I had researched a ton of places to eat lunch in Chelsea Market and Miznon didn't come up as a suggestion. My friend and I decided we were in the mood for Mediterranean food when Miznon caught our eye. It wasn't very crowded but smelled delicious. We ordered the lamb kabob and the famous cauliflower to share. It was exactly the right amount of food for a lunch. The pita was easily the best I ever had. Light and fluffy. Same with the yogurt sauce - I could not get enough of it. The tomatoes on each table and vegetable displays were a nice touch, elevating the atmosphere from fast casual to something a little special. Will be back to try the steak and the green beans! And with so many places to eat in Chelsea Market, that's saying a lot to say we will return. read more

Stopped by Chelsea market and tried out this place. Got the wild mushroom in a pita. Delicious. Pita Soaked with all mushroom juices. Yummy. Wish less of button mushrooms and more of others but delicious and served with a huge hot pepper. Pricey but quality ingredients. read more

Also popular is the Falafel and Baby cauliflower and vegetarian and vegan options. The atmosphere is very casual with a few tables inside, along with a stadium type seating and an outside area. Amid the hustle and hustle of Chelsea Market, there are no shortage of eclectic, counter service dining spots. This outpost of Miznon, a global chain of Israeli street food, gets packed quickly. We snagged a table for an early lunch. The menu has a number of options both vegetarian (a falafel burger, seared mushrooms, charred cauliflower) and meat (lamb, chicken, slow cooked beef). The falafel burger was packed with fresh herbs, taking in a hit of flavour from pickles and a roasted tomato, while the lamb was tender, smoky, and just spicy enough (though on the salty side) The almost impossible soft pita somehow held together, though I wouldn't recommend trying to eat and walk in the crowds read more

This place was highly recommended by many so decided to go here. Lamb Peta wrap: very delicious!! Lamb was cooked perfectly. The other sauces were complimenting the meat and did not overpowered anything. It comes with huge banana paper - fried and salted. My sister and I went to Chelsea market and ate the falafel pita from Miznon. The pita was warm and the falafel was a very large Patty with a crispy outer layer. The layering of the sauce and the pickle was a perfect balance for the pita and the falafel. The only complaint I have is the middle part of the Patty did taste a little bit raw. Miznon has a menu that I am always in the mood for. Unfortunately, on the day that I went, they were out of the famous whole cauliflower. We did enjoy our sandwiches-- the ribeye minute steak and the intimate stew. Both were flavorful and well spiced. Next time I'd ask them to go a little lighter on the tahini, as the sauce made the bottom of the sandwich a little too wet. The bread is fantastic so you'll want to savor every bite. Service was super friendly and tried to assist with dietary questions. Miznon has regular tables and cool Scandinavian step seating for smaller groups and solo diners. It's hard to know which spots are worth visiting in food halls like Chelsea Market. I would recommend Miznon. read more

I decided to check out Chelsea Market for lunch and my colleague gave different suggestions such as Israeli street food. I wanted something casual and different so I was down. They claimed to have fresh ingredients and locations globally. It's located on the main concourse. There was so many items that I wanted to order from the menu, but I got the pita entree. There's a vegetarian and non-vegetarian section. I got the Intimate Stew (slow cooked beef & roots) with tahini and spicy green peppers. It was pretty good. I recommend it and the place. read more

I have been wanting to try Miznon for a very long time and so glad I finally got to try it. I got the pita with rotisserie chicken and green beans. The pita was so soft and chicken filled with spices. I do wish there was more tahini or sauce in the pita but I was able to ask for extra on the side. You cannot say you've been to NY if you didn't stop at Miznon for a pita sammy. This is quite possibly my #1. The spices and textures of the meat plus the sauce are simple yet work so incredibly well together. Chef Eyal is a legend who definitely knows how to make the taste buds dance. Oh and that pita--i don't know how they make it but it's the softest fluffiest and most delicate bread my teeth has ever sunk into. Now the price may be steep for the size but I think it's totally worth it again and again. read more

