from app but that's okay, the line went fast and they got the drinks down to a science and it's obvious they take their jobs seriously! Thank goodness. With their very proud indoor sign of being the only Starbucks in Moab proudly displayed, they earned 5 stars! Which as many know me, is every rare for me to give, but when you are from a big city (Chicago) and visiting, the best thing you can find is a well run Starbucks that is so appreciated! To preface-- there was a sign by the front counter that said "barista in training, be patient" or something like that. And mind you, I was very patient. Anyways, I got -- or at least I ordered -- a grande lavender iced latte. When ordering, one of the girls looked very confused and took a second and then said ok. Then she said "wait, the matcha?" And I said, no the latte (with a smile on my face). She then said "yeah so the lavender matcha". And this happened a few times until she looked behind her at the menu and said "oh the third one, ok" (she said this a bit confused and like I was the problem) and in my mind I was like "how do you not know what an iced latte is". In either case, I've worked as a barista for a while and I know I had moments when I first started where I disappeared and had to go look up something in the back on google bc of poor training. So I assumed she was the trainee. Anyways, that's that girl, and that was a little ridiculous because how bad is the training if you are confused that I'm ordering an iced latte. Here's where it gets worse. THE OTHER GIRL who I would assume is the trainer for the trainee, makes the latte. She starts off super slow and eventually tells me "sorry we don't get this often, just had to look at something". Once again, I'm confused bc yes it's seasonal but like, it's an iced latte it's not that difficult. Here's the crazy part, she GETS OUT A BLENDER. THEN BLENDS the milk and flavoring together WITH the ice. She then hands me a cup of frothy blended ice and milk and asks if it's correct. At this point I'm polite and dumbfounded and I was about to take it and go on with my day but she could see how confused I was and asked what was wrong. I said "is there espresso in this?" She says, no but would you like me to add some. I said yes please, I'm sorry. (But like wtf do you mean "add" espresso. It's an iced latte. That's like asking if I want to add dough to my pizza like seriously) anyways, she remakes it with espresso and still blends it with the ice. It was actually so horrid but I just said yes it's fine thank you. BUT THEN before I left, just to save the embarrassment from future customers I said "I don't know if you're training or not, I totally get it, but just so you know an iced latte isn't blended" I really said it in the kindest tone possible but she then responded with an attitude "we do blend some of our lattes so yeah" I had so much second hand embarrassment I just said "oh alright thank you have a good day" after walking around the Kroger in disbelief I eventually realized what she meant. The milk and lavender POWDER needs to be blended lightly to get it to mix. But why the hell she thought the ice too? I don't know. But unless you want a latte (minus the espresso) or maybe a blended latte that still has ice chunks and makes your stomach hurt despite being oatmilk, probably should skip this location. I understand not being trained properly but like bro, how do you even come up with that shit and just think it's correct. read more

Waited over 20 minutes for a drip coffee. Lines blocking the entrance to the supermarket. Employees seemed as if they were trying to emulate the speed of a sloth. They are obviously understaffed and poorly managed. Easy fix, had to leave this review because it was by far the worst Starbucks I have been to, albeit in a shopping center. read more

My drink took a REALLY long time, but that's because Jamie (sp) was the only person working. Not the only person there, but the only one doing anything. That girl in the back (Megan, I think) was on her phone and f'ing off for about 15 minutes while I waited, then she left. There was a line of about 6 customers consistently, and several mobile orders coming through. I hope they're not splitting tips. Super disappointing. read more

I ordered a cold brew at the counter, and the baristas decided to make an entire large mobile order before making my simple drink. THEN made the persons 3 drinks who ordered after me because they knew each other. Then decided to take another mobile order. I never want to come off as rude as I was a barista for many years... but I asked how much longer my one drink would be and the woman replied with "soon. When I'm done with the others." .. as if it was rude of me to ask.. I asked for a refund and she said that it was "almost done." anyway, wound up waiting 20 minutes for a drink that takes 2 minutes max to make. Being a barista isn't a hard job if you do it right. Mobile orders should come second to those in line. If you don't understand the logic behind that then you're in the wrong profession. read more

