When we went here, the whole bar was full of people sampling. If I remember correctly, you get three samples for free or you can pay $10 to do 10. We did our three free samples and ordered a drink. I've been to Missouri Ridge Distillery twice because of Springfield's Tap and Pour tour! Both times were fantastic experiences. I recommend doing the tasting. The location is a little out of the way if you are in Branson proper but the drive is lovely. It is easy to find! The inside is well appointed if not a tad dark, but it was very nice and clean. My server, Jamison was friendly, knowledgeable and a lot of fun to interact with. I am not a huge whiskey fan but we all make sacrifices when trying to bring home souvenirs for friends. This place was highly rated on Yelp so while we were visiting Missouri we decided to give it a try. When we walked in the tasting bar was full and the bar tender told us we would have a long wait, we were not in a hurry so we sat down and decided we would just start with a cocktail. Lucky for us a group decided they were finished tasting and we're going to move to a table and let us have their seats. The group told us their recommendations on what to taste and told us that it's 3 for $3 or 10 for $10. We were excited! Once at the tasting bar the bar tender told us he was only doing 3 for $3 since there was a tour bus and half the group was on a tour and the other half in the tasting room. We understood, but were bummed we would not get to taste many. We tasted our 3, that were all very good, the bar tender was short and to the point and wasn't interested in answering questions we had about the different tastings we were having. We ordered a drink and moved to a table so the supposed second half of the tour group could do their tasting... but the tour group was done and left. We felt robbed that when we got there that was the end of the tour group and he used it as an excuse to not let us taste more. He clearly seemed like he didn't want to be there. My husband even said that if the bar tender was nice we would have bought some to take home, but he def ruined our experience. read more

This was a great find! About a week before our trip to Branson, I happened to look up "distilleries" on Google maps and found this little gem outside of town. Figuring that the others might be a little more tourist-oriented, I thought we'd head out to Missouri Ridge. Matt was running the bar, and since it was slow, was very accommodating to our kids, so we could try the tasting. He was very thorough in explaining to us the different types and the flavors of the moonshines. Everything was very good and of course we bought some to take home! My wife and I planned a Branson MO trip around New Years week. We love local, we support local establishments. So while searching for food and beverage locations we came across MRD (Missouri Ridge Distillery). We like to think we know a bit about food and drinking so we were excited to try MRD. While it is about 7 miles outside of the Branson event area it is well worth the trip. The distillery master and bar keep was so friendly and helpful. We paid for 10 tastings which included whiskey, single malt, and moonshine. Each one was fantastic abs he will tell you so. I can appreciate someone's passion like his. I only asked his bartender what the mash bill was . I know there is no aging requirements but most distilleries age 3-4 years. Everything thing else about my review is true. Got the ten pour flight. Wife got the three. Every pour was smooth. The service was attentive and friendly and really engaged when I asked about the history of the area and how they chose to make their whiskey and moonshine. They were salt of the earth people here and showed that they cared about the product they created. Wish I can here on a weekend so I could try their barbecue. My husband and I did a quick internet search for a distillery in the area we were visiting. We found Missouri Ridge Distillery and was so glad we did. After tastings I decided on their Bourbon Old Fashion. It was made with maple syrup from Wisconsin that used his barrels. We bought several of his Bourbons and Honey Moonshine, Today Easter Sunday I got to try making my own Old Fashion here in Indiana. It was really good and brought Back great memories of a few hours talking with Greg about his passion. read more

This place is beyond amazing! There whiskey & run is delicious. The prices are great & if you've got the time email or call at least a day in advance and reserve your order if ribs. You won't find any better ribs on either side of the Mississippi! I've had them from the home of river from Nashville to St. Louis, Chicago to Texas. Thus is home of the most amazing ruins ever. I had a chance to talk with their master distiller. Nicest guy ever. And if you've got a moment to talk with the bar keep (Tina, I believe) she's extremely knowledgeable on all things drinking and exceptionally fun to talk with. What a great time we had here. The education on drinking whiskey was outstanding. I love every sample I tried. For my first Bourbon tasting they have set the bar way too high for anyone else. If you haven't driven off the beaten path of 76 BLVD or the Branson Landing and checked out Missouri Ridge Distillery then it is high time you make that Ozark Mountain Highroad Exit!! This place has the best whiskey and moonshine... PERIOD! It is the only distillery in Branson that is from grain to bottle! It is all made and bottled on site. The atmosphere is fun and laid back, and the view from the deck is beautiful. The menu is short but sweet, with all the meat smoked fresh daily. If you are in the Ozarks go check it out!! read more

We were disappointed. There are some fantastic reviews, but we experienced none of that, unfortunately. The building was small, but had charm, and we were really looking forward to both the BBQ and the bourbon & moonshine. However, the employees were not welcoming, and did not seem interested in helping the customers. Menu says ribs are only after 5:00pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, but at 5:30 on a Saturday, the only available items were brisket, pulled pork, green beans, and baked beans. We ordered nachos, and they came missing listed ingredients and only had chips and processed nacho cheese from a wholesaler, with some very sad, dry, brisket and pulled pork. We sampled a few moonshines, which were decent, but nothing we would return for. read more

This charming wood rich destination is full of whisky and great BBQ. My wife, my kids and I loved the ribs which is only available by calling ahead and on Friday's and Saturday's. The pulled pork and prime rib sandwiches were not second place but an equal competitors chosen by my in laws! Most importantly they give you free samples of moonshine, bourbon, single malt, corn and more that they distilled on site! This distillery was a really neat find in Branson. It was hardly out of the bursting city life and Branson and well worth the visit. My husband and I are lunch there and the BBQ nachos were fantastic. We also sampled 3 different whiskeys/rum for free! After tasting we were able to sit down and enjoy our meal with a drink that we then knew we would like! The atmosphere was kind or dark, but very neat and rustic. The hostess/cook/bartender lady was very nice and recommend what we go do for down season in Branson Missouri and we were grateful for that! Was not impressed with the food. If you order a hamburger there will be no onions, lettuce, tomato. I had the pork sandwich with beans and chips.
