Moab Diner was listed on everyone's food recommendation list for Moab, so of course we had to try it! It feels a bit like you're stepping back in time to an old-school diner - we loved it. It was so incredibly busy when we were there, but the staff were so efficient at getting everything done while still staying friendly. Food was pretty good. Their smothered burrito is MASSIVE and COVERED in chili sauce with a good amount of steak... Tasty. And it came with a side of taquitos and rice. Pretty good for $16. Also got the Diner French Dip ... it was also good and came with a surprisingly good side salad. Good dessert options. Their banana split is plenty to share between two or three people and super delicious. If you think of stereotypically good diner food, this is where it's at. Big portions at reasonable prices. Wouldn't drive super far to eat here, but if I was already in Moab, good place for lunch or dinner. read more

They have fountain drinks on their menu that aren't sold. Party of 7 seated after us had their meal before us. Chicken noodle soup had no chicken in it. Hamburger wasn't hot. The hamburger bun was all dried out. The pancakes and egg weren't hot. Chicken fried stake wasn't hot. The baked potato wasn't warm enough to melt the butter. Fries were cold. Can't figure out why this place is busy. I'd never come back. We had to go up to the register to pay our check because waiter never came back. Enjoyed the environment of a retro diner! We had dinner 3 nights at this location. The first visit we tried their hamburgers. They were charbroiled hamburgers. Meaning they had a smoke flavor. Not a fan of this but if you like such a thing, this is your spot Second time we ordered chicken fajita salad and green chili chicken plate. This by far was our favorite meal at Moab Diner! 3rd time ordered chicken fried steak. While this is a big portion, in our experience with chicken fried steak, there is a batter and then fried. Our waiter was pleasant, but not very attentive. My husband got a burger and my son got a chicken sandwich. They said they were ok. I got the fish. Quite honestly, this should be taken off the menu. They appeared to be three fish sticks I used to eat when I was little. It sure wasn't worth the money paid for them. The restaurant had the typical diner atmosphere. I would not recommend this restaurant nor will we be visiting it again. read more

The burgers do not come with fries like the menu implies. Choose either fries, coleslaw, salad or soup. No alcohol.

Bathroom was kinda gross. Feel overall of the restaurant was old fashioned which was fun. Food was okay. Service was good.

Friendly service with okay food. It's quick order so nothing fancy and no extreme flavors. Fairly large menu and they do breakfast all day.

Not good at all. The chicken fried steak has a very abnormal breading that tastes awful. The Green Chili smothered burger (one of their specials) tasted like school food. Drinks never refilled, wife asked for a suggestion between two dishes she was considering and the server literally shrugged at her. This place was right across the street from our hotel, so went to check it out for a later lunch after visiting the parks. Very cute, old fashioned diner vibe! They have all the flavors of blue bunny iced cream right as you walk in. The tables have all the outdoors stuff on them. It fits right into the culture of Moab. Our waiter was awesome, he made great recommendations. I wouldn't have tried the sweetwater potatoes without his recommendation - they were fantastic and a signature dish! He also recommended the taco salad, which I loved. The shell could have been crisper, but loved all the fresh insides! The only downfall was - you have to go outside to go to the bathroom, and it was cold for us Tucson folks - EEK! read more

I had a long day of travel coming from New Mexico through Utah, I found myself a Moab needing food for the night. I ate here prior to continuing on to Green River. I don't know if this was an off night for them however the food was mediocre at best. Lacking flavor and salt. The biscuits seemed as if they weren't made in house. Honestly, I don't know what the appeal is to this restaurant and why it has so many great and wonderful reviews. We had breakfast and then went back to finished the day with ice cream for dessert. Breakfast was great. Biscuits and gravy were huge and the gravy was awesome. Kiddos got the pancakes and loved them. The ice cream was epic and 1 scoop is actually like 3 or 4. Great place for family. read more

This is a gem, serving all day breakfast and ice cream. What can go wrong with that? We had the Moab Diner's Sweetwater Skillets, the Ribeye steak and Chicken Fried chicken. All food were great, very flavorful and cooked perfectly. We quickly devoured the food and ordered the banana split for desert. If you are reading this, the banana split is a must try. We were in Moab for 5 days and ate here 5 times. It was excellent. Everything we ordered was great and the service was always phenomenal. Even when it was busy, we never waited more than a few minutes. Their milkshakes were the best I've ever had and THICK!
