I like to preface my reviews by providing readers a little about who I am. Im an ex professional baseball player, and career professional, the result of hard work and an unwavering commitment to each & every team and agency I've worked for, and have high expectations of people and service providers, and feel that recognizing hard work & professionalism when it so warrants is important. I located PJ Plumbing on "Nextdoor", where his reviews were exemplary, so I decided to give him a call to schedule a date & time for him to fix a non-working bathroom sink faucet. Peter answered my call and we scheduled a date & time, and a "Soft Estimate" of how much the job would cost. Peter was super responsive throughout this process; he was genial, kind, unassuming, professional, and socially astute. It was immediately apparent that Paul is a Top Shelf Plumber, as he had the issue diagnosed and remedied quicker than I could have imagined. Paul exceeded my expectations throughout this process, and his fee / cost for the work was more than fair. I'd give Paul 10+ Stars if YELP would allow me to. Paul is your guy!!! Thanks again, Rob Thomas. read more

Peter is honest and fair and his prices are very competitive. Excellent service. Would recommend over any other plumber I've worked with.

I have used P J Plumbing numerous times, and I have always been extremely happy with his response time, service and value. This week I had a leak in our expansion tank over the water heater. I found the leak in the early morning on Saturday. I texted Peter at 7:00am and he got back to me right away with a price and said he would be there in 30 minutes!! I was so relieved that he could come so quickly, and on a weekend! I let him know he saved me! It's so wonderful to find a plumber you can trust to do such a great job for a reasonable price. I recommend P J Plumbing to anyone looking for an honest, reputable plumber. read more

You can't help but love this guy. We have used him several times. In an easy fix flood distress situation, excellent, he loves to rescue his clients. His prices are very fair, he is good for what he promises. He does simple repairs, not whole house repairs. He will recommend someone else for a job he does not do. My thought over time was, he is charming, but does not really like to do plumbing! He likes to visit and make friends. His one substantial job was replacing a tub fixture. Poor, not taking time to get proper fixture, looked like a patch job. Not explained. So, if you want a nice, honest guy to do a simple thing, PJ's your man. He is very popular! read more

PJ Plumbing did an outstanding job (again) at our house in El Dorado Hills. Not only did he fix all our dripping faucets, he diagnosed the cause to be high water pressure coming from the street. He fixed that too. PJ is extremely knowledgeable, does excellent work and is a class act. He also cleans up after himself and is an extremely good communicator. read more

Left messages. No response whatsoever. My friend also left him a couple of messages and no response. That's not a way to do business in 2025. read more

Excellent service. Recommended by my residential plumber. Arrived as expected. Quick diagnosis. Quick pricing. He had the spare part needed and was able to fix quickly. Cleaned the worksite. The replacement food extractor was $398 total (commercial), which I first I thought it was high, but a quick AI search indicated very fair pricing. I will definitely be using them again if needed. read more

Peter is great! We had 3 problems, and after speaking on the phone a bit, he thought it would be best to look at them and give an estimate. Peter came here and patiently examined each issue, one at a time. One turned out to be not a problem at all, another he told us what we needed to do to do it ourselves (which is what we'd wanted), and the third he said he'd do it, but advised against it. (We have a tub faucet that drips a bit for days after we turn it on. It's notoriously difficult to change the cartridge, and if anything breaks in the process, it's a disaster since there's no access to the faucet other than from above, without breaking through / removing the tile.) On top of all that, he gave me a small piece of 2000 grit sandpaper which he recommended to help clean our Toto toilet (with a bit of soap), as I was complaining about it. He was very kind (and obviously, helpful). read more

Had a great experience with Peter. He went above and beyond to get our water heater replaced quickly. Great communication. Will definitely use him for future needs, and will happily refer friends/neighbors! Thank you Peter! read more

My wife and I up this morning to a leaking water heater with a newborn at home... on a Saturday, too. Peter has a huge heart and was not going to let us go without hot water with a baby at home. He had some availability and came through for us the same day, got us taken care of, and replaced our water heater without trying to take advantage of our situation. Honest, fast, and reliable. Great conversation. Could not be more grateful to have finally found a plumber we can trust. Thanks Peter. read more

I received Peter's number from a friend. I contacted him, and he came out and did an estimate on our bathroom remodel within a couple days. I told him it was not urgent. Quoted a fair and reasonable price (below typical name brands). Work to be done in two weeks. I had an issue last night when I was trying to turn off the valves to one of the the sinks. Both hot and cold would not turn off completely. Yuck. I sent Peter a text and he responded this morning. He came out an hour later and had new valves put in within 15 minutes. Peter is a busy plumber. I lucked out because of a cancellation. He's still on the schedule to knock out the remaining fixture install in a week or two. Do not hesitate to use Peter. He's fair, quality, and a general good guy. read more

For weeks I have had this leak in my kitchen sink and couldn't find a plumber to come help me fix it. I'm conscientious of not wasting water and I was collecting in buckets and jars and watering my yard, flushing my toilet and had even MacGyver'd an overnight hose to a recycling can for overnight. Last week it got bad. He was recommended by a neighbor. During the initial call, he told me where to go to find the right part. In less than :20m he solved my leak. He was a great guy, good communicator and incredibly responsive. I highly recommend this company! He knew exactly where to go, what to look for and took no time in fixing my sink. This is an old house. He respected her age, my home and I couldn't be happier! I'm very grateful for his service. I'm a Veteran too! Thanks Peter Jean! Referrals to come! read more

PJ redid some copper plumbing in my shower. He told me he would use a Sharkbite. I am not a fan of Sharkbites, I prefer things done the correct way so I asked him not to hide a Sharkbite in my shower wall. With some hesitation he agreed. He finished the job and I noticed he DID use a Sharkbite in another location. I had to have the whole job redone by another local plumber who knows PJ who was horrified by the craftsmanship. I cannot recommend PJ as this job ended up costing me twice! read more

Friday evening at 6pm a hose on my water heater burst. I was scheduled to have guests arrive on Saturday at 3pm. I immediately hopped on Next Door and Yelp to try to find a plumber. I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to find someone and/or that they would charge a small fortune. I called and left several messages for plumbers and most were un-available even on an emergency basis. I left a message for Peter and he called me back promptly. When I explained that I was a single woman and didn't have a clue what to do, he immediately headed to my home and fixed the problem in a flash. He was knowledgeable and professional and had all of the tools to complete the job. He didn't even charge an after hours fee! I was so impressed and grateful. I highly recommend PJ plumbing.