The chicken pita I ordered was delicious. I loved the service here as well even though it is an order and pay at the cashier type of spot. The employees still made sure to check on us to make sure we had everything we needed and even gave me extra sauce when I asked. It is a bit spicy so be prepared for that. read more

I already want to come back here and I just visited on Saturday. The market is always fun so it's a great place to stop and grab a seat, either at one of their many tables or at the bar counter. They do a ton of pita sandwiches and I would love to try one next time but I just wanted a snack and got the roasted cauliflower with tahini and the green beans in a bag. Both were exceptional! The caulifower is so tender and easy to cut or break off. I could have used more salt and roast flavor but still love the concept and the tahini and spicy sauce served with it were great accompaniments. The green beans surprised me by how delicious they were. The green beans are steamed but served cold with a garlicy, zesty vineagrette that is just wonderful. These were so fun to eat out of the bag I would definitely get these again. The meats and sandwiches all looked delicious. I'd say you can't really go wrong here. read more

This place hit the spot on a hot day. I don't know if I was just dehydrated and starving, but the eggs not steak was perfectly salted and so full of flavor and freshness from the tomato and cucumber. Miznon was highly recommended by so many people as a must try in Chelsea Market. It is pretty easy to find compared to the other well-known food stalls. There is plenty of seating/areas to wait as well. My sister and I split the infamous Hamburger Pita. It looked and smelled amazing, but was heavily greased -- the oil bled through the entire wrapper. We had to place a lunch order in a tight timeline and Miznon was able to deliver! We were having a large group lunch (about 10+ persons) and had a change of plans for lunch, however when we called Miznon they were able to place our order and deliver our meals within the hour! We ordered an array of wraps, I specifically had the chicken, which was absolutely delicious! It was inside a pita with scallions and an absolutely delicious sauce. Our Israeli friend showed us Miznon in the Chelsea Market recently and I'm so glad I got to give this place a try. I had the mushroom pita and it was so fresh and flavorful especially when paired with a spicy pepper. We also got a ton of fresh pita (which to be honest might have been some of the best pita I've ever had - it was like a literal cloud) with tahini and cilantro chutney. My oh my. This was the loveliest find of the day. Tucked away in the historic Chelsea Market (the original NABISCO bakery where the first Oreo cookie was made), Miznon is cooking up delicious mediterranean-inspired meals. I was unfamiliar with the menu, but a nice Jewish family helped me order. I was pleasantly surprised. The Lavan was scrumptous and, on a hot humid day in NYC, the ice cold mint herbal tea was the perfect beverage choice to wash it down. The sandwich bread was light, moist, and spongy. When I saw the baked cauliflower, I saved this place on my list just for that. Ask me if I ordered it. You know I didn't and I'm not even mad because I was able to try their lamp kebab which was good. Service was fast and super nice which made the experience that much better. Yes, it's in Chelsea Market but yet I must have gone at a good time because it wasn't packed and there was some seating available. A bit pricey indeed so I understand some of the complaints with that but it's to be expected for where its located. Reagrdless, I still recommend giving this place a try and check it off your list. read more

