Went here for dinner to celebrate our 41 year anniversary. Very good food, clean, nice people. Asked our server to use my phone and take our photo to sent to our children. He then brought use an "on the house dessert"! read more

It was my first time visiting this location and it was great. I ordered a BBQ sandwich with pulled pork. The sandwich was delicious and the atmosphere was welcoming and warm. The employees were friendly and they had the food out in under 10 minutes. If you are in the area, stop by at Mission BBQ. You won't regret it. 10/10. read more

Food- Turkey 10/10, my favorite item on the menu! Moist brisket, always fantastic! Fries, Cornbread, Mac and Cheese....tasty and delicious! The ribs, packed with meat! The rotating specials, creamed corn and cheesy potatoes, always a hit here! Favorite sauces are the smoky mountain bold and texas twang. The staff, quick, friendly, asking if we need anything while seated, and offered to take our trash for us. Top notch! Quiet, plenty of seating, love the Army, Navy, Air Force football uniforms. Always great to see salute to service. The catch! Its not a 5 star review for a reason...Wicked Prices. I understand that smoked meats and the operation are costly and the cost of items are going up. But for 2 meats and to add 2 sides and a drink. Almost 25 dollars is a little much. Catering should be its own seperate review, but we've had them in the past for Catering. Their Catering prices are actually unbeatable compared to their dine in prices! read more

Great experience. Collin was really helpful navigating us through all of their options on their menu. The environment was great. Then the most important part, the food. The BBQ was delicious read more

Absolutely great! the food is amazing, absolutely amazing, beautifully smoked and they have their own BBQ sauce with 6 different kinds. The atmosphere is fun and lively, and the people are gorgeously nice. I would return here every day of the week if I could. They serve me the best carnivore meal I've had in a long time.. and I'd love to add that Ms. Cheyenne helped my husband and I with with plenty of information about how it was cooked in the sauces and kept us happy during our meal. Her attitude was joyful and I really appreciated her. read more

Excellent service here. I felt very welcome. It smelled nicer inside. I had never been to a Mission BBQ before. The woman taking my order took the time to explain the menu. There was no wait. The food was hot. You could watch them preparing the food. The cornbread was really good. There's a selection of 6 sauces, some where spicy. The service was excellent.Chris walked around and kept asking everyone how they were enjoying their meal. read more

Cashier wasn't as friendly as one would expect with a customer service job. There was plenty of tables available to sit and eat . Clean tables; clean bathroom. Food was served in a reasonable time. Hot, delicious, full of flavor. The $14 black plate special is a little pricey for a baked potatoes with brisket but I ate half and had the rest for dinner. Not a bad lunch. I'd try this place again. read more

Hospitality and service is excellent. I had a minor issue with one of my meals but they were happy to fix it. Highly recommend this establishment. Their moist brisket is one of my favorites, very tender and juicy. I will definitely keep on coming back to this place. read more

I have been to this Mission BBQ a few times now and I consistently had great experiences. The staff are welcoming, helpful and patient. The food is pretty delicious and served hot. I lived in the south for a few years and got to try tons of great BBQ. This BBQ, even though it's fast food, is delicious and stacks up to others I've tasted. The service is on point and, as a veteran, I really enjoy seeing pictures on the walls of my brothers and sisters in arms. PRO TIPS: - Ask for the white sauce - Get the pulled pork NC style (this is when coleslaw is added on the sandwich. Not exclusive to NC, but that's how Mission calls it) read more

Good solid BBQ with a variety of sauce flavors. The portion sizes seem to have gotten smaller as prices have increased, which makes it less of a value. But the flavors are excellent. read more

Them first time I went to Mission BBQ,it was hot and everything was good. This was my 2nd time there,.First of all they forgot about me.I waited for awhile. Finally I asked about my food No I'm sorry, what can we do for you.The beans, and coleslaw were not that good.I tasted a lot of salt.I took my son there telling him how good it was,and it didn't cut it this time You have to be more consistent. They were"nt that busy ,not packed. So I have no idea what the problem was .I don't think I"ll go back to soon. read more

Scrumptious moist brisket -- a "carnivore's" dream! So flavorful, tender, satisfying. We also tried the smoked ribeye -- it was very tasty with the espresso rub & smoke flavor. (Parts were a little dryer - but overall very tasty). Fun atmosphere. Love the honoring of veterans. Really like the outdoor seating with picnic tables and umbrellas. Welcoming, efficient service at the ordering counter. Attentive, friendly staff constantly keeping the restaurant clean. read more

I have eaten at the Lancaster and York locations and both were consistently good. Great service, great tasting food, wonderful patriotism, clean restaurant. The York location ran out of chopped brisket and had to sub sliced brisket - I was given a side of delicious Mac and cheese because of the inconvenience. Very thoughtful. I would highly recommend! read more

I have to say I'm very impressed with eating here. I get a pound of lean brisket, lots of cornbread, and some sides sometimes. I'm still trying to figure out the right sauce for myself. I had an issue just one where I ordered the lean, and I brought it home without checking it out, and it wasn't lean. I spoke to Scott, who ended up being the director, and he made sure I was well taken care of and made sure that I didn't feel like I lost money and a nights meal. So even without that said, the lean and cornbread is the best! What's your favorite sauce and side? I haven't tried them all yet. I definitely will be back and recommend it. I'd say if it's your first time, eat inside because then you can try all of the sauces and find out your favorite one read more

we had an appointment today for mission bbq to cater our wedding. we met with Ava at the Lancaster location and she was beyond amazing. she was so knowledgable, kind, and understanding! highly recommend! read more

