I don't usually leave negative reviews, but my experience at Brighton Laundry was unacceptable…read more While the facility itself is clean, the staff behavior completely overshadows that. I've been to this laundromat many times and the staff attitude is generally rude, however that does not bother me as everyone has their own things going on. However the latest instance is just completely unacceptable. An employee named James was openly rude and discriminatory toward a deaf customer -- my mother. He spoke to her from behind, then snapped and rolled his eyes when she didn't respond--despite the obvious reason being that she couldn't hear him. Instead of showing basic understanding, he escalated the situation with unnecessary attitude. On top of that, they shut off the lights and force customers out right at 8:50, even if machines are still running--despite starting them well before the final call. We were rushed out mid-process, which is incredibly frustrating especially when we just spent $100 worth of laundry at this facility. Most laundromat's I've been to in the past at least let you stay a few mins past close if you have less than 10 mins left on the dryer. To make things worse, James continued yelling at us in the parking lot after we called out his behavior toward the deaf customer. No one should be treated that way. Clean space or not, the staff's attitude is unacceptable. I would not recommend supporting a business that treats customers like this.

I just arrived home in Connecticut after another day of visiting my son at Boston College…read more Fortunately, for him, my visits include a trip to Brighton Laundry and Dry Cleaning. The staff is so helpful. I have dropped off my son's suit and they had it dry cleaned overnight. Today, I finished three weeks of his laundry in under two hours. If you're looking for a place to do laundry near Boston College, this is the place to go.

Holly Cleaners - Before and after: Wedding dress damaged by Holly Cleaners

Worst Dry Cleaning Experience Ever - Avoid Holly Cleaners at All Costs!…read more I've been a loyal customer at Holly Cleaners for many years, but after my latest nightmare of an experience, I'm done forever. I brought in my expensive jacket for cleaning and waited a ridiculous THREE WEEKS for it to be ready. When I finally picked it up, the jacket wasn't cleaned at all--it came back just as dirty as when I dropped it off! If I hadn't inspected it right there on the spot, I'm convinced they would've gaslighted me and called me a liar for complaining. I was not able to receive my jacket back until I paid them $73. That's $73 for keeping my coat for 3 weeks. What a deal! But the real kicker was the manager, Angus. This guy was beyond rude--arrogant, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Instead of apologizing or offering a refund, he had the audacity to suggest sending it out AGAIN to the same third-party service that botched it the first time. And get this: he actually expected me to THANK HIM for not charging me a second time! As if that's some grand gesture of goodwill. He tried to spin the whole mess as my fault for not understanding their shady outsourcing practices, but hello--it's THEIR responsibility to ensure the job gets done right, not mine! Holly Cleaners clearly doesn't value long-time customers or quality service. Save your time, money, and sanity--go anywhere else. Zero stars if I could give it!

I waited a little over a year to have my wedding dress cleaned (which I learned is pretty early)…read moreThe bottom of my dress was so dirty!! I walked through town in it on my wedding day and was so nervous they wouldn't be able to get all the dirt and marks out. I called before going in and spoke with Angus who specializes in working with the bridal cleaning team. Angus is the best. When I came in he looked at the dress with me so we could both point out marks. He then walked me through their extensive process as well as timeline. The best part is they do not send out the dresses to be cleaned. Everything stays on site. They only send it off site if it is being preserved. I wasn't ready to do that just 10/10 and beyond experience. I also really appreciated them staying in constant contact with me through the process. I've now started taking my more delicate pieces and I have been just as happy I was with my dress.

I used to have good experiences at this business, but unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant and…read moreoffensive encounter with the owner recently. I came in simply to see if the zipper on my dress could be repaired. Instead of assessing the damage professionally, the owner decided to give me an unsolicited lecture on how to properly put on a dress-claiming the zipper was broken because I didn't pull it up "the right way." I tried to explain that I am a professional who has worn and handled countless gowns throughout my career. I am more than familiar with how to put on a dress. On top of that, he suggested putting a heavy-duty jacket-style zipper on a delicate, multi-layered ballroom gown worth thousands. That's absurd-imagine putting a chunky zipper on a lace wedding dress. He clearly didn't understand the type of garment I brought in. Just take a look at how the owner responds to customers who leave low ratings-rather than trying to resolve the issue, he gets defensive and blames the client. There's a clear pattern: if an alteration isn't done well, somehow it's always the customer's fault. Too short? Your fault. Uneven? Your fault. In my case, I brought in a dress with a broken zipper, and apparently, that was also my fault-because I didn't know how to zip it up properly. Ridiculous. I did not come in for a lesson-I came in for a repair. I found his attitude unnecessarily rude, patronizing, and completely unprofessional. I left feeling disrespected and uncomfortable, and I absolutely will not be returning and would NEVER recommend this business to anyone.

Good repairs and very friendly service. They are timely and reassuring. The owner also told me that…read moretwo old coats could be repaired, but the damage was so great that I should buy new ones. That's retail honesty. I like that. I left my tie to remove a very hard spot, which is totally gone now. And the buttons on the shirts they put on are tight. Thank you.
