Ignore the bad ratings! This place is amazing. The food quality is great and the amount they give you is off the charts. We finally made it for breakfast and were so glad we did. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast with scrambled eggs and a side of grits. I'm glad we walked there because it was a lot of food. The lox were fresh and there was an ample amount of avocado spread on multi-grain bread. Plus I loved the fact that it had grilled onions, tomatoes and capers served on it. It was served with a bowl of mixed fruit topped with granola. YUM! The side of grits came with my choice of cheese and I added Swiss cheese. Our server was very prompt and friendly and we were amazed how fast the food came out. I loved the interior decor with lots of airbrushed artwork on the walls. Was it a super cheap breakfast, no but you get what you pay for and I think the price was WELL worth the quality and amount. read more

I have been going to spectacular for years, ( since they opened on Ulmerton Road), I always rated their service and food as excellent and recommended it to hundreds of people.Today was a day when I felt totally ripped off!! I ordered two breakfasts and added two plain crêpes, (equivalent to a ladle full of batter). The cost of two plain crêpes was $22 dollars. The waitress told me afterwards you could have ordered a spectacular breakfast, and substituted the pancake for a crepe , you don't have coffee and it would've cost you $13 per breakfast, so the total for two breakfasts would have cost $26 instead of $54. Yes $54 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and this was one of my top favorite breakfasts ever. It's just a typical diner inside, clean, but plain, but the food is fantastic. I had the lobster eggs Benedict and wow was it ever flavorful. My eggs were PERFECTLY poached, there was a ton of buttery lobster, and the hollandaise sauce was phenomenal. Their breakfast potatoes are flavorful and the portions were enormous. Would definitely eat here again and again. read more

Been forever since we have been here. We barely remembered it. We chose to come on Mother's Day, & came as early as we could to avoid the rush. That was a success! We were sat right away in a comfy booth and had great service from the hostess and the server. Both assisted us with a great welcome! It wasn't so crowded since it was early m, but people started coming in and it filled about by 10am. We ordered the lobster Benedict which I loved that I had the option of having it with crepe instead of English Muffin. That was definitely what I was looking for. Skillets are few and far between here still, and that was perfect for my husband. Everything was nice, not too loud, comfortable and spacious with great everything. They do have three locations. I've been to their Clearwater Beach location a while back but not their Indian Rocks one. read more

This is a kinda long story! First time coming here. We were greeted with "how many" no smile or welcome. The young lady server Mariah was very sweet and welcoming. We placed our order. We waited and waited and waited. It was not super busy. A man came in sat down near us , he was welcomed by most waitstaff "hello Jerry" he was waited on and got his breakfast asap! Our waitress was covering the drinks and coffee bar. So she wasn't just serving tables. We asked the older woman ( who seemed to be in charge) could she check on our food as others that came in after us were being served, her response was "some things take longer " my response was it was just a basic breakfast. This is woman was the most Unkind & Unfriendly person. They brought our breakfast my husband ordered corn beef hash, they brought him chicken fried steak. Older woman had his plate and proceeded to say this takes longer. Well we told her that's not what he ordered. Mariah looked at her slip with our order! The woman knew she was wrong! I observed the woman and the other older woman they both were not friendly. The cost was expensive. The service mediocre. Needless to say we will Not be going there again. The owner needs to do some training on customer service!!! read more

It was a nice breakfast place good service but the biscuits and gravy were a little sharp... A little too much on the traditional over butter and like most places the coffee was not that good. I don't know what's wrong is 20205. A little dark roast hello... But overall it was good. They could modernize a little bit and get a little better ingredients.... read more

The food was the worst I've eaten in a while. The steak I ordered was supposed to be medium, but it was way overcooked. The hashbrowns and eggs were undercooked, and I've never tasted grits like these before. I paid almost $30 for this garbage. I will never eat here again and don't recommend it to anyone. read more

One my new favorite spots for breakfast... fast friendly service & atmosphere is perfect! The dining room / seating area is spacious. Everything ordered was made correctly. Everything came out hot & worthy of a solid 4star first time experience. By the way - the service alone is 5 star quality. I'd definitely recommend ... family friendly & reasonably priced. read more

Has the best food. Service is always excellent and I see the same waitresses over the years- love that!

Great breakfast and brunch stop! We've been here several times and have never been disappointed. The food is spot on! I've enjoyed the country fried steak with sausage gravy, two scrambled eggs, homefried potatoes, and rye toast. Excellent! I've also enjoyed one of the skillets, which consists of ham and sausage, choice of eggs, cheese, on top of their home fries. If there's one thing I'm not thrilled with it would be their home fries, they are the cubed potatoes deep fried, I'm just not a fan of these. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

The prices are extremely high. We will not be back for that reason alone. To add insult to injury, they charge extra if you use a credit card. The food was very average. The restaurant itself is like a typical strip mall. Not impressive at all. The owners are very cheap. read more

The best Senior Breakfast in town for under $11 which includes coffee or tea. Eggs are done perfectly.

