I like going to Sushi Junction. It does not have the best sushi, but the food was still great. I had the Unagi Roll and the Tofu Teriyaki. The roll was good with all the ingredients in it complimenting the overall food. The Tofu Teriyaki was satisfactory, though I wish the pieces of tofu were in smaller pieces, so i would not cut them into smaller pieces with chopsticks. I liked the teriyaki sauce, and the vegetables were good as well. I like the Japanese-theme interior of the establishment with Shoji blinds and the Japanese portraits. We ordered SkipTheDishes due to the decent review but don't believe the rating on the apps. It's sad that within 7 months of reviews on google their "cleanliness lacks" and customer service. So I probably will not order take out again nor do I recommend this place. This is what we ordered: * 2 Alaska Rolls * Beef Teriyaki Roll * 2 Ebi Rolls * 2 Tuna rolls * Negitoro roll The Alaska rolls were the best out of all the rolls, it's a cali roll with a small sashimi salmon on top with spicy sauce, they were a solid 3/5. Nothing to special. Beef teriyaki roll was really bad, all meat but the meat was so dry and usually there's cucumber and avocado with these rolls but the meat ratio felt like eating a huge mouth full of dry meat and rice... even if you dipped it in soy sauce. They definitely pre make that meat and reheat to roll. The ebi roll ratio for shrimp was 25%-50% shrimp to rice ratio, the portion for the sushi was not worth $5 per roll. The tuna and even the toro was nothing special. Overall, do not recommend. Don't waste your money. $60 you can get better quality for less and just get pick up from Young's Kitchen on stave. read more

Our first go at Sushi in Mission, order was ready for pick up on time, restaurant was pretty empty but organized and clean. Got home, everything was well packed. The Sashimi was very good as was the Sunomono, we weren't familiar with some of the roll names with no description so we took a chance, can't remember which ones they were lol, but they had great flavour too, a bit too much rice for me but that's just personal preference. Prices were pretty on par with sushi in the lower mainland. We also had a gomae, forgot to get a picture, but it wasn't very good, the sauce was pretty dry if that makes sense. All in all we will be back and try a few different rolls to mix it up but definitely get sashimi and Sunomono again! read more

We just had a teriyaki chicken lunch box. It lacked more than it had. The soup had maybe 4 tiny pieces of bean curd only. The very small pieces of California roll were tasteless. Other restaurants that have only 4 pieces ensure that they are at least a decent size. The tempura consisted of 2 over battered prawns & 2 pieces of potato. And then there's the chicken teriyaki. It was covered with what looked like week old beef gravy and tasted the same. When I phoned to let them know how dissatisfied I was they told me to bring it back. As we live out of Mission I wasn't going to add the cost of fuel to this meal. While I understand that all costs have increased the paltry amount of food was nowhere near worth $15. We had enjoyed this restaurant many times, in the past couple of years, but will not return again and would not recommend it. read more

Came here for the first time on Sat Nov 17. The restaurant wasn't busy but it was almost 3 pm. Our server allowed us to order lunch boats. We also ordered ebi sunomono and a volcano roll. The sunomono was amazing. It came with a strawberry and the motherlode of shrimp. The flavour was the best I have tasted, not overly vinegary. The volcano roll was cool, it came to the table with flames around it. The lunch boats were great too. 2 of had the sashimi and one had the chicken teriyaki. The dressing on the salad was mild and tasted good. The server was attentive and the nice thing was seeing the restaurant staff sitting down together and eating like a family. This place is pretty decent, actually. Pretty consistent sushi and "Don." I usually get the dinner combo when I go which includes: salad (with this tasty garlic vinaigrette), Miso soup, choice of beef, chicken or seafood teriyaki and a dynamite roll. I will say the rice is sometimes a little on the warm side than I would like it to be for sushi but the fish is pretty standard (I've ordered other rolls than the dynamite roll). My only other complaint would be the lack of refill on the water. Every time I've gone I've received my first glass of water and that's it. Also, it's just refrigerated tap water, no ice. read more

I ordered from this sushi place for the first time and boy did i mess up. I usually don't mess up this bad in life. But one split second decision to grab from here ruined everything. I now hate chicken. I grew up on chicken, adored chicken. Now i hate it. They made the texture jelly instead of crispy which is just wrong. Listen junction sushi you cant do that to people. Its just not right. People should love chicken. I tried one piece and quickly discarded all the chicken, removed it from my bento box, put it in a ziplock bag, zipped it up then put it in a grocery bag and triple knotted that shit. Threw it in the trash. Hopefully no animals get it. Don't wish that chicken on my enemies. Then i came back in to finish the rest of the bento. the tempura needs to go in the other compartment putting it in the teriyaki makes them soggy. Amateur move! Everything they serve is very bland and too pricey. You can go up the street and get more for less. The sunomono under 10 noodles (yes i counted) and was 4.50$!!!! They need to check themselves before they wreck themselves. People will eventually catch onto their games if they don't fix EVERYTHING. And no more frozen sushi please people are not stupid. RUDE SERVICE, BAD TASTE....THUMBS DOWN. I've been there twice because it had been so long I forgot that we'd been there before & had to walk out! But, instead of asking why, we complied. Then we saw them: the employees, taking their meal break & sitting at that very same table. It wasn't a special out of the way table, it wasn't a special 'employee meeting' they were having, just a normal break. This restaurant is a square, open restaurant. The sitting area is all one, nothing special & there's more than 1 booth but they really wanted that booth! They still proceeded to take forever to come ask us if we wanted to have something to drink & then they were still so rude! The waitress, I believe is the owner but whether or not, both x's she was rude...almost mean like she had something against us! So here comes the second x around; we felt so rushed...they starred at us the whole x we were trying to eat. I practically choked on my food I had to eat it so fast. They forgot a role we asked for but they were already cleaning their grills & so we let it slide. I couldn't believe the next thing they did though....the chef (who might be the owner as well..husband...) went outside, pulled his car up, came in, shut the lights off & locked the door, put his jacket on & then proceeded to stare at us again. REALLY?! We were there for all of 30 minutes...it wasn't even 9 yet! The server didn't hardly say anything but sigh under her breath while taking our order. Rude, rude, rude! I live in vancouver, and their sushi is by far the best sushi I have ever had! It's not like some other sushi chains where they only offer good portion but not quality. This is our favorite sushi place in mission. The staff is prompt and helpful. The sushi is terrific. We have never had a bad experience here. The only thing I don't like is the booth seating along the wall. The chairs and booth seating are to high. So when sitting the table is very low and you have to kind of hunch over to eat. We've been here tons of times and the food and presentation is always great. The service is great as well. The owners are always really kind to our kids, even when they are in meltdown mode. The older man often comes and sits with us and talks to the kids. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you like wonton soup, give theirs a try. Went here last night for dinner, I ordered the dinner combo which came with chicken teriyaki, vegetable and prawn tempura, miso soup, salad and a dynamite roll. The portion was a good size but it didn't come with any rice which every other place I have been to there is always rice and sunomono with the dinner boxes so this one was a bit on the smaller side and was the same price. The chicken was very fatty so I didn't like that to much. Service was ok. I probably wouldn't order the box meal again but I may go back for a roll and the gyozas were good. read more
