Despite warning reviews, I needed a car wash and this place was convenient to my location... I pulled up & an attendant was stationed by the intake/electronic cashier/car wash option station ;). It was early morning but I couldn't help but feel bad for her standing in the sun & heat. She greeted me immediately & was friendly and prompt. I got the $20 car wash despite said bad reviews. I had driven about 600 miles & bugs were obviously pretty caked on my Jeep so I figured I better go all out in my wash... I mentioned the layers of bugs from the long drive & she marked my windshield w a neon yellow or green dry-erase marker. **I noticed as I pulled away that she didn't hesitate to disinfect the screen I just touched. *VERY COOL, Mr. Carwash!!** I went through the first time and the bugs were still caked on the front-end bottom portion of my vehicle when I stopped to review it. There were also SEVERAL spots that surprisingly hadn't been touched at all during the wash: rear window was still filthy & untouched at the top of it, most windows still were dirty in random spots, the side panels were still dirty as well. Unhappy with the lack of results, I pulled back around to the entrance & showed the girl the bugs & explained the other problem areas. I appreciate she was very quick to amend the situation & typed in my wash herself on the screen and then walked back behind her to the little office area, I suppose to override my re-entrance... she marked on my front windshield again (ineligible to me) and radioed to the actual washing attendant who then pre-sprayed & scrubbed my front-end & windshield as quickly as humanly possible again... again smiling, friendly, but efficient - I came out the second round with the same issues but didn't have time to revisit this cycle. Overall my Jeep was much cleaner, obviously. I feel firmly that for $20, my truck should be bug free & without so many dirty areas on the body panels & most all windows after the wash. You'd think that would be physically impossible with that crazy cool car wash! read more

While passing through Abilene after traveling 7 hours from Houston, TX! The front of my Jeep was covered in bugs! I chose the most expensive wash on their menu to ensure all the bugs would be removed. I waited approx. 20 mins in the car just to finally reach the vacuums.. after wash and detail I claimed my car and left. I went to a store down the road and upon exiting the store I got a good look at the front of my Jeep it looked terrible!! Not like it had just been through a $34 Car wash! So I drove back to Mister and informed the lady what was wrong, she stated oh no! We guarantee to remove all the bugs we'll run it through again! So I waited another 30 mins for the full process only to claim my car after the second wash and it still looked horrible!! I asked the gentleman that did the detail work what could be done he said he did not know! So I went back inside and asked to see a manager, after a 5 min wait I was told to leave a name and number because he was busy! I was pissed by this time and just said forget it! I asked for the managers name I was told Travis. This place has horrible customer service, ridiculous wait times and terrible car washes! Save yourself time and money and choose somewhere better!! Luckily I will never in life have to visit this place again seeing as how I'll probably never visit Abilene again! Waste of $34! read more

Disappointed that it's always hit and miss on the service that I get. I have been through the car wash now 5 times. The last time I specifically asked for them to get the bugs off the front of my car and mirrors. A note was written on my windshield and the bugs are still there. Then when they dry the car they put very little effort into it. I wish this company would go back to having two people work at the area where use brushes again. Maybe then the work would be better. Okay.. let me start this by stating the obvious- ITS AN AUTOMATIC CARWASH.. the water, soap, brushes and sprayers to ALL the work. They do have someone who has 15 seconds at best to work a GIAINT brush with an extended arm to try to work in some soap to help lift bugs prior to the wash. For people to actually think that they are going to remove ALL the bugs is crazy and not even achievable! Its purpose to keep a car looking as fresh and clean as one can, in between the deep cleaning that highway, country and west Texas driving requires. Being hit from behind- that is on the drivers- totally! I personally get in and out as fast as possible to get away from folks NOT PAYING attention. These car washes are a place of convenience, what you guys are complaining about is what to expect at a hand washing carwash. Come on people.. stop expecting immediate results from your two slim fast drinks your drank thinking your gonna loose 20 pounds by morning- it's a basic carwash! I had to select one star but would really like to give it a zero. This was the worst wash ever. when I pulled up the attendant was very unfriendly for starters. Didn't put the but prewash on the front. So I get to the actual car wash....seemed like some of the brushes weren't working. The last drying roller wasn't working. The checker asked if we wanted to tip the crew before the vehicle was even washed. When it was through the wash and waiting to be dried, I noticed my tailgate and other trucks tailgates had been missed. It was obvious they had smeared the dirt around rather than wash it off, but gladly did so when I asked. read more