WOW, is all I have to say. Some of the BEST breakfast I have had in a really long time. I came in on a weekend around 11:30 & the place was still pretty full. Although, there was no wait for a table. The parking was easy as there was a decent sized parking lot. The service was friendly and quick! The food: Choco choco waffle: 5/5, would highly recommend if you can't decide between savory and sweet. It's the perfect balance between your typical sweet breakfast (half a waffle) and the typical savory breakfast (eggs, potatoes, and sausage/bacon). The waffle was soft on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside. The strawberries were fresh & sweet. Loved, loved, loved the breakfast potatoes! Crepe: 5/5, amazing crepe! It was huge! The crepe was cooked perfectly & I loved the wide options of sweet and savory crepes. Service: 5/5, unfortunately I don't remember the name of our server, but she was so sweet! She was friendly and attentive. I cannot wait to go back here. Amazing, amazing place! read more

Came here as one of the stops on my husband and I's "brunch tour" of places near Largo during our last family vacation here. I would say this place is not as yummy as First Watch, but yummier than all the other places we went :) Our order: strawberry banana crepe, "the brunch", fresh squeezed OJ Vibes: casual but professional Pros: - super affordable for the quantity! - The OJ was so great, tasted super fresh and yummy I wanted more - Quick service, our server was super kind and waited for us to finish praying before leaving us with our food - Clean bathrooms - Short wait times - Great food! My crepe was freaking DELICIOUS. - Easy parking lot outside Cons: - Random flies in the restaurant but otherwise NBD read more

1 person in the entire restaurant and they left me stand there for several minutes rather than seat me so I left.

Cute breakfast joint! The building itself is a little shanty and could use an update, but food-wise everything was great. The food came in a timely manner every with 2/3 capacity. The menu had a large array of options including drink menus on the blackboards posted around the pillars. We were pleasantly surprised that alcoholic beverages were served, as well as multiple coffee beverages, a kids and senior menu. The only downside was the lack of milk alternatives so I went with the pineapple breeze which got me right! read more

Always good omelets but this time I tried the chicken and waffles. The chickens tenders were tasty as was the Belgian waffle. Only complaint was the drizzle of something that tasted similar to honey mustard. Next time I'll make sure that isn't there. There was also a strawberry drizzle that was tasty. In town and found this place on Yelp. What a gem! Had a s'mores iced coffee, I was afraid of being too sweet and it was not - it was perfect! Also had the choco waffles, comes with eggs and home fries, fully loaded plate! The Hawaiian avocado toast (special) was an interesting! It had ham, pineapple, pieces of grilled chicken and grilled onion with the egg on top and all sitting over smashed avocado and sliced tomato. Too many different things going on, which I think was a mix up because there's another option similar to it and the avocado tasted like it wasn't ripe enough so that sort of threw off the whole thing. Kids eat free on Saturdays, they was nice and another full plate! They have omelettes on the kids menu, served with home fries and fruit. My son loved his. We had a great server who was super sweet. Really liked this place and hoping to be back before we leave town to try more menu items! read more

I came here for breakfast the other day. Located near ulmerton and belcher. Nice little outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. The service was good but their food has one of the most beautiful presentations and for a good price! They have many options of food to choose from and all of their portions are very large! We had the New Yorker benedict and the chocolate crepe and shared. The benedict you choose your meat (bacon, ham, sausage) and I chose ham. They gave some on the benedict and even more pieces on the side. The chocolate crepe was huge and had a lot of different fruit on top including: strawberries, bananas, cantaloupe, blueberries and pineapple. Very tasty and a must try! read more

I want to give it 4 stars. The temperature was lukewarm. I ordered a crepe, 2 eggs, sausage and home fries. The crepe was "open" not closed. So when it was covered with the cream it stuck to the plate. Kinda disappointed. Was still tasty. Was a great portion. The sausage was way too greasy, hard pass on that. I'd probably go with a standard breakfast next time. Just eggs and toast read more

Yummy food, the only negative feedback I have is the service. I'm not sure if our waitress was having a bad day but she seemed very stressed, she was an older woman with a blonde ponytail, she barely spent time at our table, I felt like I was running telling her what we wanted, when I wanted to ask her something she was already gone. I asked for a mango smoothie and brought me an orange one. The place wasn't even that full (see pictures). The other thing I want to point out is that their bathroom wasn't very clean, there were papers and water all over the floor and the toilet looked pretty dirty. Overall we were please with the food, the avocado toasts tasted great and you can't beat their amazing prices. I just wished we had a different server and that they looked out for the cleanness of the place a bit more. read more