I've been to Miznon twice, in 2019 and again this past May. I had very different experiences each time. Pros: AMAZING menu. You won't go wrong with anything you order. Minute ribeye steak was out of this world. I wish I could get this food quality where I live. Easy self-service tables and friendly staff. Cons; VERY expensive. I think they increased the prices of the sandwiches by $6 or something since 2019. Portion sizes don't justify the cost, sadly. Music is extremely loud and detracts from the experience. Location is inside of Chelsea market, so inside to be loud. There was plenty of seating to either dine-in or take out. During prime time, expect to wait 10-15 minutes per order. The orders are made fresh and hot. I had gotten the steak and egg in pita and the taste was perfect. Every bite had a little of everything. 9/10 Overall: probably my favorite thing from Chelsea. we didn't sit down at the restaurant but the place had its own seating for those that wanted to dine in. It also came out pretty quick. Folded cheeseburger $15.5: 4.5/5 so yummy, the crispy cheese was so delicious and the pita paired with it so well. The sauce was also phenomenal. Israeli street food, but indoors. Jew'll love it! Lively location in Chelsea Market. The yummy "runover potato" is aptly named for street food. My wife ate here four times on her business trip because she loves the well-seasoned, hearty, saucy, mushroom pita on tender bread with green onion. The bag of green beans was a delicious change of pace (my green beans are usually yellow and fried and made of potatoes and probably French fries now that I think about it), but these green beans were almost inedible as served because they were coated in sea salt. If you don't want to be a Dr. Seuss character wiping each green bean you've seen clean, order them without salt. read more

I'm a frequent NYC tourist and when I visit I eat my way across the island. Miznon is one of the discoveries I value the most. I can't even think about the food without my mouth watering. The folded hamburger is one of the top burgers I've ever had. And I'm absolutely gaga for the run-over potato and the whole baby cauliflower. And the pita: so soft and pillowy!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Chelsea market location is perfect for what it is - lunch counter fare. I crave the cauliflower so much I even make it when I'm home. Is that nuts? With so many great places to eat in the Chelsea market alone, why do I keep coming back to Miznon? Well, the food of course! The lavan and run over potato are unique takes on the simplest food, cauliflower and potato! And that's the way it is in Miznon, simple food done well, uniquely, with a very nyc vibe. It's not cheap, don't expect street food prices but I think it's pretty reasonable nyc considered, expect ~25/person for lunch. I just finished and already know that I'll be back some day. read more

Being tucked inside the Chelsea Market you would miss it if you didn't know it.....but the good smells of real food being cooked would have you turn right into the place. I love the small quaint atmosphere and good smooth music playing the cashiers are very helpful in explaining what's on the menu and its not overwhelming with the list of food to eat you either want with meat or no meat. I love the servers they are very chill and look you eye to eye to make sure you have everything you need. They have self served infused water with lemon and cucumber such a refreshing way to have with your meal. I only had the chicken in pita and it was amazing. They filled the pita with freshed grilled chicken and the sause and veggies was so amazing in flavor I could only eat one you can have the hot spicy peppers to the side.....my friend and I was wanting something easy to eat and with the infused water that stayed cool it was the best combination. They have a bleacher like seating area if you decide to wait for your pick up but they can seat you and serve you at the table. Like I said the servers are so chill the vibes are great there.....patience is a virtue because again this is Chelsea Market you have out of towners who don't know the NYC rules of conduct so we still got situated fine. I came here after visiting the Whitney. Miznon is located in Chelsea Market and is one of few locations with seating reserved for its patrons. Honestly, that was the driving factor for choosing Miznon over more popular places inside. You order at the counter and they give you a small stand with a letter or number so they can find you once you sit down. The service was prompt and everyone was friendly! I ordered the broken rotisserie chicken pita, which was solid. It was packed full of chicken that tasted great. I do wish it came with tomatoes, lettuce, or other fresh vegetables inside because it was almost only chicken with some sauce, cooked green onions, and some spicy peppers on top. It's missing freshness that would balance out the meal. Without all of that, it's just an overwhelming amount of chicken that makes it difficult to finish eating. read more

