Reached out to Roy to install a whole house water filter…read more Initially, Roy was very responsive, friendly, very knowledgeable. Once we agreed to hold off until beginning of next year we had a baby so it was hectic. He said perfect timing to recoup his Christmas money spending. Cool. First it was impossible to get a hold of him. There was an illness so totally understandable. He said he would call back. Never did. When wife picked up, he was out walking his dog so he was getting better. Wife said he would call back, even said he mentioned about our job. Ok cool. Since we both verbally agreed, I reached out and finally when I did, I told him I would follow-up in the next few weeks to confirm a time. He said he was open. When I called him again, he still wanted to proceed. Actually, he mentioned he was on a job site already and was busy. Called the week to confirm and still good to go. We arranged our time and vacation since we had babies and water was going to be shut off. Stated the time he would show up. Didn't show up, called that day to confirm, no response just ringing. Nothing. Dealt with a lot of contractors, most have been great with others with most epic sob story you can think off. His reviews are great which really threw me off but they seem to be a few years back and I guess it has went downhill since then. Roy was probably the worse in communicating, follow-up, and showing up. I would avoid Roy completely if you value your time.

This is my first review on Yelp. I didn't know that finding a good, honest plumber to install a…read morewhole house water filter + softener (Aquasana EQ 1000) would be this difficult. I knew it would cost me around $500 because one of my friends paid $400 for a similar filter (Aquasana EQ 300) 18 months back. I called a number of plumbers in our area and was really frustrated by the response. Plumbing Company: The technician is on the way to give you an estimate. You be at home at 11 AM. (we reached home to talk to him. But the technician got something more important than our appointment and didn't show up) Plumber 1: I don't know about other plumbers, but my rate is $900 (Me: Thanks!) Plumber 2: I will install the filter and build a nice, beautiful Redwood box to protect it for just $1500! (Thank God, he didn't suggest using gold pipes instead of copper) Plumber 3: You buy me the materials. I charge $50/hr. and it would take about 4 hours for me. We can finish the job within $500. (I agreed and asked for a reference. After that he never showed up) Plumber 4: I won't rip you off like others. I think (???) I can do it for $550 (he called again in couple of hours and said he wants $850 to do it) Plumber 5: ... Plumber 6: ... (A lot of no shows) The filters were sitting in our backyard for almost 5 weeks. Finally I found Roy on Yelp and he came to our house. Roy: I can do it for $700. It looks like the materials would cost me $300. Me: I know the price of copper pipes and fittings. I am looking for a more reasonable price. Can you do it for $500? Roy: No Raj, that is too less. I can do it for $600. If it is OK, I'll come around 9 AM on Tuesday to install it. Don't ask me how but I felt Roy is the right man for the job after talking to him. I agreed to $600 but was wondering if he would show up on Tuesday morning (experience!). Roy came on Tuesday morning and did a fabulous job. He brought a wooden plank and wood blocks to fasten the filters against the fence for support. He installed a neat bypass line with stopper valves to redirect water while changing filters or in case of any issues with the filters. It took almost 5 hours to complete the job and in the end not a single drop of water leaked in the new lines. He is a very friendly person and a professional plumber with lot of experience. Next time if I ever need a plumber, I will call him first. Thanks Roy, we are enjoying clean, healthy and tasty water now.

He always educates me whenever he has helped me with a job and today was no different. Now I know the right questions to ask Associated Heating. I was ready to pay Ata for his visit (after all he came on a service call!) but he prefered to just let me know the right people to contact and educated me as to the sort of qualifications they should have in order to make a qualified and informed report. I know he's pretty much the only person I review on Yelp, but I haven't ever felt so taken care of and want to make sure people know he rocks! Seriously, if you have plumbing issues in SF (Monday - Wednesday) you should seek his services.

She gave me his card when my kitchen sink was leaking all over the place and I gave him a call right away. He happened to be in my area and came about 1.5 hours after I called him, even though I indicated it was not urgent. He found the problem within the first minute - my hose was leaking - and saved me a lot of money by not replacing the faucet. The only thing that needed replacing was the pull-out hose/spray. He was done in about 15 minutes. Very professional and respectful to me and my home. Cleaned up after the job. I'm lucky to have found him. It turns out that he services hundreds of apartment building units throughout SF.

