At this stage in life, having a place where I can sit down indoors really matters. If there are other BBQ restaurants with this kind of setup, I'd appreciate recommendations. We tried the pulled pork sandwich and the brisket platter, and both were outstanding. The service was incredibly fast; our meals arrived in less than two minutes, quicker than most fast‑food chains. The restaurant is clean and well‑maintained, though a few sticky areas could use a closer look. The military truck outside the entrance is a nice touch and adds to the atmosphere. My only concern was the staff member responsible for cleaning. He walked around the dining area continuously, circling the tables like a train around a Christmas tree. Passing by every minute made it a bit distracting to enjoy the meal. Once the area is clean, it might be better for him to stay in one place until needed. read more

I noticed the fancy name plate and was impressed that it improves over the years with the company. Along with pay increases, that's pretty cool. While eating, another staff member stayed in clean dining area, keeping it neat and customers happy. This was my first time to this mission bbq. I've been to other locations and have had a nice experience . When I arrived the server greeted me and I placed my order at the register and went and got my drink while I was waiting for my food to come up. I ordered a pulled pork platter with fries and a refill of my plastic cup that I purchased at a different location. Before I could fill up my drink my order was already ready. I put hot barbecue sauce on my meat and then sat down with the group I was meeting with. My food was good and my portion size was a little larger than when I got a two meat platter at a previous Mission BBQ. I enjoyed it, the fries were delicious, the cornbread was good but a little bit dry. When I finished there were staff members that were coming around and taking our trays which was very nice and very helpful. All in all a good experience, good food, a clean restaurant, clean restrooms, and a nice atmosphere. I'll be back. read more

The greeting and service I received was a 5 out 5 of the individuals who assisted me. I was at this establishment to pick up the meals so the restaurant didn't have anyone dining as they were about to close for the night. Sadly, I have to say I nor my husband enjoyed our meals. I found the best part of the meal was the cornbread which was moist and warm. I was disappointed with the taste of the coleslaw and the baked beans were not flavorful. As a military veteran always like to support businesses that support the Armed Forces. That is Mission barbecues whole Mission. Not only that but they do provide great barbecue as well. The food can be a little bit salty so I don't have it very often. Every day at 12 noon they play the national anthem and the entire restaurant will stop and stand for it. they change up some of their sides and they have different black plate specials. First off, let me start by saying this was my first time trying Mission BBQ. Last night I was craving something different, and after seeing someone post their meal, that was all I needed. I called at 7:10 PM and placed my order around 7:15. I arrived a few minutes before 7:30 and picked up my food to go. When I got home and opened it, the disappointment hit immediately. The brisket looked like leftovers, and I was honestly very disappointed. I called the store and spoke with the manager, Kenny. He was apologetic and kind. The first thing he said after hearing my concern was, "How can I make this right?" He offered to replace the meal, and I accepted. However, this morning (3/4/26), after thinking about how disappointed I initially felt, I decided I would prefer a refund instead of a replacement. I called and spoke with Terri. From the moment she got on the phone, she demonstrated exceptional customer service. She apologized sincerely and processed my refund without any lecturing or pushback. I explained that it was my first time trying their food and that I didn't think I would return. Terri's goal was clear -- she did not want me to walk away with negative feelings about Mission BBQ. I went to the store to meet her in person, and Ms. Terri was approachable, compassionate, and professional. She listened carefully and went above and beyond to make sure I felt heard and valued as a customer. I'm saying all this to say... I will be back! Ok, so I was starving and completely dived in and didn't have a chance to grab a picture of anything. But, EVERYTHING was delicious. The pulled chicken needed sauce, so I had the Memphis Belle. The smoked wings were sooooo tender and fell right off the bone. Next, I'm not a turkey fan but this was super juicy, tender, and flavorful. Wow. From the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left.. the whole experience was great! We were greeted when we walked in and checked in on by the staff while we ate! EVERY staff member that I encountered while I was in the building was so kind and helpful- it seemed as though everyone enjoyed working there and it felt like a good vibe The food was delicious we each got the 2 meat combo with a drink (I got two sides) I got the baby back ribs and the jalapeño sausage with baked beans and coleslaw They got moist brisket, pulled pork with fried It comes with cornbread They have fresh brewed ice tea sweetened and not and lemonade as well as fountain soda machines. The entire place is decorated in current and former military and service people pictures and memorabilia.. Including a picture of my great grandfather- it's cool to come in and see it all. Hmmm so I was not super WOWED by the food but I was very impressed with the inclusive patriotic decor. First time at a MB and didn't realize that their image/motto is "The American Way". So much American and local history on the walls of this establishment, pretty neat and it definitely can aid in some pretty cool talking points/conversation starters. My Meal - I went with the smoked salmon, mac & cheese, collard greens and a sweet tea. Since it was my first time I let the front end cashier guide to these selections and I was pleasantly pleased with how the salmon came turned out. The mac & cheese was basic with what I think were some bread crumbs on top, the greens were seasoned better than I thought, so I'd rate my meal a 7 out of 10. All the items are a-la-cart and the pricing was pretty much in alignment with what it costs to eat out these days. Loved it! While in Nashville grabbing BBQ a few weeks ago, my 2 Maryland friends said, this reminds me of Mission BBQ back home. *Mental note taken* Finally tried it! I really like it! My friend ordered the pulled chicken sandwich- toasted bun, which she highly recommended, and had it with fries and caramel bread pudding. So I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich, made it a XXL combo which is 2 sides and a foundation drink. I chose the Mac and cheese and baked beans for sides, topped it off with an Arnold Palmer. The XL combo features one side and a fountain drink, but for $1 more why not get the XXL. The sides a la carte range from $2-3 bucks they're made in house so I think you can't go wrong. I sampled all of the BBQ flavors in the carton. The Honey Hot and Memphis BBQ were my favorites. I loved the Mac and cheese and I loved the fries. All of the sides are homemade. I liked the chicken. Liked! I did not like the taste or texture of the bread at all. It was too thick. I ate my sandwich opened faced. I have a feeling I'll love the brisket and ribs so I'm coming back it. The food is great and not as expected either; meat loaf is usually dull and boring but theirs is wonderfully delicious and actually my favorite dish. Their service is first class with them getting you right as you enter the door to making sure your cup is never empty. Mission BBQ Owings Mills for the WIN!!! We ordered a catered meal for the holidays from Mission BBQ and the food, service and every part of this experience was amazing. Our family is large and hosting them is a lot of work but worth it. I decided to allow both my husband and I to spend more time enjoying them this holiday weekend and less on the grill and in the kitchen. But I was worried about whether my guests would be disappointed not to get the usual home cooking that we have always been known for as hosts. I worried for no reason. The food was hot, mouthwatering and tasted better than our home cooking! In addition the service was exceptional. I requested delivery at 2 - the young lady came 20 minutes early and when she noticed my anxiety around the side dishes being enough to feed my family, she offered to go back and get more. The General Manager refused to charge us for the extra! We were all so touched and gratified. I was also so pleased to know that the restaurant is closed on July 4 so that the team can celebrate the country's birthday and allow their families to enjoy this time off.