Another Speggtacular breakfast! Went for brunch with my wife on a Saturday morning. Waited about 10 minutes to sit but well worth the wait! There is outdoor and indoor seating. Servers were wearing masks. All of there food is so good, you can't go wrong and they have a wide variety. This time we got a meat lovers Benedict which was a special but I believe you can ask for it anytime. Also ordered the rolled crepes which were amazing! Three large crepes with English cream with lots of fresh fruit. Large portions and average price is about $10-$13 for most items. If you are a local and haven't been you are missing out! read more

AJ the waitress at the restaurant had another table where she had to serve a customer by the name of David as well as another customer at another table Daniel. The restaurant served really healthy options possibly vegetarian, pescatarian or vegan friendly as on the menu there were options for freshly squeezed Orange Juice. To be frank, I'm not completely vegan. The waitress, if I remember correctly was from Arizona, was really efficient and really straight forward when explaining the menu items which was really appreciated. For some reason I remember the plates that Daniel and David ordered, although David was from Missouri and a free lance photographer, their plates looked delicious. The food was delightful and the atmosphere was really friendly. read more

Whether you call breakfast restaurants diners, greasy spoons, eateries, the one thing you will call Speggtacular after eating here is good. This was the first time I ate at the restaurant, but I've had a number of to go meals and everyone has been a great meal. For this meal, I ordered the brunch plate and there was so much food, I couldn't finish my meal and I'm a proud member of the clean your plate club. The two over easy eggs were cooked perfectly. Then add on crispy home fries, two sausage links, two pieces of bacon, two slices of ham, one piece of French toast, a crepe, toast and fresh fruit and you've got yourself a full brunch! Definitely will be back to try some of their other tasty treats. read more

Delicious Veggie/Meat Combo Skillet with poached eggs! We sat outside and the weather was beautiful. Food was fresh and perfectly cooked.

I was Yelping for a place for breakfast near Shoot Straight in Clearwater, while my friend drove like a maniac on I-275 from St. Petersburg. That's when the hangover really started to take hold. In my frantic searching (because nausea, afraid of vomiting in my friend's car), I found Speggtacular was close to out planned destination. Fortunately, we arrived there around 9:45AM when there were still some parking spots in the lot -- it would be filled by the time we left. Upon entering, it looked like a typical, no-frills sit-down type of eatery. White pointed walls with red trim, booths, and tables, there was also a bar area where they made mimosas and bloody mary's. But I was not having any of those. When you go to eight breweries the day before, you're looking to recover not send yourself further into oblivion. Our waitress was very nice and attentive -- noticing that I was feeling the hurt from a rough night. She continued to keep the hot coffee and water coming as my slumped over the table -- slowly taking sips so I wouldn't cause a scene. Their menu, as you can imagine by the name, is very... EGG-centric. Which I love eggs. Eggs are good. Let's have ourselves some eggs I say. But I'm rambling. I ordered a tomato, mushroom, and swiss omelette at which throughout the course of the next hour, I slowly nibbled away. They served my omelette with some buttered rye toast, which I ate first and helped bring some color back on my face. The omelette was solid as I nibbled away at that. I thought about adding hot sauce, but being that my stomach was not in the best mood, I decided against it. I felt like a bird... slowly... (wait for it)... nibbling. But I will say that the food was good and hit the spot, especially the continuous servings of hot coffee and ice water. By the time we got our check, I was feeling a lot better than when I first entered. Didn't have the nausea anymore and felt more like a functioning human being. In my spur of the moment decision, fighting hangover and hunger, Speggtacular was quite speggqusite -- see what I did there? But seriously, go check them out if you're in the Clearwater/Largo area. Very dependable breakfast and lunch spot... especially, if you are hungover like I was. read more

2nd visit here will be my last. Had 10:45 reservations for 8 people. We get there at 10:40, and upon us checking in is when they decide to get a table ready for us. What is the purpose of a reservation if it doesn't help them prepare for your arrival?!?! Service was slow today and the restaurant was practically empty. They over cooked poached eggs. A few of us added onion to our hash browns and they charged us $1.00 each...those are some expensive onions!! Also, the only thing that made me return was the delicious Reese's pancake (see my picture from last time) which was unbelievably disappointing this time. Instead of a beautiful pancake loaded with tastiness, I got a mediocre pancake with some chopped up peanut butter cups thrown in the batter. When I told the waitress it didn't look the same, she asked if I needed some chocolate or something...or something is right - this thing was missing bananas, strawberries, whipped cream, and FLAVOR! But you better believe I got charged full price for half the pancake. I tried to like this place but I just can't figure out why the ratings are so high. Breakfast is my favorite meal, I won't waste it on a less than average eatery. read more
