Super nice! Food was tasty and prepared quickly. Great to have tofu as vegetarian option. Don't pass by worth a try.

We are on vacation from Hawaii. When we told the shoe salesman at the Tampa REI that we were…read moreheading for the Atlantic coast, he told us we had to stop and eat at TooJays! So when we happened upon the TooJays in Vero Beach, we stopped in for lunch. So glad we did. When we asked our waitress Anna what was good here, she highlighted the Corned beef sandwich, the pastrami sandwich, as well as the Cobb Salad. I asked her how the Turkey sandwich was, and she said it was fine, but you can get it anywhere. We are known for our corned beef and pastrami. I ordered the grilled Pastrami sandwich, called the Rachel. John ordered the Reuben, and Jillian ordered the Cobb Salad and a Matzo ball soup. I'm so glad Anna had the gumption to set me on the right path. We all enjoyed our food, and Anna kept checking up on us. In the middle of our meal, a woman not dressed like a waitress stopped by and asked how everything was, and did we need anything? I told her everything was great, and we'd like some glasses of water. She said she'd be right back. Based on how she was dressed, I thought she might be the manager. When she came back with our waters, I asked her if she was. She said was the general manager. I told her I thought she'd send someone else back with our waters, and she said oh no, I do everything- serve, clear, wash dishes. I asked her where the name TooJays came from and she told us, and gave a little history of the chain. Jillian told her how we came to hear about TooJays, and the general manager was so pleased by the story. As we finished our conversation, the general manager told us she hoped we would order a dessert, because it would be on her. So John, Jillian, and I enjoyed a slice of cheesecake with strawberries, courtesy of the general manager. It was a great way to finish a great meal. To the general manager, whose name I didn't get, and to our waitress Anna, whose name I did get, thank you for a fun and memorable experience at TooJays.

The server came within a few minutes and took our order, but we then waited 30 minutes for the food. Our server never stopped to let us know there might be a delay, and when my wife finally got up to find her, she simply told us, "There's only one cook so it takes awhile." Mind you, this was soup and sandwiches. The my Ruben was good, and the kids ate their food, but the delay was especially maddening as we saw a single woman diner come in after us get served and leave before we had our food. In terms of ambiance, there was not much to it; clean, but nothing exciting. I don't think we will return.

Update: I was told Athena was a kitchen manager but turns out she is the General Manager! Great…read morebecause she also comes up with the daily specials available every day and her inspirations are a welcome addition to the regular menu. You'll be tempted to try more than one but it very creative! Secondly Lisa was our bartender and she was very welcoming and provided great service and hospitality. She also works at a sister restaurant called Chive also located in Vero Beach so we plan to go there soon but really appreciated how she took care of us at the Green Marlin. You'll like the inside bar, full restaurant seating as well as the outside area with food and drink and often entertainment. Glad we got to visit these great people again and sorry this review was posted a little late but THANKS for another great dining experience!

If you want an eclectic- large- menu with fresh seafood and not stuffy vibe- this is your spot. Our server, Deb, was delightful. Simply perfect as far as service. We started with Oysters and onion rings. Couldn't say anything negative about their onion game and oysters were fresh. I prefer mignonette with mine, but this place is a cocktail sauce and crackers kind of spot. No prob. I had the fresh salmon "in the weeds" style. It was delicious. I've had a similar dish at a much more upscale place and this one held its own. My husband had the fish cakes and it came with fish and scallops in a crabcake style set up. They were also very good and very fresh tasting not fishy at all. We decided to take home dessert because we were so stuffed and Deb was kind enough to pack it all up for us with her infectious smile. Key lime pie- filling was excellent ratio of sweet and tangy but wasn't a fan of the crust. Seemed to have a hint of allspice or something unique that we picked up on but wasn't preferred. Peanut butter pie was classic and a 10/10. We saw several people with other dishes, like the taco salad or the fresh fish island style and they all looked amazing. The taco salad was massive and looked delicious. If you are looking for a casual spot with good food, great service and a good drink selection. You can't get much better than this.

Knockout back to school sickness!…read more First!!!!!! I like to send a HUGE shout out to Mama Hue, Vietnamese Cuisine and pass on some real game changers coming from a family of 5. 1 kid home with the ick within the 2nd week of her senior year. With two other kiddos at home, you know I am trying to get ahead of it. Stopped by Mama Hue to pick up some Pho. I simply mentioned my sick daughter and the guy behind the counter said hold on let me get you some fresh ginger to add to your pho. He didn't skip a beat! Fresh minced ginger ready to add. Much appreciation and for this local family restaurant. I highly recommend their vegetable broth pho added chicken, with the ginger, sriracha, fresh lime is amazing. Packed with all kinds of nutrients and so fresh!

Nice staff and delicious Vietnamese food from a cute small restaurant located in a big plaza with…read moreplenty of parking. The menu has a wide variety of dishes with various meat options so there's something for everyone. Both rice and noodle entrees, spicy and mild, hot and cold options. I tried the fresh summer rolls which were very good with both shrimp and roast pork slices, plenty of veggies but was filled with cilantro which I didn't expect but was able to pick it out. I did however specifically request no cilantro in my Bun Bo Hue but there was still a heaping portion in the bowl. Disappointed and had to fish it all out. Besides that, the soup broth was piping hot and full of rich umami flavor. The noodles were cooked well but unfortunately got stuck together since it was takeout. A lot of pieces of beef, tendon, 2 pieces of ham and morsels of meat in the broth. It wasn't spicy at all which was perfect for me. The shrimp rolls were fried well and each one had a full pieces of shrimp wrapped in it.
