I was in the mood for a Cuban and my normal place was closed so I hopped onto Ubereats to see what's the closest and found Mity Nice. Even though I ordered delivery, Mity Nice prepared my sandwich very fast and it was delivered in no time. The sandwich was nicely wrapped and had a boars head sticker on it. Overall the sandwich was good and hit my craving. The only thing I would have enjoyed better was if the bread was crispier. My First Friday pick is Mity Nice Cafe. I've been not on purpose avoiding this place and Ginger spurred me to action with a first Friday question. After a quick search of events, I showed up just after 11am. It was empty and i was greeted at once. Looking to my left a big wall sign menu told me breakfast cutoff was 10:30, Dang! I quickly chose to have a burger as that will tell you a lot about a place. The options for ingredients on said burger were better than your average burger joint. I got applewood bacon, mayo,mustard lettuce, tomato, cheddar,and onions. It comes with fries bit i wanted to try the coleslaw. Anyone can deep fry potatoes! After a short wait out came my burger, big and full of cheese(see photos) it was great. The coleslaw was a little sweet but not too much and i enjoyed it a lot. The cafe takes up two spots in the strip mall and there is plenty of room inside, some stuff is crammed in one corner. With burgers this good i didn't even really notice till i started this review. Why 5 stars? Because the Old Broadway is the best sandwich in Tampa Bay. --- --- --- I said it when it was at Moxie's in Downtown Tampa. I said it was it was Nosh Cafe in the Westchase area. And it remains the same at Mity Nice Cafe, near Feathersound. The Old Broadway is my favorite sammy in TB. The owners of this bad ass sandwich shop have had to re-locate a couple of times, but their product has not changed a bit. So what is the Old Broadway, you ask? It's a cuban sandwich packed with coleslaw. It's also illegal in 13 states to attempt to eat this without a minimum of five napkins nearby. But this is a good thing. On my sandwich-meter: the messier, the better... who wants some dry meat betwixt two slices of bread? I say bring on the juiciness, even to the point of a spillage guarantee. Just be sure to proceed with caution. While the Old Broadway is delicious, it must be treated with respect. You may underestimate how busy this place is upon first glance. You don't see long lines going out the door or every table occupied, but looks may deceive you. They do a lot of takeout/catering. When we went up to the counter to order, the workers were furiously making orders in the back. That also added time to getting our order (we were actually worried they forgot about us!), but since this place has such a laid back atmosphere, it wasn't a big deal. At 11:30 a.m. on a Friday, there were only a couple tables taken. Even when we left around 1 p.m., there were still about the same amount of people. I love places that are good, but not super busy, so this is the perfect amount of people for me. The menu has a good amount of variety. After hoovering free pastries in the office all morning, I decided to go healthy and get a salad. I went with the Harvest Salad. It is chalk full of great toppings, like green apples, candied walnuts, craisins, etc. I didn't even need the dressing. There is an abundance of parking (again, probably because takeout is so prevalent and it sits next to a Papa John's, which is also not a place you tend to lounge around). I never went to this shopping strip before, which is surprising to me now, since I live and work in the area. There is a collection of a couple eateries (there is also Thai and Greek) that I now want to check out. This is definitely a great place to grab a quick (or not so quick) bite! read more

You know what? There isn't really anything to dislike about this cute sandwich shop. They have sandwiches to please everyone, some good looking soups, fancy schmancy coffee, and pleasant service. As for me, I got the Hurricane (even though I was assured by a yelper who shall remain nameless, but we'll call him Brett N., that the Old Broadway is the best sandwich in the region). Hurricane is basically a club sandwich (turkey, roast beef, ham and bacon) made with provolone cheese, bacon mayo, and served on cuban bread. If you're wondering why I got this sandwich, I point to the fact that it has bacon twice. I don't know what bacon mayo is, but I know what bacon is and I know what mayo is, and when you combine them, you get a small piece of heaven. This is a delicious sandwich. The cuban bread they use