The employees are always courteous and observant as to whether I need a little spray before I go into wash or the brush on front and back. My only issue is how can one actually tip the employees if the dryer is blasting and they are finished wiping down the water spots. There needs to be a "tip jar" or "tip bucket" after the yellow/green light at all wash stations so we can adequately tip. read more

There are a few differences between this Mister Car Wash and the North Abilene location. First off prior to the wash your car has dirt taken off using high pressure water instead of soft brushes which the North Abilene car wash uses. I actually prefer it this way because it helps limit any damage to your car. In the wash itself it appears the spinning cleaning arms are harsher on the cars because my side mirrors are always moved out of place here when at the North Abilene location its never a problem. The car is clean enough, but I think the other location does better. Don't get me wrong, this is still a good car wash!! 4-Stars means "Yay! I'm a fan." read more

Ordered a $17 car wash... 1 attendant at first station to get bugs and bird poop off of the grill. After spending about 2 seconds spraying the car, he sent me through... needless to say, didn't get much off. Also, the power went out mid way through. After drying, the hand dryers noticed some left over spots and made sure they went around the trouble spots. Was your car yourself and save the money. read more

Average car wash. It is not a touchless. Quality varies dramatically, but the finishers work hard to get you on your way. Unlimited is not a bad deal, but I wonder if the more you use it during a month it affects the quality. read more

Went to this place all the time with my Nissan no problem took my truck and they scratched the crap out of it. DON'T GO HERE! We have a rare color paint job and it's gonna cost a load to fix their mistakes....it you have to wear yellow ear protection for the noise that probably means it's too aggressive...never had this issue before and this is the first time I've seen them with those ear protection on NEVER AGAIN! Horrible car wash. Did not even rinse the soap off the car. Don't go there. Workers didn't care and just wiped the soap off with the towels they had used on every car before mine. This place is HORRIBLE! DO NOT TAKE your car to Mister Car wash! They will destroy your car and deny it! They tried to tell me it was defected BEFORE I went thru their wash! I called local and district offices and they were not helpful, trying to tell me to they had contacts with local dealers so I COULD BUY THE PART CHEAPER, or to contact my insurance company! For something that THEY caused! This was NOT the first incident with them! I called corporate and talked with Karen Wellem and someone else who said they stand behind their workers that it was NOT their fault! I even tried to call the CEO- John Lai ( in which he got someone from Lubbock to call me to tell me he stands behind what they said in Abilene) but no return call. They DO NOT want to take responsibility for their negligence on their part! They want to push it off on you and say it was already like that before I ran it thru (have a witness it WAS NOT). I have now made a complaint with the BBB in which the day I took in my complaint I was told they were dealing with ANOTHER person from the EXACT location that to which they DIDN'T want to accept responsibility. DON'T GO TO MISTER CAR WASH TODAY!! They had a hydraulic fluid leak and it is getting all over everyone's paint. We had to go through the wash twice and there is still an oily substance all over the car. The General Manager told them to re-open knowing that the fluid would be on people's vehicles. He told his manager "maybe after we send enough cars through it will clean the brushes." I have dealt with the GM before and he always treats his customers wrong. This is NOT how you fix the problem. read more

I've had good luck with them so far. I'm trying their unlimited plan - it's nice to stop in anytime (and as often as I like) and get a wash. Not the best wash I've ever had but nice. Biggest gripe is they usually don't remove the tape they put on the weather stripping at the start! read more

I had been a long time user of this car wash before it became Mister car Wash. Since they took over it has gone DOWN HILL. The few times I used them, the car was not clean, had soap left on it and they do not dry the car adequately. According to the manager, they must get X number of cars through fast per company policy and that prevents them from doing a good job. read more

This happened yesterday 09-07-19. So we're telling the attendant as we're choosing our wash, that if he could note on the windshield to advise the entrance attendance to work on the bugs on the front of the car. He told us , his words , "he will, we have a new brush that he'll use". So we proceeded to the entrance of the wash , the attendant sprayed the front of the car with bug spray as did the first attendant, but that was it. He never used the brush that was sitting in his bucket nor anything else. He pushed us through. So we went back around again and told the entrance attendant and he notified someone else to tell the "brush guy" to use the brush....we went through...no brush was used. We went a third time, they sent the first attendance to make sure the guy used his brush and he, the brush guy, clearly was mad, grabbed the brush, made literally one stroke, threw the brush back in the bucket, then pushed us through while glaring at us as if we did something wrong.
