They were extremely friendly and quick with our orders - we had our meals within 15 minutes of order. I ordered the veggie ramen and it was amazing. Came specifically for trying their Japanese style chirashi don as it looks really good in the picture on their menu. But when they brought it to my table, it does not look like the one on the menu at all.. it was just a half of the bowl was covered with the toppings with only few sashimi and shredded radish and rest was just a rice. ( it was such a plain chirashi don I have ever seen in my life ). Told the waitress it does not even look close to the chirashi don in the pic on their menu and she said they are no longer making theirs in that way anymore... felt like it was such a waste of money. Terrible place the washroom is located inside the kitchen I walked in and saw rice sitting wrapped with cling in front of the washroom and when my friend and I received our food we felt so sick at the scene from the kitchen we couldn't finish the food. I grabbed take-out here for the first time in probably 3 years. It's still as good as I remember it. They use bright sockeye salmon for their regular salmon nigiri, their chopped scallop rolls are bomb (you get whole pieces of scallop on top of the roll) and you get a free Volcano roll with your order. Before you come here, make sure that you use the bathroom and wash your hands! And bring some hand sanitizer! This restaurant does not have restrooms for customers. The inside of this restaurant is very small. I think there are around six to eight tables, so it is very tight inside. I thought the food here was wonderful! And I really loved the deluxe sashimi boat we had. The sashimi were nice thick slices. Nikko Sushi has become our second favorite place for Japanese food in Abbotsford! read more

Amazing experience. I was at Abbotsford for the musical Beauty and the Beast and found this place through Yelp. I had Tuna and Salmon sashimi, chicken yakisoba, and deep fried California roll. That's right! Deep fried California roll. You won't find that in Vancouver, and if you do let me know lol. All the food were delicious, and what impressed me was the sashimi, perfectly sliced, and the tuna as at the perfect temperature. The waitress that served us went above and beyond. Really friendly, really good manners, and amazed me with her multilingual skills =) Would visit again next time I am in Abbotsford! read more

Once again, didn't take any pictures as I was with a colleague and didn't want to seem geeky, for the full story, read my review for "An Indian Affair". The spicy salmon sashimi was incredible, the Boston roll was unique(Scallop on top of Avocado, on top of smoked salmon), toro nigiri was very tasty, relatively large pieces and really fatty, and that was about it for "good" things to say about this place. To access the washroom, you have to walk through the kitchen, and you have to let them know you're going to the washroom so they can say something(was in Japanese) to the kitchen staff. It was clean in the kitchen, and the washroom was clean, however still...first time I've had to walk through a kitchen(usually public should not be allowed in the kitchen as it CAN contaminate foods) to go to a washroom. Had a unagi nigiri...was very boney, ika nigiri was warm...extremely warm, like it was microwaved...wasabi was very mild, used up the chunk that came with the Boston roll and wasn't spicy(compared to the usual other places I've been), may be a one off with the wasabi. Overall I would give them 3.5 stars, however no half stars are allowed :( I would still recommend you give this place a try and judge for yourself, however my only experience here wasn't the greatest. read more

Stopped by here before heading to a delayed flight out of the Abbotsford Airport. To be honest, I haven't been to any other sushi joints around here but this place is pretty legit and it's got to be, as Yelp says, "as good as it gets" for this city. What a great experience. Very small place with not much seating. We waited about 10 minutes at 6pm on a Friday of the long weekend. So no big deal. The server repeatedly apologized for the wait which was almost comical. Nice decor and very quiet. Great customers. Food was amazing. A wonderful little sushi place in Abbotsford. An unassuming place with a handful of tables and amazing staff. You are warmly greeted when you come in. You will be attended on the entire time. A great service with great Japanese courtesy. Food is phenomenal. Sashimi is of decent size and you don't need a magnifying glass to find a piece of fish. Yum ! We love this place and its atmosphere. Nikko was fantastic when we first moved to Abbotsford five tears ago, but management and personnel have changed. Not quite as good as the original, but okay. Tonight was really bad though. "The BEST sushi....... In Abbotsford??!!!!" Yes, in Abbotsford. I have had my taste of many many sushi restaurants (including Vancouver!) and tried 99% of all the sushi restaurants in Abbotsford. Don't let this tiny restaurant fool you on the outside. It is family run and the staff treat you well with a warm welcome and smiling faces no matter how busy ( and this place is always busy) it gets. You are also treated to a little appetizer of volcano sushi on the house. The sashimi (I only order the salmon and tuna just because it's what I like) is always fresh tasting and melts in your mouth. All the rolls are SO delicious and put together well. (Yes I pretty much tried all the rolls.) The sunomonos are fresh and also the best balance of sweet and tangy I've ever had. If you're into the raw sushi, the freshest tasting is here. I have had the chopped scallop elsewhere and always found a little fishy taste and smell which made me stop ordering that dish all together until I tried it here. It's the best at this place. I have tried a lot on the menu and I can truly say that this is the best sushi place for quality, freshness, taste and service I ever experienced here. I can go on and on. Last but not least, the price. The price is the best as well. You can't find this much quality in sushi at this price. It's probably the cheapest in town. The washroom is through the kitchen but who cares. I'm there to eat and you can see how clean the kitchen is!! ****Update: (August 2017)The restaurant is under new ownership and management. Can't say enough positive things about this place! We went here with our 10 month old daughter and they bent over backwards for us! Without us asking for it they brought out a high chair for her, when she dropped her pacifier on the floor the waitress took it in the back and sterilized it. While we were eating their delicious and reasonably prices sushi the waitress brought out a tiny plate with carrots, avocados, and oranges cut up in tiny pieces for our daughter without being asked and for free! AMAZING! Never experiences service like that anywhere else. EVER! Plus their sushi is awesome and so cheap! ($3-4 per roll) wish I could give them a 7 out of 5!! read more
