I love this place. If you enjoy high quality cocktails I definitely recommend it. I enjoyed the old fashioned, which includes the option to have it smoked. Next I had the beach bonfire which was delicious as well. It's a bourbon based drink with pineapple and cinnamon flavors as well. I didn't find any one flavor to be dominant and they were blended wonderfully. The atmosphere has a distinguished look and I feel it's a great place whether you're by yourself or with a group. This is my go-to spot for cocktails and whiskey when in town from Austin! The cocktail program is on par with Austin's cocktail scene (as well as other big cities I've lived and visited) and I always feel like I'm getting such a value. Like others have mentioned, big parties are not welcomed here. My suggestion is to take your business to Wellington's, where they have happy hour from 8:30-11:30pm with food and great service!! People at Wellington's were happy to serve us and were so welcoming to our big party! Was excited to come here with friends. But then when we told the hostess we had a party of 12, everything went downhill from there. Immediately her response was that for party of 6, we would automatically be charged 25% gratuity. We said we were fine with it and she acted like she was going to set up the table. Then came back and said, "oh sorry I didn't realize we had another large party booked so we will need to split you up into 2 parties on separate sides of the building." Then we asked her if we could just sit at the bar, which had only one or 2 seats taken. Her response was that we could only have 10 max at the bar, which didn't make any sense. We could tell that they did not want our business so we left. Again, go to a place that wants/appreciates your business and will give you great service because unfortunately, it's not going to be here. read more

In reference to the review left by Charley E. below - we were there and witnessed the entire incident which is not as described. Not only was the place packed - the policies are clearly stated when you arrive with a large party. Pulling a single chair from a 2-chair table upsets the seating capacity making it difficult for the servers to do their job. The servers were more than friendly and simply trying to enforce a policy not created by them - but by the owner. We have been coming here regularly since they opened and have never been disappointed in the service- in fact - the service has always been superior to any other local bars. read more

Solid cocktail bar. They make delicious cocktails and they're open during CoVid-19. Their highland whiskey is delicious. By far it's their best homemade whiskey that my future brother in law and I each got our own bottles. Place has ample indoor and outdoor seating and they have homemade hand sanitizers. They have a gift shop as well. Recommend anyone to go and check out their cocktails. They also offer a whiskey flight so you can try all of their whiskeys. Only negative is they don't offer food but there is an Asian food truck on site outside. read more

We have been enjoying Fox Trail Distillery since it opened in 2019 and last night we finally booked the Spirits Tour. NWA is extremely lucky to have a distillery like Fox Trail. The chill atmosphere, attentive service and outstanding quality of spirits, cocktails, bartenders and waitstaff really make it a top favorite of ours. Tours are on the weekends and the 5:00 tour is the "Spirits Tour" and the 2nd tour is their "Bourbon" tour. We booked for 5:00 not knowing the difference which is great because now, we will be coming back for the later. Sunshine was such a pleasure. She made sure to greet us and made sure we enjoyed a cocktail before the tour. Very welcoming! The distillery tour is something we do everywhere we go from coast to coast. We have enjoyed The Bourbon Trail and recently have really enjoyed the Kansas City tours so we were eager to try our first local distillery tour. I have to say that Sunshine was the most amazing tour guide we have ever experienced. She is an absolute character. She knows the history, she knows the process, she loves what she does and it really shows. Sunshine really understands and explains the difference between Old World Bourbon and New World Bourbon. She values the time-honored traditions while making modern day distilling relevant. We thoroughly enjoyed the vodka, gin, limoncello and coffee liqueur tastings at the end. Sunshine's energy, wittiness and personality made the entire experience over the top. She mentioned that she is like a Diplomat for the establishment but I believe she is the Ambassador. Stopped by around 8pm on a Saturday evening. We sat outside and noticed they had both fans and heaters. Great forward thing as the were both on and made the experience outside even better. No food unless they have a food truck stop in. Good selection of drinks and love the ice cubes they use. I didn't see flights on the menu but noticed someone had posted on Yelp a picture of a flight. Asked about it and then ordered it. Definitely used the distilled water on the 14 year old. Staff was super knowledgeable and really enjoyed the layout and feel of the place. read more

We miss the old fox trail. It's cramped, menu is tiny, drinks aren't as good, servers have changed. We used to be frequent flyers around here, the old place was an awesome experience and was unlike anywhere else. This new fox trail is just like every other small bar around here. Stopped by after dinner for some drinks and I wasn't disappointed! Everyone here was super nice and the service was impressive. The decor and ambiance is a great fit for relaxation and great drinks. The bartenders were amazing and music selection was great too! I love when I challenge bartenders to create something good for me and they did just that. Its situated in a great location not far from the mall and eateries! Theres a food truck outside as well that provides variety of Asian cuisine. Ample parking space is available all around the building. The Cosmo was also delicious! I will definitely come back! I wish they offer snacks! I'm interested in touring the distillery as well.