is excellent. Flaky on the outside, soft on the inside. The sandwiches are huge. We actually made a small mistake coming here since we had plans for a big dinner, so plan on being really full when you leave. They have online ordering and in fact, if you are looking for the menu on the website, you have to click the online ordering link (that stumped me for a minute or two when I was looking). They do serve breakfast, but only until 10:30 AM. Strangely though, you can get a breakfast sandwich all day. I'm not sure why they make the distinction and why you can get sandwiches, but not breakfast plates, all day, but whatever. As long as you now all have the info. The only question then is, why am I not giving 5 stars? Frankly, I do not know. It might deserve the 5th star. I wasn't blown away by my sandwich, though I did enjoy it and my girlfriend didn't love hers, so I don't think it deserves top praise. Maybe after I try again, I'll add the 5th. I opened an email around 5am that said one of our upcoming Yelp events would be at Mity Nice. I had never heard of Mity Nice, so I did some research. Around 2 hours later we were at Mity Nice ordering a burger and an Italian Beef Sandwich. That is right...you can get a burger at 630am!! You have to be careful when locating Mity Nice because it is on a very busy section of Ulmerton. It is located in a small plaza that is not facing the road (it faces sideways). It is beside Little Greek and near the International Diamond Center. It is a bit difficult to find, but worth the effort. The environment inside is nice. It feels like what I imagine an old-school burger and milkshake joint would have been like decades ago. We were the only people there since we opened them up, but the employees were very friendly and service was fast. **They have an entire section of the menu with PEANUT BUTTER** You can order an Elvis! Total Win. While I didn't order from the PB section of the menu this time, I will be in the future! We placed our orders to go. I did the build-your-own burger. I don't remember which cheese I went with, but my other toppings were bacon, balsamic tomatoes, ;ettuce, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms and dill pickles. The burger was delicious! It was very juicy. The real standout was the balsamic tomatoes...incredible. My Husband must have liked his sandwich too because it disappeared quickly. Even the fries were well done. This place was crazy cool! I liked the retro look and feel. The staff was beyond pleasant. Informed me they delivered which is convenient for my office right around the way. Of course I got the Cuban and it was better than A LOT of Cubans I have had recently. I'm always on the hunt for a good Cuban and this place has one! A HUUUGE menu as well as a lot for breakfast. Not super impressed with this place. Have tried it a few times now and have had mixed results. The salads are generously sized but the chicken on it is horribly dry and the balsamic dressing is just awful. I tried a grilled chicken sandwich once that was the worst piece of chicken I have ever had in my life. Gristle and fat all through it and tough as shoe leather. The burgers are acceptable but some days served rare, other days well done. The turkey sandwich with cranberry mayo is good though. Prices are fine for what you get. First time here. I picked this spot based on the reviews and the vicinity to my job. Also because Kozy Korner is no longer :( The restaurant itself was very clean with a nice design concept. The service was friendly and quick. Trying to stick with my low carb regimen I ordered an omelette with bacon, cheese and spinach. I could not have the potatoes or the fruit but they were nice enough to give me some fresh tomatoes on the side (yes, I realize tomatoes are fruit but roll with me here lol). Let me just say HOLY OMELETTE!!!!!! The thing was enormous. Like so big I could only stomach 1/4 of it before I was about to have eggs coming out of my ears! No joke. The salads are decent. I can highly recommend the Old Broadway, The Mity Wild Turkey, and there is a whole section of the menu dedicated to Peanut Butter sandwiches. Awesome. The service issues: one time they forgot a sandwich, thus forcing us to drive all the way back over there to retrieve that deliciousness. Another time, we ordered on-line, only to arrive at the restaurant to discover that no one had seen the order, so we waited 15 minutes after our scheduled pick-up time. The wait staff did offer us a gift card for the first mistake. Hopefully these kinks get worked out, I would be happy to bump up those stars if future visits prove to be hassle-free. read more