Great service, friendly guy, extremely reasonable prices. However, I had another problem. This time, I had no shower. When I turned the knob for my shower, I just got like a vibration and nothing coming out of the shower. I was reduced to having to take "bucket baths." I called Ata again, and he said he could. blow out the shower line with his air compressor, To see if that would fix the problem He said he could come out the very next morning. He showed up with his air compressor, I turned off the water, he hooked up the air compressor to the shower line, and out popped a little rock. Apparently, what it looks like had happened, was the rock came loose when the city was flushing out the pipes, and unfortunately, it worked its way into my shower line. In other words, I won the bad luck lottery. Once that little rock was gone, I had full shower pressure once again. The price for the second job was also extremely reasonable. If I would've called one of those plumbing companies that have to pay for TV advertising, they would've probably told me that I had to rip out the wall to replace the shower pipes. Ata was very knowledgeable, very helpful, and very fair with his pricing. If I have plumbing problems in the future, I know who I'm calling. Thank you!

RELIABLE. THOROUGH. QUICK. HONEST…read more Matt called me 10 min from when I reported an emergency plumbing situation and arrived in about 30 minutes. He followed COVID protocols by wearing a mask and entered my home with shoe covers. He asked important questions including the history of my plumbing issues and knew right away what to assess for. I recently had someone from LR Plumbing in which they removed a surface layer of tree roots and the problem persisted to a point where my floors were going to be ruined from flooding. Well, Matt was completely thorough by testing my shower pipes with the toilet and completely removing the toilet to get in there as far as possible to seek any other things that may be blocking the pipes. Not sure what equipment he was using but he pumped out roots and called me to look (which I appreciate because plumbers should communicate with their clients and give updates). From the picture attached you can see he pulled the first portion of roots out (so many and gross)! After 15 more minutes he called me back in while profusely sweating (this guy was determined to fix our issue)! He showed about 5-10lbs of tree root and explained our front yard roots crept under the concrete and sought water which meant they went through the pipes. He showed me exactly what the last plumbers had done (a surface level job) and he even replaced the caps on my toilet. I can't even begin to explain how relieved we are because we've had issues since we moved here and we knew it was tree roots because we've repeatedly explained to every plumber that's come here and no one has gone this deep in our pipes to gather and cutout as much as Matt did. I'll be recommending him to our property management to use versus the other company and sharing this guy's card with everyone. Overall, Matt was friendly, honest, communicative, and most importantly got the job done. I sent him off with a soda, but if I had a gift card I definitely would have included that. Thank you Matt!!!

I can't say enough good things about Paul with Access Sewer…read more After dealing with a plumbing emergency involving a sewer backup and tree root intrusion, I was overwhelmed and had received extremely high estimates from another company. It honestly felt like I was being pushed into unnecessary, very expensive work. I reached out to Paul for a second opinion, and I'm so grateful I did. From the very first conversation, Paul was kind, patient, and incredibly honest. He took the time to listen to my situation, explained everything clearly, and focused on solving the problem--not selling me something I didn't need. That alone was such a relief. Instead of pushing costly repairs, Paul worked to find the most practical and affordable solution. He truly goes the extra mile and treats you like family, not just another job. His integrity and professionalism really stand out, and it's rare to find someone so trustworthy in this industry. Because of Paul, I was able to avoid thousands of dollars in unnecessary work. If you're dealing with a sewer backup, root intrusion, or any plumbing issue, I highly recommend Access Sewer. I will absolutely be using Paul for all of my plumbing needs going forward.

I had a sewer backup caused by root intrusion and initially hired another plumbing company. Their original estimate was around $5,000. On the second day, they told me a pipe ran underneath a gas line and that it would require another $3,000 in work, bringing the total to about $8,000. I called Access Sewer for a second opinion, and Paul immediately questioned whether it was actually a gas line. He recommended that I verify it with 811 and PG&E before spending the additional money. I did, and PG&E confirmed it was NOT a gas line. I canceled the original plumber and hired Paul. The difference was night and day. He used better equipment and higher-quality parts, and even discovered that work the original plumber had completed just ONE DAY earlier was already starting to fail. Paul repaired everything correctly in a fraction of the time and charged me LESS THAN HALF of what the original company was going to charge. What impressed me most was his honesty. His communication was excellent, he explained everything clearly, and I never felt like he was trying to sell me something I didn't need. If I ever have another sewer issue, Access Sewer will be my first call. I would recommend Paul without hesitation to any friend or family member. Honest, knowledgeable, excellent workmanship, and a great value. This is exactly the type of contractor you hope to find when something goes wrong with your home.
