Absolutely great! the food is amazing, absolutely amazing, beautifully smoked and they have their own BBQ sauce with 6 different kinds. The atmosphere is fun and lively, and the people are gorgeously nice. I would return here every day of the week if I could. They serve me the best carnivore meal I've had in a long time.. and I'd love to add that Ms. Cheyenne helped my husband and I with with plenty of information about how it was cooked in the sauces and kept us happy during our meal. The rotating specials, creamed corn and cheesy potatoes, always a hit here! Favorite sauces are the smoky mountain bold and texas twang. Cashier wasn't as friendly as one would expect with a customer service job. There was plenty of tables available to sit and eat . Clean tables; clean bathroom. Food was served in a reasonable time. Hot, delicious, full of flavor. The $14 black plate special is a little pricey for a baked potatoes with brisket but I ate half and had the rest for dinner. Not a bad lunch. Them first time I went to Mission BBQ,it was hot and everything was good. This was my 2nd time there,.First of all they forgot about me.I waited for awhile. Scrumptious moist brisket -- a "carnivore's" dream! So flavorful, tender, satisfying. We also tried the smoked ribeye -- it was very tasty with the espresso rub & smoke flavor. I have eaten at the Lancaster and York locations and both were consistently good. Great service, great tasting food, wonderful patriotism, clean restaurant. The York location ran out of chopped brisket and had to sub sliced brisket - I was given a side of delicious Mac and cheese because of the inconvenience. Very thoughtful. I have to say I'm very impressed with eating here. I get a pound of lean brisket, lots of cornbread, and some sides sometimes. I'm still trying to figure out the right sauce for myself. I had an issue just one where I ordered the lean, and I brought it home without checking it out, and it wasn't lean. I spoke to Scott, who ended up being the director, and he made sure I was well taken care of and made sure that I didn't feel like I lost money and a nights meal. So even without that said, the lean and cornbread is the best! What's your favorite sauce and side? I haven't tried them all yet. I definitely will be back and recommend it. I'd say if it's your first time, eat inside because then you can try all of the sauces and find out your favorite one read more

Most disappointing brisket I've ever had. $15 for a half pound of brisket but they weight it with the container so you lose about half an ounce. The only side is a 2 inch square of dry cornbread. It smells like spam and tastes like old beef. Clearly the mission is to rip people off. Anyone who says this is good has never had good BBQ. read more

I visited Mission BBQ on Monday, Nov 7th at about 6pm with a party of three. I was the only newbie in the group, and I enjoyed my visit very much. It was not that busy on a warm Monday evening. You do order at the counter here, and they will call your name when it is ready. The staff was friendly and willing to be quite helpful. The speed of service was nice, and the best part is the six sauces on every table. They were all delicious; however, I favored two of them more than the others. I ordered the 2 meat sampler with the Brisket and the Jalapeno/Cheese Sausage. It came with a side of cornbread. I also ordered a side of the seasonal mashed sweet potatoes. Everything I had was excellent, and I considered the prices reasonable for what you received. A good experience, and I would return again. read more

If you want some of the BEST BBQ on the Fruitville Pike, stop by this Mission BBQ! All the staff were really polite and welcoming. I got a 'Hello Sir' as soon as I walked in which is matched by few other establishments. The meat was just so full of flavor I didn't even need to use any of the provided BBQ sauces. (Though I did. because they only add the the Awesomeness) The sweet tea is just right with sweetness and the cornbread wasn't dry at all with the Mac-N-Cheese being baked to perfection. Had lunch at Mission today. I had eaten there previously and at a Mission BBQ in New Jersey. I was shocked at the increase in prices and the quality just wasn't what it used to be. $41.00 for 2 for lunch! The initial time I ate at a Mission servicemen (ex & retirees) along with emergency workers got a small discount. Not any more. Mission BBQ, in my book, has has now gone to the same category as 2 Guys! Too darn expensive to go to again! read more

We LOVE this restaurant. The food is amazing. Their Mac and cheese is awesome! I don't normally care too much for corn bread, but I like theirs! It's got a little sweetness to it. We visited Mission BBQ at Lancaster, PA twice this month. Jan. 14 & Jan. 20, 2024. We encountered nothing but great food, great service, and great atmosphere. Love their ribs and the brisket, service was fast and staff were nice. we just finished paying the order and our food was already waiting to be picked up. Im not sure if it was the manager but someone came to check how was our food and if we enjoyed it and if theres any else we need. And we love the atmosphere of the place. Mission BBQ might be a chain restaurant but it sure has a mom & pop feel especially when you are provided with the hospitality that John made sure I had this evening. 3 stars food was great. I got the pulled Pork Bbq and corn bread was very good was fresh, Mac and cheese was very cheesey with light bread crumbs. They are getting 3 stars because they make people stand up at 12:00pm to sing the national anthem. That should not be forced at a restaurant with other peoples beliefs and religions. Next time I'm definitely getting take out! I just find it rude how they force that on people at local restaurants!!!! Especially what's been going on in this world. My family members were in the service but making a whole restaurant stand up for the national anthem is giving off hitler vibes. I was the only one sitting down while they played the song i felt very uncomfortable eating just know when you come here before 12pm you are gonna be forced to stand to sing the pledge of allegiance! read more
