We just came through Vero, but took a detour off hwy 1 to eat at this place for lunch. We had Salmon Sandwiches and Hawaiian Wrap they offer FRESH (really fresh) fruit, rice and beans, salad, chips as sides. Rice and beans are delightful! The food was amazing. The service here was very slow, and if you have never been here before, it was rather confusing with 3 separate menus. One is for coffee, one is for food, and one is for juices and drinks. When we first walked in, the photo copied menu was printed on paper where the ink cartridges apparently needed changing. It was literally illegible, and they had to bring us the original copy so we could read the menu. That just seems a lack of common sense to have your menu out that way! So I have to say this place did not make a good first impression! And then I tasted a vegetable empanada with a garlic dipping sauce. My review went from two stars to four! I had to come back again a day or two later to have them again. The empanadas were ridiculously delicious! And that sauce? I could bathe in it! So garlicky and delicious! They have lots of unusual juices and smoothies here, and I'm looking forward to going back and trying each of those. It's a quirky place, but I actually loved it! read more

Found this place last minute for late breakfast early lunch and was amazed by how wonderful, fresh and tasty it was. I am always so happy to find places that can cater to dairy and gluten allergies. I was traveling and needed a place to work on my computer while my ride was at work and found this gem. I own a coffee shop in Ct and never can find decent coffee while traveling. It's easy to drive by and miss the cafe, but don't! Whether you're on your way to work, the beach or up for sitting for breakfast or lunch this place is worth the stop. Whenever my daughter is in town from New York, this is on her special request list. We love the acai bowls, avocado toast, deserts and the wide selection of coffees that have always exceeded our expectations. Palate Cafe is a super cute juice bar, natural foods restaurant, and coffee shop. All of the food is made with fresh, high quality, and mostly organic ingredients. The pace is very clean, with inviting decor. All customers must wear a mask when ordering at the counter and picking up take out orders. There are separate juice and food menus. Palato has a nice variety of smoothies but only three "signature" juices and three from the "juice pharmacy" section. I opted for the Palato Green with lime, broccoli, spinach, aloe vera, spinach, apple, turmeric, and avocado. Some hard core veggie fans might like this but it was not for me. The concoction was very thick, not refreshing like a juice. There was absolutely no sweetness to the drink at all. The servers were so accommodating and added some pineapple and honey to it try to sweeten it up for me, but the texture was just not for me. However, I adored my "make your own bowl". I chose turkey, which was fresh and not deli meat. I also added feta cheese,chickpeas & parsley, lentils & black beans, greens, tomatoes, and carrots. I tried all of the sauces and the garlic sauce and onion sauce were delicious! My son had a regular fruit smoothie and a make your own wrap and enjoyed his meal. The staff was so nice, friendly. I love the welcoming environment and open seating this place has. The woman behind the counter was so nice and told us everything we needed to know about the menu like how the beet latte doesn't have any additional sugar/sweetener. The beet latte was absolutely delicious with yummy notes of coconut and cinnamon. I also got the neapolitan casserole and it was piping hot. We tried the coconut banana bread too which isn't your regular dense banana bread. It's light and a little crumbly with more coconut than banana. It has chunks of coconut that are a delight to bite into. Everything is made fresh and I would be happy to come here again. read more

I had the delicious and beautiful "revolution" Açaí bowl and the "fighter" juice which was spicy and absolutely hit the spot. The food. The service. The everything! I am so so happy I found Palato Cafe! I had a quinoa bowl with the most yummy lentils and chicken and my husband had the Cuban sandwich with rice and beans. We tried Palato for the first time and had a great breakfast. The ingredients were fresh and well seasoned. We ordered the breakfast casseroles and they were wonderful. All breakfasts come with fruit or Greek yogurt with almonds and honey. We decided to bring empanadas home because they looked so nice. The pastry was flaky and perfect with a nice amount of nicely seasoned beef filling. Such a nice cafe and the folks here are warm, welcoming and patient as we tried to figure out what to order. So nice to have another restaurant on our go to list. read more

I absolutely adore this place. The customer service is amazing, the food is delicious, and I love coming here. Everything is so fresh and really tastes homemade. My self control not to eat it on my way home in the car was not strong enough. But believe me it looked beautiful but tasted even better! Service was kind and attentive, after the first visit we were remembered. It's a charming little place with a big window to look out over the street.