Most disappointing brisket I've ever had. $15 for a half pound of brisket but they weight it with the container so you lose about half an ounce. The only side is a 2 inch square of dry cornbread. It smells like spam and tastes like old beef. Clearly the mission is to rip people off. Anyone who says this is good has never had good BBQ. read more

I visited Mission BBQ on Monday, Nov 7th at about 6pm with a party of three. I was the only newbie in the group, and I enjoyed my visit very much. It was not that busy on a warm Monday evening. You do order at the counter here, and they will call your name when it is ready. The staff was friendly and willing to be quite helpful. The speed of service was nice, and the best part is the six sauces on every table. They were all delicious; however, I favored two of them more than the others. I ordered the 2 meat sampler with the Brisket and the Jalapeno/Cheese Sausage. It came with a side of cornbread. I also ordered a side of the seasonal mashed sweet potatoes. Everything I had was excellent, and I considered the prices reasonable for what you received. A good experience, and I would return again. read more

Food was fantastic and served super quickly by super friendly staff. Restaurant was clean and the GM was very friendly.

Just opened recently. At lunch we tried the pulled pork, briskett, sausage (not hot), french fries, and baked beans on a platter. The food came out fresh, hot and juicy. Six sauces to choose from plus vinegar on you table. Lemonade, unsweetened or sweet tea by soda fountain. Friendly staff, clean open seating area restaurant. Busy, at mealtimes so get there before the rush. Busperson extremely feindly and helpful. Go check it out. read more

If you want some of the BEST BBQ on the Fruitville Pike, stop by this Mission BBQ! All the staff were really polite and welcoming. I got a 'Hello Sir' as soon as I walked in which is matched by few other establishments. The meat was just so full of flavor I didn't even need to use any of the provided BBQ sauces. (Though I did. because they only add the the Awesomeness) The sweet tea is just right with sweetness and the cornbread wasn't dry at all with the Mac-N-Cheese being baked to perfection. Highly recommend, take time to stop by and you'll not be disappointed. read more

Had dinner there tonight. At 4:45 they ran out of Mac and cheese and corn bread. How can you run out of these items at dinner time??? Gave us a dry white roll in place of the corn bread. Really gonna think twice about going there again the last few times have not been good. read more

Had lunch at Mission today. I had eaten there previously and at a Mission BBQ in New Jersey. I was shocked at the increase in prices and the quality just wasn't what it used to be. $41.00 for 2 for lunch! The initial time I ate at a Mission servicemen (ex & retirees) along with emergency workers got a small discount. Not any more. Mission BBQ, in my book, has has now gone to the same category as 2 Guys! Too darn expensive to go to again! read more

We LOVE this restaurant. The food is amazing. Their Mac and cheese is awesome! I don't normally care too much for corn bread, but I like theirs! It's got a little sweetness to it. The atmosphere is pretty cool. It's interesting to look around and seeing all the patches from local places and not local places. The staff are friendly and helpful. We never have to wait long for our food. I would DEFINITELY recommend this restaurant! read more

Love their ribs and the brisket, service was fast and staff were nice. we just finished paying the order and our food was already waiting to be picked up. First time to ever eat here. The food was amazing the service was excellent and the Ambiance was amazing.

Everything was very salty. I get it, smoked bbq, but the beans, collard greens, complimentary fries were crazy loaded with salt...and I love salt. I had to rinse the meat and greens before we ate them. Good flavor, just chill with the seasoning. read more

It was just OK. Luckily, it was on the company dime otherwise I would have been disappointed. The pastrami was mostly fat and the brisket was dry. The jalapeño cheese sausage was good and so were the sauces. read more

Mission BBQ is a chain but a damn good one. I have had a lot of BBQ in my years and Mission really holds up and is priced right. I got the pulled pork sandwich NC Style (has coleslaw on it) and it was huge and delicious! The side of mac and cheese was very good too. I liked it so much, it reminded me to go visit the one close me (I live in Maryland where the chain started). read more

OMG! Our first time, getting ready to leave with our takeout and didn't realize that the sauce was included. The lady cleaning tables heard us and offered to get us sauce. I came in for my first time the other day and have never been so amazed at the service. Jay said she had just started working there and i was in shock how incredible her customer service skills were. First time eating at Mission BBQ tonight and it definitely wont be the last. John, the manager is beyond generous and wants to make sure you have the best experience at his restaurant. Mission BBQ might be a chain restaurant but it sure has a mom & pop feel especially when you are provided with the hospitality that John made sure I had this evening. On top of all that, the food was really good! So much to choose from. The brisket and mac & cheese were definitely my favorite. I also love a restaurant where the food is good and they do good too! I love that they give back to our Veterans & those who have served our country. read more

3 stars food was great. I got the pulled Pork Bbq and corn bread was very good was fresh, Mac and cheese was very cheesey with light bread crumbs. They are getting 3 stars because they make people stand up at 12:00pm to sing the national anthem. That should not be forced at a restaurant with other peoples beliefs and religions. Next time I'm definitely getting take out! I just find it rude how they force that on people at local restaurants!!!! Especially what's been going on in this world. My family members were in the service but making a whole restaurant stand up for the national anthem is giving off hitler vibes. I was the only one sitting down while they played the song i felt very uncomfortable eating just know when you come here before 12pm you are gonna be forced to stand to sing the pledge of allegiance! read more
