Summary: Very knowledgeable, professional, no upsells, and a pleasure to talk with regarding our shower pan drain replacement. Phone: 530-417-3074, Ask for Matt. Recently, my wife and I called Matt at Main St. Plumbing via a referral from one of our good friends. We were trying to decide whether to replace our 25 year old Jacuzzi shower pan that had cracked (due some underbelly softening), or to get it repaired and resurfaced via a fiberglass redo, and just have a new drain and seals put in. After chatting with Matt (via a phone consult) and sending him some pictures, it became quite evident that the original drain pipe seals, crown nut (missing), and surrounding flange seal had failed. That has most likely caused the under-pan softening (water damage) and eventual cracking. While that isn't great news, knowing this information (based upon Matt's expertise), has prevented us from spending a couple thousand dollars trying to repair and resurface the fiberglass pan only to have the cracking problem reappear (i.e. a waste of money). Matt was easy to talk to, very knowledgeable, and had seen this problem before... As such, he was able to guide us in the right direction. We will surely be using his plumbing services after we get the old shower pan removed and replaced with a new one. Thank you Matt for sharing your valuable expertise with us. Much appreciated! read more

Matt who is the owner, is a superb plumber who goes the extra mile for his customers. We had him do normally required maintenance on a tank less water heater he did not install. A year later the tank less water heater had a major failure, it began screeching and was expelling large amounts of water from a drain pipe. This happened at 7 pm. We called Matt and he immediately called back,he walked me though how to shut it off and re route the water so we had running cold water. There was no charge. He went the extra mile even on a major component he did not install, and saved us a lot of hassle. I highly recommend Main Street Plumbing because Matt routinely goes the extra mile for his customers. Matt takes care of his people. In contrast when we called the company who installed it, they would not call back that evening unless we paid the high emergency rate. read more

Matt [owner of Main Street Plumbing] is responsive, professional, and extremely skilled. I have used him many times - for my own house to replace an old water heater with a tankless, replace interior fixtures and help fix an emergency septic issue, and more. I also highly recommend him to my clients/family/friends who rave about their experience with him. Not only is he quick to respond with a call or text to follow up, but he is so gracious every time to help me try to figure out if an issue requires his expertise or is something that could be remedied myself. He never rushes through a conversation or "mansplains" situations; He clearly explains what is going on with the issue, and the potential solutions to repair it correctly along with cost options to determine what works best for my budget. He doesn't upsell things that aren't necessary or make a problem into something bigger than it is. His knowledge and reputation to provide quality workmanship is why I only call Matt for any plumbing needs and you should too!! read more

Sorry I don't remember his name. Terrible habit. However I would highly recommend using the services of Main Street Plumbing. He has done work for us at least three times. He is prompt, efficient, pleasant and reasonably priced. This time it was a leak in our bathroom ceiling. Linda Brewer read more

Matt was so professional and friendly and showed upon time on time and could not be more courteous. His fee was reasonable and gave me tips on how I easily could fix a few things myself in the future. He was a real pleasure and highly recommended. read more

Main St came to my home, did the job, fast and affordable with no drama or headaches. I've tried a couple other local plumbers, only to find them unprofessional. This was not the case with Matt and Main St. Also, when we were figuring out the scope of work, Matt always followed up on my calls and questions and got me the info I needed to make a decision. Whereas others would take weeks or never call me back. Highly recommend...! read more

Thanks Matt, for a job well done . Matt is now my go-to guy for all my plumbing needs. Matt is the owner/worker bee of Main Street Plumbing, who I knew right away that I was in good hands with, as soon as he returned my call. Matt was very professional and informative, while coming across with a down-home demeanor/good neighborly manner. He replaced my garbage disposal, without trying to sell me a more expensive model, even leaning toward repair, as opposed to replace. I originally wanted to "shop locally" and to help keep local businesses in business, during these troubled times. Thanks again, Matt read more

Excellent customer service and is very knowledgable about his job. We have called Matt out several times and he comes out ASAP. This last time we had a leak in our bathroom tub and couldn't figure out how to fix it. He analyzed the problem and went under our house fixing the problem. We highly recommend Main Street Plumbing for all your plumbing needs. Matt is the best! read more

