I don't know where to start about how bad this company is. My house was for sale and the buyers had them do the inspection. They took 3 days to find the tank (after I told them where it was - but what does a girl know?) Then when they crawled under my house they left a trail of debris. Icing on the cake they broke the lids during the inspection. AND I paid the owner for a perc test ( paid 60 and it costs 40) for which he never even got. I actually got work done for double their quote to make sure it was done right. They are incredibly disorganized. Avoid them! read more

Updating initial review from 4 stars to 5 stars... the new leach field was all done in the winter and had major rain storms come through several times during the work. It's been a couple months since the work was completed and I discovered one of the attached lines in the new septic field had disconnected (no leakage or immediate problem). I called John and he quickly sent out one of the guys to check things out. They were out within a half hour and they also noticed excessive settling due to the rain etc and they will be fixing the disconnected pipe, regrading my property where the work was done and cutting down the access pipes as low as possible. I am so pleased with their customer service and overall work! Very refreshing in today's environment to have a business that stands by their work/product. AC Septic initially did a septic pump out of tank and Eric showed me the exit pipe had a crack and needed repair, Eric came back to investigate further and determined excavator was needed to dig back further to see where a good section could be located to connect replacement pipe. Do not trust that Jeremiah Curtis will keep his word to you. Had repairs to my septic system in Grizzly Flats in May. I have my property for sale there. After no less than 10 attempts to have him provide a written invoice and detailed report of the repairs made since May (it's now September), still nothing in writing. I had to hire another Septic service to inspect the system as the property is in escrow. So after paying him over $3k I still don't know what he did or if his business did the work. They performed a home purchase inspection and failed to identify illegal piping and a completely blocked leach field. When called out to see why we were having issues the second tech opened the tank and immediately called the company owner to find out who inspected the tank, he saw within seconds that the wrong pipe was used and guessed as why the pipe was clogged/crushed. As others on here have said , they insisted on pumping the tank out even though the pipe was NOT flooded as the tech claimed and then came back and put the camera 10ft down the pipe and found a clog. They charged $350 for the two service calls and $495 for the pump. They never told us what they were charging and then called demanding $1200 before even sending us an invoice. Their actions have been extremely shady and the owner refuses to acknowledge they did anything wrong. I have spoken to a ton of local and non-local industry specialists and all have told me the same thing, this company did a bad job and is going to cost us $20,000-$25,000. All of the local guys knew who I was talking about before I even mentioned them by name. I have filed with the state contractors licensing board, be aware they already have pending actions against them before I filed. read more

Second time we have used AC Septic at our home. This time was an emergency, our system was backed up due to all the rain we've had up here.and probably also due to be emptied....I called and they set me up for a next day appt...sure enough, Eric called me the next am to confirm and by 2 pm he was here...not only did he empty the system, but noticed that nothing was emptying in from the house to the tanks..he dug up an are next to the tank and uncovered the end of the incoming line, which was blocked..he cleared that and everything worked as it should....Thanks Eric, we appreciate your diligence and professionalism...AC Septic will continue to be our go to... My elderly parents called this place to get their septic pumped. They gave 2 different amounts the 2 times my mom called. Then they said they were coming early on Thursday morning. Then they said it would be late afternoon. They never came and finally my mom called and was told that the driver ran out of time because he had to go to the dump. Charged us 900 to come out and tell us they couldn't put a camera down our line to our leach field. Then quoted us 10000 to replace it and wanted half up front which is illegal as all hell. They can only ask for 10%. When they pumped our tank and charged us 900 my husband had to dig up the tank for them. Not cool Jeremiah yes you did quote me that. Plus I have the 2 receipts from the pumping and the guy coming out and telling us he couldn't run a camera. How about you start being honest. Since it had been pumped the year before and vacant they did not require a pumping, which another company did because they said it was too expensive to go out there. Well not this company. He left the pipe out and left, rendering the system unusable for a family of 5 for a weekend. Their next business day quote was for $1600 with a one week lead time. He came out for the estimate pretty quick, told us that he needed a 50% deposit, then never followed up. We had to contact him to beg him for another appointment. He said he'd be done in 3 weeks. I had AC Septic come out about 2 months ago to empty our septic tank. The worker DROPPED our septic cover into the septic tank! We called AC Septic immediately regarding this issue. We were told it was OUR fault since the wires on the septic cover were rusted. The worker had asked my son to find a rope. While he was looking for the rope, the worker dropped the cover into the tank! So, the owner said we could spend $900 to get a new/upgraded cover from them! No apology no offer to replace the damage done by THEIR worker. Nothing but trying to sell us another cover! Consumer beware! They aren't willing to stand behind their work! read more

Quick service, nice office staff, needed a septic pump and repairs per a PUD inspection letter that was sent two months after the inspections so it was a little full at my dads house in Cool. Unfortunately this was extremely expensive for a pump and a single field cap and acrylic sealing the seal on a lid - almost $1,000 for a pump and a cap and some sealer. Also, while both field service people were friendly, neither one wore masks or social distanced (even though I had a mask on and kept trying to step away and told them we were taking care of an elderly man and trying not to get him sick) and both hand wrote receipts and asked for signatures so it involved touching things that were handled by someone without a mask on. It made us very uncomfortable as we are taking care of a very old man who is in hospice in his house when neither one of these service people cared enough to wear a mask or gloves. read more

I called multiple companies they all were too busy. I called every company in our immediate area (Amador County) and could not get anyone to help me.
