This place gets busy, busy, busy. The first time I stopped by it was so packed that I left. The next time it wasn't as busy, I was seated fast, and even though they had a full house, the service was still pretty decent. I got a chicken fried chicken for $10 and it came with mashed potatoes and a side salad. It was tasty and definitely filled me up; however, the chicken was the smallest chicken fried chicken I have ever had (see my picture). The mashed potatoes definitely tasted instant. What a great diner! After 3 days of mountain biking and one day of hiking, I was craving pancakes like NOBODY'S business! We came to Moab Diner at 6 am ona Friday because they were open and the reviews on Yelp seemed positive. What a great find! The pancakes were the fluffiest pancakes I've ever eaten. My husband got the scramble (because somebody had to)--it's their specialty and it's smothered on green chile sauce--freaking delicious!!! This is the place to go if you're visiting Moab. A lot of the other restaurants charge a premium knowing that a lot of tourists come by, but Moab Diner has quality diner eats for a reasonable price. There are just a few things you have to remember: 1. Always upgrade to Sweetwater Potatoes; they're loads better than any other potato option. 2. Chocolate Malts over Chocolate Shakes; trust me--malt makes a difference. But both are rich, satisfying, and made with real ice cream. 3. Meat was hard to chew and the baked potato was probably just boiled. Very expensive bc we left hungry and disappointed. The restaurant was packed with costumers. We were recommended to eat here after visiting The Arches by someone who said it was the best food she had on her trip and I was not disappointed. I was torn between having breakfast or a hamburger. Our waitress said their burgers are great, so I went with it. The burger was amazing and the fries were crunchy and out of this world! Quick, attentive and delicious! What else could you ask for? Our server was very friendly! My boyfriend and I each had the biscuits and gravy with a side of scrambled eggs; both were phenomenal! Our server even asked if we wanted extra gravy when were half way through our meal and saw we had devoured the gravy we had! Uhh heck yeah! We ordered dessert too! This place rocks! It's your typical dinner and so good. The prices are cheap the plates are huge the service is great and friendly and the food is delicious. Was there for breakfast got the Green chili omelette. This was one of the best meals I had on my entire trip everything cooked perfectly everything tasted delicious. All 5 of us ate for under $70 and that includes tip. Wish I would've gone back for lunch and dinner and a milkshake will definitely do that next time I'm in town. I visited the diner while in town over the weekend. My friend and I mostly went to the diner due to the high ratings on Yelp. So imagine our disappointment when the food was anything but 4 stars. I'm being kind in giving 1 start. I ordered the chicken fried steak which I also refer to a "mystery meat". This meat was something I have never in my life experienced. I won't call it steak but it was somehow some sort of pressed meat. The only slightly redeeming quality was the white gravy that I ordered to come with it was actually halfway decent. Unfortunately the meal was lukewarm at best which also did not help with the flavor profile. Why anyone would give this restaurant 4 stars is beyond me. my advice would be there are a lot of restaurants in town try one of those stay away from this diner. read more

Wow this place rocks. Moab was crammed to the max with people and every restaurant was packed with lines out the door. We got on the list and they seated us within 30 minutes. This place runs like a well-oiled machine. They turn and burn like no other restaurant I have seen in a long time. The flow of people in and out was seriously steady with groups from 2-11 and they took it in like a badge of courage. We sat, got water and we're ordering within minutes. Our salads came like they were reading our minds fast and the food was not far behind. Our waitress was so sweet. She was busy but kept tabs on us and took time to chat with us periodically. The menu was pretty broad and the line for ice cream and take out just added to the chaos. We enjoyed ourselves and the food was good although I would say it wasn't a very chill eating experience. There were so many people constantly coming and going that it felt a bit disorienting. I wouldn't rush back there unless there were not any other options immediately available. During the busy season I would say that every place in town is the same so keep that in mind. read more

Really cool and friendly place, but the food can be inconsistent. I had the pork chop dinner for lunch. The salad it came with was good and refreshing with the honey mustard dressing. The main dish came with 2 pork chops, "sweet water potatoes: skillet potatoes with bacon and cheese", and a dinner roll. One of the pork chops was overcooked and dry AF. The other porkchop was was nicely cook. I do not understand how one could inconsistently cook two nearly identical pork chops... I guess anything's possible these days. The potatoes are difficult to mess up, so they're good. Dinner roll was meh. Overall, pretty decent place, but has some flaws. read more

We ate her with a group of 8 at dinner time the night before Thanksgiving. It was about a 20 minute wait, not too bad. What impressed me most was the exceptional service from the staff. They were primarily younger guys and but they were awesome. Kept us up to date on our order, topped off sinks, brought extra sauces when asked. Overall, very impressive for a local diner. Burgers was delicious, especially after a day hiking. Only reason it's getting four stars is because we kept getting told 5 minutes til our shakes our done. Stopped into Mob Diner for breakfast while we were in town and it was one of the few breakfast places open. The food here was just ok to say the least. I had the green chili omelette that was ok at best meanwhile my vegetarian friend had some veggie hash browns that were very greasy with overcooked veggies. I should have been suspect by the fact that its a new diner posing as a traditional diner and the food is as fake as the facade.
