Hot damn this is good coffee. As a Seattleite, we really take our coffee seriously and we don't play when it comes to espresso shots. I am also a former barista. When I travel I like to try whatever the best local coffee is so I picked Snake Oil. The guy that owns the joint is so friendly. He made the perfect amount of small talk with me while I waited for my coffee. I got the iced Vin Mariani with almond milk. As a food sensitivity person, I always have to know what kind of chocolate they use and it's the dark Torani, which is GF. I walked up and standing outside was pleasant because it was mid-sixties with the sun shining on me. On to the point. The COFFEE IS SO EFFING GOOD. I am not kidding. This is a smooth espresso with a complex pleasing body and the shots go perfect with the dark chocolate. The dark chocolate doesn't overpower the shots and vice versa. I've only had coffee this good one other time and I have drank a metric ton of coffee. Totally worth the wait. You're giving money to a good person and getting a good product. Y'all weren't kidding. The chocolate covered bean on the top was a nice touch but the coffee and service stand on their own. read more

This gem is just off the beaten path in Moab. It's a drive through/walkup without seating, but has a full menu with specialty drinks (that aren't just garbage syrup). The coffee is great and the prices are very reasonable - much better than the shops on Main Street. Service is swift and friendly. read more

We stopped here on the way to the national parks nearby. It was a cute little pit stop on the side of the road. The building was decorated with a bunch of interesting stickers! The llama one was our favorite. I got the vin mariani with an extra shot of espresso. It even came with a little chocolate egg on top. It was pretty standard for a cup of coffee. I was expecting a lot more flavor given all of the ingredients. It was such a hot day it was refreshing either way. Overall this place was quick and it was nice to support a small coffee shop in a small town. It was pretty mediocre coffee but it was in interesting stop what we would go to again! read more

Service was efficient, very friendly, & the complimentary chocolate covered coffee bean was cute, quaint little home-town coffee shop drive through! Wasn't sure how the Vin Mariani was a bit sweet for both my husband and I- and I like stuff fairly sweet, but this is like Dunkin' ++ sweet, just fair warning. Definitely a must! Conveniently located on the way to The Arches if you're heading north. It was our go to stop by coffee. We love a good cup of dark roast and they did a great job. The addition of their logo mouth stop was really cute. Their scones were a delight! Large portions, very crispy all the way through. Once again not too sweet which was the highlight and doesn't feel/taste processed. Service was great. Staff was kind and patient with all their customers. This is some of the best coffee I have ever had in my entire life. Oh my goodness...it was freaking good. So, first impressions, there is a snake driving a Jeep against their building. It was so cute to see this and definitely adds to the Moab charm. As a Jeep driver myself, I love seeing these kinds of things around town. It also had a Utah plate with the Snake Oil brand. I loved looking at this little thing while I was waiting in line. Speaking of which, the line was a bit long. There were three cars on each side of the building when I pulled up. However, I am pretty sure there was only one person working and I liked that he had two windows and kept going to each of them to ensure efficiency. It wasn't that bad of a wait, especially for one guy in a tiny little coffee shack in a small town. They had very few pastries and their menu was a bit difficult to understand. It was small and they didn't go over the specifics of their flavors and everything. I had to ask if they had white chocolate, which they did. I ended up just picking a safe option with a white chocolate mocha iced. It wasn't more than a minute or two later and it was in my cupholder. Now again, this drink, was phenomenal. I feel like it is the roast that makes it so good...but man, it was to die for. It was the perfect level of sweet, bitter, and just overall delicious. I am so excited for my next visit to Moab and I will be stopping at Snake Oil Coffee Company without a doubt. read more

We stopped by based on the great reviews. You can drive up or walk up. Our first visit we walked up. There is a drive up window on each side of the building. One barista serving both sides very well. He was super nice and very efficient. The coffee was so good we came back a second time. Three of us tried the Vin. I'm not even a coffee drinker and I loved it. Our condo was very close to here so we drove by often. They are not open for many hours during the day so if you are driving a longer distance you may want to make sure they are open. We never saw it open during the afternoon hours. read more

3.5 stars. I was on a camping trip with my partner, and the first time I convinced him to drive by Snake Oil, they were closed. Booooo. On our drive back home, they were open, but we had to wait behind 3 cars, some of which placed large orders. That and it's probably just the natural wait time of ordering artisan coffee. Despite the cold of winter, I might have preferred waiting indoors in a brick and mortar location for the vibe. I ordered a latte and loved the bonus espresso bean on top. There aren't a ton of coffee spots in Moab, so I know I'll be back to Snake Oil again, if anything to support a local business. Service is great, and I appreciated the attention to detail that went into making the coffee. If you don't want to leave your car, this drive-thru is definitely the place to check out! read more

This is a great little coffee drive thru tucked away off the main drag. The service was excellent and super friendly. The vanilla latte was incredible. We found this spot on Yelp when we were looking for somewhere to get coffee before heading out of town. Basically a trailer with a drive-up window on each side, Snake Oil is a busy business. There was a line of cars for each window and we waited for at least 20 minutes before we got to the window to place our order. The gentleman who helped us was very friendly. I didn't have high expectations when I stopped by Sanke Oil Coffee on my way out of the hotel to Canyonlands. I was just drawn in by the intriguing name, "Snake Oil." It's a small drive-thru coffee shop located about 0.5 miles off the main road. My Americano was served with a warm, friendly smile, and a small chocolate made from coffee beans was placed on the lid. I've been drinking 2 cups of Americano or espresso black every day for the past 24 years, so I'm quite sensitive to coffee taste. That's why I always try to find the best coffee shop in each area and savor the taste. I took a sip of Sanke Oil's coffee and drove the peaceful 20-mile journey to the Canyonlands entrance. It was truly the best coffee I've ever tasted in the past 24 years. I don't like bitterness. It was smooth and nutty when I drank it, and the aftertaste was clean and refreshing as it went down my throat. The 20-mile drive from my favorite part of Canyonlands to the visitor center is like driving through paradise - it's so beautiful and peaceful. And what made this place even more precious was Sanke Oil's coffee. If you love coffee, I highly recommend trying their Americano or espresso. When I think about coming back here, I get more excited about the coffee than the beautiful scenery. read more

We said heyyy we ordered this iced and the guy was like "no you didn't....." we were like - we did..?- can we get it iced and he's like "no you didn't order it this way, what do you want me to do with it????" Wow wow wow. Highlights: staff, chocolate espresso beans, speed This staff is top notch. Was curious to see what kind of business you warranted such a rating on Yelp in such a tiny town. They did not disappoint!!!! I was greeted by this wonderful woman at the counter with the warmest greeting. She felt like a familiar face in a place I've never been before. She was thorough in her questions to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Then, my husband ordered upon her recommendation. When I say this is one of the best lavender white mochas I've ever had, I freakin MEAN IT. Every bit of it is perfect. Every single sip to die for. And, when she handed it to me, it had a cute little espresso bean on top. Not sure how common this is, but the only other place I've had that is at my absolute favorite coffee spot in Beaverton, OR (Jim & Patty's, for the win!!), so it was a really nice little cherry on top of a great visit. Drive through. Easy peasy. And we were stopped maaaaybe 4 minutes, if that. Can't recommend this spot enough. I have a very sweet palate for coffee so can't speak on the more stout drinks, but I absolutely loved mine and so did my husband!!
