Yum! Best AYCE sushi bowmanville for sure. Being from Toronto, I'd even say it was one of the best outside of Bowmanville (since I think there's only two in the area.) The service was great. The place was pretty full so we assumed we would have to wait a while for our food but it was so speedy. The special rolls were incredible. Everything was very fresh. The rolls were very hearty and had a very nice presentation. Our fave was the Pink Lady Roll. I could barely exhale leaving, I was so full... so worth it though. read more

If you want fresh sushi, lots of variety and don't want to pay high end price, this is definitely the place for to go. I am a food lover, I will go my ways for any good foods. Just tried this sushi buffet out last night with our friends and families and this is a place for very fresh sushi and cozy. To me, when it comes to sushi the freshness is the first priority( to any type of food), but sushi is different. Raw fishes have to be the very great or else the taste and the texture of the fish will give itself away the moment it hits in your mouth. I saw other reviews mentioning about their bad services, but you need to remember this is a sushi buffet not a high end Japanese restaurant. The price they charged for their sushi is already way underpriced. Super fresh sushi, very generous size of sashimi and lots of variety of different appetizers, soups, salads rices and udon in soup or Stir-fry. I think we tend to forget when you pay for something, you get what you pay. The service is not bad, a very typical buffet service. You pick what you want on their order paper and they bring it to your table when ever it's ready. Order as much as you want or as many times as you want, but People, try not to waste food. I did not have high expectations coming here considering it's in Bowmanville, however I was blown away with the quality, freshness and value for money. Service was fast, the food was sooo fresh. So delicious. The lunch buffet was less than $18 per person and that's including tax and tip. I will definitely be back. All the hand rolls were amazing. Noodles and meat were piping hot. read more

We are regulars, and usually feel the food is good for the price. Last night the sushi was TERRIBLE! We went after 7pm and they prepared the food ahead of time and refrigerated the sushi... therefore the rice tasted cold and very wrong! I hate spending $50 for a meal that is so bad, finally we had to have them take the last pieces away, because we just could not choke it down. My husband is Japanese, so I've had my share of sushi. Grocery store sushi is better, seriously. I mentioned this to the waitress and the ?owner and they did nothing. I will never go here again after 6pm! I would get grunts when I asked for something (wouldn't even say anything just a grunt), and they never asked how my meal was going. My wife and I have eaten here a few times, and every time we've eaten here, I've hated the place. The sushi tastes incredibly cheap and uninspired, so I would avoid the all-you-can-eat if possible. The lunch specials are... acceptable, but they water down all of their sauces (they have the worst tasting tempura sauce ever!) If you want a quick, cheap, and nothing-fancy lunch, then this place might be for you. Service here is the WORST!!! So rude, not friendly at all. I always feel rushed when I eat in here. I have done the all you can eat lunch. It's a fair price, you get a decent selection. But not as much choices as something like Kakemono. But that's okay, because it's far less cheaper than Kakemono. I don't go in here to eat anymore because the service is too bad. I do get take out every once in a while. Again, they are not friendly on the phone or when you pick up the order. But the food was made relatively quickly, tasted fresh and was very yummy. I usually get the Vegetable Bento box. Very tasty and you 99thget lots of food for a decent amount of money. The soup that comes with the bento box is so nasty though. It's like straight up fish broth....I always dump it. But everything else seems to always be fresh and very very yummy. I will definitely go here again....for take out though. She kept asking about it and the server said its coming. Just before we were ready to leave my wife went to the counter and asked the server again and she said no you didn't order it even though it's clearly marked on the sheet. In contrast to the other reviews, have had good food and service here on multiple visits. Given one of these was during lunch rush (4 visits to date) and one near dinner time, I would think it fair to say we have seen a gamut of operational hours.
