The coleslaw was okay but needed more mayo for flavor. I ordered the pulled pork, brisket and pulled chicken sampler. Very tasty and delicious. The room is a bit chilly and I had to go outside to warm up a couple of times. They have Pepsi products which I personally don't like - oh well! It was my first time trying Mission BBQ tonight and I did a pickup order for dinner. The resturant was cozy, brightly lit, and clean. The employees were helpful and nice when I picked up my order. I tried a 3 meat sampler with moist-cut brisket, 2 piece ribs, and sausage with fries and cornbread. The brisket was smoky, tender, and not too fatty. It was my favorite meat. Ribs and sausage were also fresh, tender, and smoky. The fries were fresh with a smoky taste and aroma. Cornbread was soft and fresh. I requested spicy bbq sauce and received that along with a sweet bbq sauce. Both sauces went perfectly with the bbq. I enjoyed the bbq and will recommend it to others. Ordered the 3 meat platter and two sides to share, it was mediocre at best. The food's temperature was the first thing I noticed; it was all either cold or barely warm, which is disappointing for creamy potatoes and meats. The "moist brisket" was one of the meats I selected, but it was anything but and had the texture of roast. Also, got the pulled pork and chicken which were nothing to brag about. They have 20k-30k smokers and the meats are dry and overcooked, so maybe its the person in charge of the smokers that's overcooking the meats? I'm not sure, but in my experience, properly cooked meat doesn't need to be covered in sauce, which is how I found it to be most palatable. All in all, I wouldn't go back. read more

First time. Simple menu. Wife & I both had a pulled pork sandwich, corn casserole, slaw & fries. The pork was very good. Seasoned, not sauced but still moist. Gave us the chance to try every type of sauce available. Corn casserole was good. Like something you'd eat at gma's on a Sunday. Slaw was ok. Needs more sweet. Fries are fries but with the sauces and special mustard, yea, fries were gone. Carolina vinegar at the table along with a six pack of different bbq sauces. All of which were very good. The price. Finally tried it out. The good: the brisket was on point. Got it moist and that it was. Not overly fatty with great bark. Pulled pork and Mac and cheese were good too. M&C had a nice crust on it. They have a plethora of sauces to try which is always great. The not so good: the sausage ..while it had really good flavor it was riddled with bone or cartilage or something hard. Every other bite. It seems every time I drive by Mission barbecue the place is always busy. I had to try it for myself as I love barbecue and there are definitely some hit or miss places in Vegas. Mission barbecue is actually a chain barbecue restaurant with several places all across the United States. The first thing I noticed right off the bat is the high level of customer service in the restaurant. All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They ensure you have a good experience while dining there. As for the food I wasn't blown away. The prices seem to be extremely expensive for very small cuts of meat and the sides didn't really have much flavor. I went with the two meat combo and got brisket and a side of ribs along with mac & cheese and cornbread. The ribs were cook cooked well maybe a little bit on the tougher side and the brisket was good but the portion was so small. It almost wasn't worth it. The mac & cheese lacked flavor and so did the cornbread. Overall a decent barbecue place but not one that I would go out of my way to eat again. read more

I was excited to hear that Mission BBQ was coming to the Henderson area. I had been looking forward to trying it ever since I saw the location being remodeled in preparation for opening. Once they opened, I decided to wait a few months before visiting to avoid the initial crowds. Yesterday, I finally stopped by. The interior is tastefully decorated with photographs honoring U.S. military, police, and first responders -- a clear reflection of the owner's and management's strong sense of patriotism, which I truly appreciate. I ordered the Smoked Cheeseburger, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the quality of the food I received. The photos I took speak for themselves. I picked up my order immediately when my name was called. However, the American cheese was dried and appeared as though it had been sitting out. The bun was cold and dry. The burger came with just a small piece of lettuce, a single pickle slice, and a small tomato slice -- which still had the dark-colored stem end attached. I honestly can't imagine why anyone would serve a tomato like that. While I hope this was just an isolated incident, my first experience left me with a bad impression and an even worse taste in my mouth.