My husband and I just stopped here this morning. We were hungry, it very close by and I saw some good reviews from other yelpers. The woman at the front desk wasn't overly friendly, welcoming or helpful. David got sausage egg and cheese and I got bacon egg and cheese both on Cuban bread. While eating the first half I found a hair baked into the crust of the bread. Although this was probably a fluke, first impressions are lasting. In addition, there just wasn't anything really special about the atmosphere or the sandwiches. I did like that they had a wide selection of hot sauces! NEW*** I received a nice email from the owner the day after the initial review. He informed me that the Cuban bread is "baked and topped with Palm leaves and at times when we pull the strands it leaves behind thin layers of the leaf which might look like hair". It very well could have been that and not a hair but I can't say with any certainty. I've been here for breakfast twice and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time. Both times, I got the egg and cheese sandwich on Cuban bread. This sandwich is absolutely to die for and I could probably eat it every day. The bread is crispy but also soft in the middle. Just delightful. I also ordered their mocha on two occasions. I thoroughly enjoyed it as well, although I wish it were a bit more on the chocolatey side. Overall, it's still a great mocha. Stopped into this cute little cafe on our way out of Clearwater. We had the place to ourselves at 8:00am on a Tuesday. Love the artwork and great quote on the wall. You'll have to go to read it! Took the yelpers advise and ate lunch here today. This place is clean, bright and very large inside. Don't let the strip mall fool you. Both our sandwiches were large and very tasty. My turkey was $7.99 and my friends Italian was the $6.99. Everything is ala cart so the bill for my sandwich and drink was $10.50. This is a great find for lunch but the breakfast menu sounded great also. The owner and his family are running this place and are very friendly. We had breakfast at the Mity Nice Café this morning. They took over a recently closed 5 Guys, so they had a ready-made diner feel for the place. We were the only ones there. Service was snappy. The gal at the counter was friendly. I had an egg, sausage, & cheese on sourdough. Had them throw on some spinach and tomato. Now it's healthy! Super yummy. Huge! I'm having the other half tomorrow morning. They have a large (20+) selection of hot sauces. If, like me, you believe it should be illegal for egg, cheese, and sausage to NOT have hot sauce, you're in good hands. They have a real espresso machine. I got a caramel latte which was excellent. The decor and cleanliness was impressive and it was obvious that the cook put her heart into every bite! You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. I tried this place after reading the good yelp reviews and I wasn't disappointed. I went with my mom and gma and we ordered the rueben, muffuletta, and mity wild turkey sandwiches along with a SF vanilla iced coffee and Lavender tea (amazing)!! I Love their coffee menu and the fact they offer sugar free flavors (important for diabetics like me) and unique tea flavors such as lavender. My mom loved the muffuletta, grandma loved her rueben (as did I - I kept trying to steal bites hehe) and my mity wild turkey was okay. I realize i really don't like hot turkey, so this was just my bad for ordering something I'm not a huge fan of, but if hot turkey is your thing, I'm sure you'd love it! The meat on all these sandwiches were definitely of good quality and the breads were toasted perfectly. To provide a complete and honest review, I have to mention something we were all curious about -- when we arrived we saw what looked to be a catered to-go order sitting out on a table the entire time we ate. it was a huge bowl of pasta or potato salad and tons of bags of chips. We wondered why the potato salad was left sitting out unrefrigerated for so long. although i have no idea if that salad was for a paying customer since no one ever picked it up...we just thought it should have been refrigerated...maybe there was a logical reason to have it sit out?? Idk. But Beyond the food, I think this place is so cute and unique! LoVed the cleanliness. LOVE the comic-like tabletops and the sayings on the wall!! Love the variety on the menu and the different hot sauces they have out for you to try. There was a burrito shop in this location before that didn't last - but I hope this Cafe does.