We had no choice but to visit the only Starbuck's in town...The barista was unfriendly towards me, which at first I didn't care, maybe she was just having a bad day. As I was waiting for my drink, I noticed that her attitude towards the next customer, an elderly white lady, was a 180 degree change from the one she had with me. She was being all friendly and talkative, I guess I'm not white enough for a Karen Head woman to talk to me in a normal manner. In addition, I ordered a grande size drink that obviously was not filled up, because there was at least a 1 inch gap. You can't find a SB near the national parks and this one is not corporate. We needed stuff from the market and popped in to make some purchases and saw this SB from the outside. I picked up 2 SB Utah mugs for $20. I think they were marking them down to get rid of them. There were other mugs, thermos and water containers on sale too. It's like walking into a SB after entering the doorway of Lucky's or Safeway. But, it's still popular because their are long lines in the AM. The counter is particularly small which makes it hard for the sales person to help you if you're buying a lot of stuff. Prices were standard. read more

This was the first Starbucks I came across in a few days running around the back country of Utah they are hard to come by. This location is in the grocery store so there is no seating and it is cramped in there by the entrance/exit. They don't honor the refill at this location saying they are owned by the grocery store and aren't quite the same. I let that go but they certainly lost a star for that. The other star would be lost on customer service since they seemed more interested in talking to one another than taking care of the customers. But I was happy to get my long awaited Oprah Chai even though my order was for extra hot mine was luke warm. If you need your fix it will certainly do fine. read more

So I stood and waited for the two employees to finish talking. Then I placed my order and then waited, waaaaaaaaaaaaay to loooooooooooooong for the person who makes the drinks to carry on and finish a conversation with a Store employee. An older lady who was complaining about having Shingles and that the Store wanted to move her to a different position. I almost asked for my money back. It was TERRIBLE, remind you TERRIBLE Service. When she finally left, some people had come in who were locals and talked about how they closed their business for the Season and she started talking with them and making their drinks. Lady with Purple short hair is RUDE ! I had one of her hairs in my drink and I went back to ask for a new one . She came up to me after me standing there for 5 min and i told her "I'm sorry can I have a new drink there's a hair in mine" she looked at me and rolled her eyes, huffed and puffed, and told her coworker to make it for me. As the girl was making my drink they were both whispering to each other . When I received my drink she sort of threw it and neither of the girls said I'm sorry for the hair in my drink . I like the coffee at most Starbucks and usually stop at one of their cafes where ever I go. The Starbucks in Moab is located in City Market right at the door. The line is very cramped and people are walking right by you with their shopping carts. There is no seating and the staff is not friendly like at the other stores. As other reviewers have stated, this is a very small and busy Starbucks located in a grocery store. Plan to wait for your coffee. We visited three times. Each time they were out of soy milk. Ya huuuu.. the first one to review.!!!!!! This star bucks is located inside the city market on the Main St. Moab is small town and you can easily find the address. As it is located inside the Grocery store, they don't have seating area for the customers. The outlet is small when compared to regular star bucks and I saw only of couple of baristas working. No complaints about the staff and their service. My order took little bit time as there are lots of customers ahead of me. read more

This is the worst Starbucks I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. When we walked up to the counter the "barista" seemed to be on a personal call based on her little smile. Once she ended her call I ordered a misto with low foam made with 1/2 and 1/2. She didn't seem to know what a misto was. The coffee arrived with tons of foam and the coffee tasted weak. My husband's coffee tasted burnt. I thanked her for knocking off some of the copious amounts of foam- no reply. My advice: this isn't Starbucks as you know it. It took forever but getting a decent iced coffee was worth the wait. Avoids the small town Starbucks pitfalls of too much syrup or not enough. It's the only Starbucks for about 50 miles in all directions so if you're in Moab, stop by. read more
