I'm confused they said if it didn't work it would be a 250 refund not 100. Do not use! Do not recommend! Rip off!!! Zero stars.If you are not a plumber then you should not say I will clear the line for an additional 250 and if it doesn't work I won't charge you. The right thing to do would be to say you need a regular plumber if you couldn't do what I needed. Not charge me almost 1000 dollars to not fix the problem I wanted addressed. We talked on the phone also got bombarded by you and your wife via text. This was discovered by multiple other septic professionals.It in fact is a double chamber tank with baffling. This shows they never even uncovered the whole tank to do the inspection. Recently, my wife and I called Matt at Main St. Plumbing via a referral from one of our good friends. We were trying to decide whether to replace our 25 year old Jacuzzi shower pan that had cracked (due some underbelly softening), or to get it repaired and resurfaced via a fiberglass redo, and just have a new drain and seals put in. After chatting with Matt (via a phone consult) and sending him some pictures, it became quite evident that the original drain pipe seals, crown nut (missing), and surrounding flange seal had failed. That has most likely caused the under-pan softening (water damage) and eventual cracking. While that isn't great news, knowing this information (based upon Matt's expertise), has prevented us from spending a couple thousand dollars trying to repair and resurface the fiberglass pan only to have the cracking problem reappear (i.e. a waste of money). Matt was easy to talk to, very knowledgeable, and had seen this problem before... As such, he was able to guide us in the right direction. John came out today and dug up our septic tank this morning, and he was very helpful in answering all our questions. We got to watch the whole process (digging up the covers, pumping, and all that goes with it). John was a hoot to work with, and made us laugh throughout the process! Our tank hasn't been pumped in 10 years, and he said it looked good for such a long time. The service tech was very good, though curiously expressed that he disliked septic systems. It was more funny than it was bad. We have a difficult property on steep land. He worked hard and worked efficiently. We paid $200 for the extra service of running an endoscopic camera with detector to find our D-box and it was very helpful. The backup in the septic was bad enough that we had solids in the line to the drain field: so finding the d-box and opening up allowed us to run a hose down the line and then remove the solids from the D-box and confirmed that the drain field was flowing. Great job. The service tech offered further work that we could definitely use, but we have too many home repairs to add anything that isn't 100% necessary. Otherwise, I would be inclined to hire Chuck's Septic to help us install new risers or other more complex work. For basic pumping and endoscopic tracing, strongly recommended. Tell them ahead of time you might need the camera since they don't always have the equipment charged and ready. Also, they schedule their time based on how long they think the task might take. We were very happy that our service tech was willing to spend an extra 20 minutes with us past what was scheduled. Thanks ChucksSeptic!
