    Brisket and Turkey
    Jim S.

I love the idea of restaurants that give back and I'm very particular about BBQ so some may think it's great, for me it was average at best. They ask if you want "moist" or "lean" brisket and I'm glad I asked for the moist brisket because it was a little dry. The turkey was good and I will probably give it another try sometime.

Very easy to recommend from the great location and accessible parking, large menu with plenty to appeal to the majority of appetites, and accommodating and friendly staff, only issues are quite high prices and rather noisy atmosphere. The brisket I had was phenomenal, extremely smooth and well done meat with pleasant moist texture and extra appetizing flavors. My buddy had a great dish with the special shrimp however as mentioned the prices are obnoxious for a couple sea bugs. This is a classic Southern chain done up right for the American fill up. I was sad to see little heat added to the house sauces but decent variety and good flavors to pour over my beef. Overall a definite must try for those seeking out good barbecue and wanting a hearty family dining experience.

Clean restaurant decorated with various military, police and fire insignia, plus some football jerseys and helmets. Each table has a selection of 6 different sauces, which was definitely different. Staff was friendly and polite , but music was loud and cashiers were soft spoken, which begs for problems with ordering. Barbecue was good, but not cheap...dropped $47 for what was really 2 meals, because sides are extra. Ordered 3 meats platter and added a salad after trying to figure out their method...lean vs moist is an indication of the fat. Their side salad and entree salad are the exact same price, but the entree salad is twice the size? Apparently we weren't the first ones to get confused because they put a second "side" salad on the platter when I questioned why it was smaller than the cashier showed us...and Be aware if you buy a HERO cup, you are actually making a donation...Now that I know the drill, definitely could make this a regular stop if I'm the area.

Good food but don't care for any of their BBQ sauces. Great sides and good friendly service. I ordered in and carried out.

Best BBQ in town! The smoke all their own meats on site. The Mac n cheese is fantastic. I love the smoked turkey.

As I was looking it up on my phone they came to the door and unlocked it. So I go in. The place has no decor. Loud rap music and they didnt have any bbq sauce. What kind of smokehouse doesn't have bbq sauce. I ordered the smoked chicken since it's the only thing that doesn't need sauce. It was dry and tough. I don't think I'll be coming back here

The space was not decorated at all, a messy folding table functioned as the front counter, and the tables and chairs were all mismatched goodwill finds. What appeared to be a couple random steam tables were in the dining room, and were not being used as far as I could tell. One did not appear functional. A 2-3ft stack of dirty dishes sat in the pass-through, and remained there for the duration of our visit. Many of the sides were sold out. I ultimately ordered the fried fish, greens, and macaroni and cheese. I also sampled the beans of a dining companion. The fish breading is cornmeal. It was so hard that parts were inedible, and was so salty that I didn't want to eat the parts I could bite into. The greens had not been cooked long enough. The beans and macaroni and cheese were alarmingly lukewarm. It was clear that they had been hot at some point, but had cooled enough that I was dubious of their safety. Like maybe they'd been in one of those steam tables at some point? The owner is a really nice guy, but it was clear he needed to be helping in the kitchen. At the very least, get the stack of dishes out of sight of the customers.

Among the four of us, two ordered the Texas Style Beef Brisket Platter ($27.99), and two ordered the Pulled Pork Platter ($21.49). I had the brisket with my two sides being baked beans and Mac n cheese. The interior is open air with mostly booths and a bar in the middle. I imagine it can become a little noisy when it's filled with people, but we had arrived early so there wasn't any issues with noise. Our server was polite and friendly. She put the coffee on fresh for us. She checked on us several times during our meal. I loved my brisket. It was tender and moist and very good! I added some sauce to my plate for dipping. There were 4 sauces to choose from, but the two I enjoyed were the Mustard BBQ, and the Chipotle BBQ. Both had some heat which added some great flavors to the brisket. The others all enjoyed their orders as well. Mom loved her pulled pork, and she had a great time. We all went home where cake, ice cream, presents and birthday cards awaited her. Thanks Smokey Bones for helping make Mom's birthday special! 5 stars!

The Morning Glory Burger with the egg was a flavor bomb of amazing! I was hesitant but the mix was spot on. And the Brisket Stuffed Grilled Cheese? Just insane. I honestly can't tell you which one to pick because you won't go wrong with any of them! Can't wait to come back and try even more from the menu.
