Friendly service and fun atmosphere. I had the Sweetwater potatos with New Mexico green chili. I wished there was more New Mexico green chili "HEAT". Maybe roasting the green chilies and adding them to the potatos, cheese, bacon and fajita meat, might send this dish over the edge to greatness. One last thing, that troubled me. An employee was wrapping silverware for future guests. He was grabbing the tops of the folks, spoons and knifes (instead the handles of the utensils) that future guests lwill be putting in the mouths and then wrapping them in the paper napkins. I think it wouldn't of bothered me so much if the diner employee had been wearing gloves, but he wasn't. read more

Awesome! We have eaten at several restaurants during our time here in Moab and the Moab Diner is a standout! We had great, friendly fast service, it appeared that all of the waitstaff, bus boys, and host were all working together well! The food was excellent everyone(group of 8)enjoyed their food. I've seen this place multiple times and seen that is has great reviews so we decided to try it out one evening after a long day of off-roading. It's open seating, very diner-esque. Staff is very friendly and definitely took care of us. Overall, the menu is good. Pretty typical options on there (burgers, sandwiches, etc.). One nice thing is that they do offer breakfast all day! And I love breakfast :) I ended up ordering a chicken sandwich - it was a pretty plain chicken sandwich. Nothing much in the realm of spices or fanciness but overall served its purpose. My boyfriend ordered a chicken plate (the name is slipping from my mind) and it came with the Sweetwater Potatoes which were good, but seemed like regular breakfast potatoes to me. We did order ice cream at the end of our meal because, duh. Very delicious Blue Bunny ice cream on tap for you with malts, sundaes, shakes, etc. Really a ton of options! Might be okay for breakfast, but lunch was not good. The roast beef was so fatty , you couldn't even cut it with a knife. Besides the burrito being smothered with their sauce, the roast beef sandwiches were also covered with the same sauce. It didn't look appetizing, nor did it taste good. This is a cute little diner, very reasonably priced and great customer service! We went during a busy time and expected to wait, and not only were they reasonably fast but they have my kids free banana splits as a courtesy for the wait! Highly recommend. If they want to take their place to another level they could make their own patties for their burgers instead of the frozen ones they use. First off; Kudos to the Moab Diner for being open at 6am! Now to the important stuff. We ordered two smothered burritos, mine with chorizo, hers with bacon. Both came with super delicious hash browns. This was our 1st time in, so next time I will be sure to ask for that delicious green chili over my hash browns too! Everything was delicious and hot. The service was excellent as well. Patty took very good care of us keeping our coffee cups full and making sure we were happy. We've been coming to the Diner every year since 2002 and thus have come to expect a level of service we didn't recognize on this most recent visit. Something has changed, because tonight the service was ON POINT. At a level above and beyond. It's always been great service...but tonight, goodness. My family and I drove from Texas to Moab to experience the Arches. We enjoyed too much that we decided to stay another night. While searching for best places to eat, Moab Diner popped up and voila. It was packed but we got seats immediately. Our server is a very sweet lady (sorry I forgot her name). Food is delicious and the place is just homey. Do yourself a favor and order the ribeye steak and substitute the regular fries for their famous green chili on top of the fries. Idk if I've had a better ribeye in California and they always cost like twice the price as here! $17.50 for a 10 oz steak is insane. The rub and sear on it was perfection. We were here on 6.16.20 for the first time and because we liked the quick, good service we have returned a few more times. Our server, Itzel was very sweet, quick (not rushing us) & very knowledgeable. It appears as though everyone there works together. They all help each other out. We appreciate that. There BLT club sandwich is "Fantastic". I can't review the other dishes because I only want that club. It's that good!! Lastly, if you like ice cream, they sell only Blue Bunny and it's excellent. So, no matter where we have dinner we always end up at the diner for some mint chocolate chip ice cream. This place is by far one of the best places to eat a meal (nothing fancy) and dessert. Hit this on our road trip from Los Angeles to Maryland. This place is about comfort food and gets 3.3 stars. Recommendations: - The "bunny tracks" milkshake. The goodness comes from mini peanut butter cups and caramel pieces in it. - The #5 Sweetwater Breakfast Skillet with fajita skirt steak. Loads of potatoes, bacon, bell pepper, onion, and melted cheese + 2 eggs any style. A total heart attack. The "sweetwater sauce" is pretty much a spicy gravy, and I was glad I ordered it on the side rather than having it smothered all over the meal. - Chicken breast sandwich. My husband enjoyed his and said it was well worth the money. Not-so-great: - Don't come here if you're in a big hurry. We ordered take-out and waited for at least 30 minutes for our orders to come through. - They brought our milkshakes out first while we waited for our dinners. When I arrived, the place was extremely busy, but I was helped almost immediately. The staff was friendly and attentive. I had to wait a few minutes for my order to be ready, which was fine. The food was still hot when we started eating in the hotel room. Unfortunately, my wife and I could not finish the fish and chips. Both tasted terrible.