Had a problem with our water heater, My home warranty company declined the repair job after we paid $85 for a service call! I found that my 2.1 gallon expansion tank was leaking. I found old receipt from 2015 when new water heater and expansion tank were installed. I called Main Street plumbing as they were orig installers and got a great call back from Matt He was informative and great with telling me it's an easy job if I'm inclined and have some minor skills So I think I can do it myself after watching many You Tube videos At under $100 The other guys with my shit home warranty wanted $400 Matt at Main Street plumbing was honest and said via phone call that he would prob do it for half of $400 or I could do it myself I found Matt honest and helpful I'll do it myself and if I screw it up I'll call Matt with Main Street plumbing Thank you read more

Above and beyond service, competitive pricing and always reliable. We've used Main St Plumbing on multiple occasions for our rental properties and couldn't be happier. Matt is well liked and trusted locally, so it's a no brainer to support this small El Dorado County business. read more

This review is solely on customer service. I sent a message after hours late in the evening. I received a very prompt response. He continued to respond with every annoying question I had through out the night and early the next morning. I ended up not using him only because we needed the work done before we left for vacation (48-72 hours). For any future work we will for sure be reaching out and hiring them! read more

We had a broken pipe under our kitchen that was making disgusting smells come from underneath our house. I thought it was a sewage pipe, so no plumber would get back to me except Matt from Main Street Plumbing. I am not kidding when I say he's the only servicemen whoever charged me less than he originally quoted. He does expert work at affordable prices. Thanks a lot Matt. read more

Quick to return calls, showed up on time, got the work done quickly, left everything clean when he was done, and very friendly. Everything you ask. I'll definitely be using Main St. Plumbing again. Thank you, Matt! read more

Great service from a local company. I was quoted a fair price to replace my 13 year old water heater with a high quality new one. Tim and Dan arrived right on time on our scheduled install day, removed my old unit, and had the new one installed and running within a couple hours, bringing everything up to current code requirements. So nice to have hot water consistently again! I would highly recommend Main Street Plumbing. read more

Matt came today and replaced about 60ft of pipe for us. It took him around 2 hours. We had dug it up for him to save on cost, but the pipe went through a creek and into a water shed. He did a great job making sure the pipe was protected from all of the elements. We will definitely be using him to finish replacing all the old galvanized piping. He is reliable, affordable and efficient! We highly recommend Main St. Plumbing! read more

Our go-to plumbing service! Matt has helped on several occasions. He always shows up on-time, is friendly, professional, and discusses all options in detail. He has worked on difficult issues for us, and has always been able to get the job done expertly and on-time, and at a fair price. read more

Being new to the area I was not sure who to call but found Matt/Main Street Plumbing on Yelp. It's great to have a connection with a reliable plumber. Matt is the real-deal. He showed up when he said he would, was super helpful in explaining a few things, very easy to work with, and of course the work is all good. I will recommend Main Street Plumbing / Matt to everyone. read more

My husband put off getting things taken care of for our new washer and dryer and I was stressed. We had to get a plumber right away! I called several companies and Main St. was one of the first and only to call back. We made an appointment for about 3 days from when I called. They arrived on time and ready though I had done a terrible explanation of the job I needed, they were able to quickly resolve the situation. Tim and Dan were professional and kind. The cost was right on target for what I was expecting. They did a great job and we will be using them again. read more

Despite major problems with the prior plumber ($55 Sewer and Drain), Cory came out today and changed my garbage disposal. Cory was polite, professional, and extremely informative. I will now use Main St. Plumbing for all my future plumbing needs. read more

They were able to fit me in the schedule, come on time, repair my shower/tub and charged what they estimated. I would hire them again.

Tim came out much sooner than I had hoped and did a great job at a great price!!

I would not recommend them. They were not professional. They made errors within the repairs, causing new problems. I had to call out another plumber to fix the issue. I felt uncomfortable with there attitude and did not feel good about having them in my home. read more

My home is very old and I recently had a back up in the main bathroom toilet, tub etc.I have not called a plumber in 20 years. I called Sweet Septic and they do skeptics only but referred Main St. Plumbing. They sent out Cory and he was so friendly and knowledgeable the same day I called. Well being an old house you run into so many years of problems and old plumbing. He adapted very well to the situation and corrected everything the next day. Kept up the fine service.
