    "Lean" brisket
    Mickey B.

We visited Mission BBQ Clermont on April 8 to by 2 pounds of lean sliced brisket so I could make brisket enchiladas to bring into work for a pot luck lunch the next day. We also decided to order dinner for dine in while we were there and I ordered a cheeseburger (first time trying there) which was so very tasty, thick and smoky and we ordered a turkey dinner plate with two sides. The turkey is always good. We have never ever had any disappointments at any Mission BBQ locations until this experience. I didn't think I would need to inspect the brisket so I didn't until we got home as I was preparing to make enchiladas. If this was what they consider "lean" brisket, I would hate to see what their "moist" brisket looks like. Half of every slice of brisket was fat that had to be cut off and discarded. I feel like I was cheated on meat. Now I know that brisket often has a little fat, but half of every slice? Very disappointing.

Our family really enjoyed our meal at Misson. I'm not a huge BBQ guy but these guys might change that. I haven't tried any of the pork cuz I can't turn down good roast beef. And it was G-O-O-D. I'll be back

My husband and I are new to Florida from Las Vegas and are always looking for a good BBQ spot, and Mission BBQ did not disappoint us at all! We decided to eat in (which we so rarely do), and it was an incredible experience. This is the first place we have eaten out at since coming to Clermont and it had painted a huge expectation of both customer service and quality food for us from now on. Everything was delicious, and the dining staff asked us about our food and if we had been there prior, and since it was our first time they gave us each a complimentary desert, and that was also delicious! Thank you, Mission BBQ, for giving us an astounding welcome to our new home with excellent food and hospitality!

On a friend's suggestion, we drove out to Clermont to try Mission BBQ. And yes, it is very good. As a Central Texas transplant, Mission is very good, but not in the elite class. It definitely is worth a return. Get there early, it is busy with a loyal following. We tried the sliced beef sandwich and two meat with sliced beef and pork ribs. The beef had a good flavor and the rubs were fall off the bone good. Sides passed the test. Mission is probably the best of the chains, certainly better than 4 Rivers, Sonny's and uch, Dickey's.

Visited Mission BBQ in Clermont today and really loved the atmosphere and the service. Has the Brisket (lean) and the Killer Collards. The brisket was tender and tasty. I really enjoyed the collards also!! I've never had them with tomato and I think I'm going to add that to my personal recipe.

The bbq was horrific. Dry and extremely salty. I asked for moist. See pic. I really wanted it to be like the one in Tampa but no sorry

The tacos did not disappoint. The meat was seasoned and cooked nicely. The tacos were flavorful. My husband had the hamburger and he said that it was good. You can get two sides and a drink for an additional $6.50. Which makes it perfect for sharing. We picked potato salad and collard greens. The collards would be better if cooked with some smokey meat and pepper vinegar. We had excellent service from start to finish. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. Two different rooms you can sit in. The only downside was the noise level. Between the volume of the music and the people playing connect four outside it was a little loud. I will keep Black Bear Kitchen on my list to visit again.

It was good and had good flavor. The brisket actually tasted like roast beef instead of smoked brisket... We were just expecting more of a brisket taste instead. We both loved the other ingredients on the tacos and thought it was an excellent choice. We thought about eating outside but while I was sitting there waiting for my wife to come back out with our lunch I noticed the music coming from the Black Bear was competing with the Tap Room business outdoor seating area speakers as well. Both were loud and playing two different songs and different genres! Very annoying and not enjoyable for outside seating. At least be playing the same music! We decided to eat inside instead. Restaurant was clean.

The tenders were juicy, flavorful, and had a great grilled taste with just the right amount of heat. The Honey BBQ sauce paired perfectly with them. Overall I was fairly impressed with the quality of the food and the overall value you get here for a steak dinner. You can see the various cuts of steaks on display as you walk into the restaurant and it gives you a fairly good idea as to how good the cut of meat is which is probably a choice cut with nice marbling. For my first meal here, I ended up ordering a 12 ounce cut of ribeye steak along with a side of fries and green beans. The steak was cooked to perfection to a medium doneness as I had ordered and had a good flavor albeit a tad on the tough side but overall a good steak. Sides were fairly pedestrian, but complemented the steak nicely. I ended up washing my meal down with a couple of their happy hour margaritas which were quite tasty, very reasonably priced, albeit a tad on the light side when it comes to the amount of tequila they put in their drink. If you're willing to pay a couple extra dollars they will give you a shot of tequila on the side to add your margarita as a note. Relative to the restaurant itself and the staff, I have always liked the Texas Roadhouse decor and neon signs that adorn this chain restaurant where it definitely adds a lot to the overall dining experience. Staff was very friendly with excellent follow up throughout which was another plus. Overall this chain really hits it out of the park where you would be hard pressed to find another steakhouse that offers this quality at such a great value. A nice steak at a reasonable price is hard to beat these days.