The mozz was fantastic and so was the roast beef. I would come back just to order both by the pound. The welcome was warm, genuine, and immediate -- the kind of hospitality that cannot be faked. As we browsed the extensive deli menu, I had to ask what "mutz" meant. I am from Chicago, where we usually say "mozz," so this was my first time seeing it written in what I can only call New Jersey-ian. Without hesitation, they gave us a sample of their fresh, in-house-made mozzarella, and it was absolute perfection -- soft, fresh, creamy, and exactly what fresh mozzarella should be. We took several subs to go, and every single one was delicious. I had The Vito's, which was incredibly satisfying -- packed with that classic Italian deli flavor and everything I had been craving in a sub, and then some. My partner had The Sophia Loren, which was also full of flavor and definitely worth ordering again. My mom had what I ordered as a custom Caprese sandwich since I could not find it on the extensive menu -- mutz, fresh basil, tomato, balsamic vinaigrette, and herbs. It was so fresh, simple, and delicious. We also tried the arancini. The traditional one brought back memories of what used to be some of the best arancini in Chicago at Monastero's, which sadly is no longer around. That is not a comparison I make lightly. The cheese arancini was also wonderful, and the sauce was divine. Personal preference: I could have used just a touch more salt in the sauce, but the flavor was still excellent. Of course, we could not leave without dessert. The cannoli had the perfect balance of softness and crunch, and the filling was delicious. And naturally, we had to take home a pound of that fresh mutz. When we got home, we turned the leftovers into the perfect little Italian deli dinner. We thinly sliced the remaining halves of the subs, added fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, balsamic vinaigrette, and wine. It became a charcuterie-style dinner that felt like the perfect ending to the trip. Taking a detour through Hoboken was absolutely worth it. Some Italian restaurants claim to treat you like family, but at Vito's & Son, we truly felt it. We are already planning another stop on our next trip because we still need to try the homemade freezer dishes -- and, of course, the homemade tiramisu. The staff were friendly and made the ordering process easy--you place your order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. I liked that they served tap water in glass bottles, giving a nice touch of casual elegance. Be aware that is not quick serve, you may need to wait 15-20 minutes for your order. As for the food, it was interesting and felt very much "less is more" in the best way possible--simple but flavorful. We ordered the roasted "Baby Cauliflower," but just to clarify, there's no "baby" about it--it's a full-sized roasted cauliflower, lightly seasoned with oil. It was delicious, both on its own and with the sauce they provide. The same goes for the sweet potato--again, a full-size roasted sweet potato with some seasoning, also paired with a sauce. I ordered the Rotisserie Broken Chicken and it came in a pita with tahini, za'atar, spicy green peppers, and scallions. The verdict is in and it was phenomenal. The chicken was absolutely delicious, very tender and full of flavor. Each bite was spectacular and I found myself savoring every morsel. For starters the restaurant don't open until 1pm in the middle of lunch hours. With that being said i still decided to wait the 2 hours for my food (1:45pm delivery time). I choose to order directly through the restaurant website (with no indication they use 3rd party delivery companies) because 3rd party companies wait time was excessive. Now here i am two hours later still no food. I called the restaurant directly i spoke with Adam and he informed me no one picked up my order yet. Which was confusing cause the way it's advertised on they website as if they do personal deliveries. He said he will call me back once he found out who was suppose to deliver my order. 15 minutes later still no call from Adam. The only complaint we have about Miznon is that we discovered it too late in our trip (just two days before we had to leave) so we couldn't return several times to sample its fare. What we had though was delicious, especially the roasted vegetables (whole head of cauliflower, whole head of broccoli, big artichoke). The lamb meatball pita was also scrumptious. Brought a couple friends from out of town here one night, but didn't totally get the hype. I actually liked mine, the slow cooked beef and roots, but it wasn't mind-blowing or anything. The pita's great, but the sandwich felt like it was missing something... it was just kind of heavy and had nothing light to balance it out. My one friend got the minute steak and had stomach problems an hour later... another friend got the lamb and was not that impressed. read more

My friend and I stumbled upon this buzzing spot off a friend's recommendation, and I can single-handedly say it was the most amazing experience! While its a small place, the food was phenomenal and the ambience was there to match. Everything from the pita to falafel to the cauliflower (my personal favourite) were delicious and makes this street food top of my all time list.
