I walked by this food truck numerous times and their cooking smells amazing! I stopped by one afternoon and ordered the chicken Pad Thai as they didn't have the shrimp Pad Thai. I love the glass noodles they use. It is not your typical rice noodles but rather mung bean noodles so it is chewier and glossier looking. The stir fry on its own was very fiery so what this means is they use super high heat to cook the noodles. I haven't tried any other dishes but would love to check out their curry options.

The best Thai food on wheels! Lek, the owner, and her staff are so warm and friendly. The food is absolutely delicious and you cannot go wrong with any of them. My go-to is the pad thai. The portion is generous and it has a very good balance of sweet, sour, salty, just the way I like it. The noodle has the good texture and fresh beansprouts and lime wedge to add more crunch and freshness to the dish. My other go-to is the red pineapple curry. It was delicious red curry and you got the crunch from the bamboo shoots, red bell pepper, and green beans. For a $10/dish, this is a steal for a very good Thai food.

This place used to be my go-to for lunch at work when they were in the area. However ever since they came back from the holidays, the quality of the food has deteriorated. The egg is extremely over cooked. The basil chicken is now overly saucy with some brown sauce and it makes the entire dish extremely salty!! The rice is crunchy and undercooked. I don't know if they changed chefs but this is not the Miss Siam I remember.

The Penang curry. One of my favourites.

The Miss Siam Thai food truck can be found on W. Broadway and Birch at least twice a week. I've pretty much tried everything on their menu. My particular favourites are the Penang curry, pad Thai noodle, and the red and green curries. They all are priced at ten bucks. The value here is the quality and authenticity of the food. The staff are very friendly. My tip is that you can call them to place an order. Within 8 minutes or less you just go there to pay and pick up your food.

There was an announcement at work that this food truck was going to be in the area so we stopped by for our lunch. I ordered the basil chicken and it didn't take too long to get my food. The chicken and sauce were very tasty - with that said, it was on the spicy side. My friends got the pad thai and the citrus chicken and theirs was not spicy at all. They should maybe put the spicy factor beside each dish name cause I wish I could have tried my friends' dishes but my mouth was on fire at that point. All in all, it was a good dish - just make sure you have something to wash it down with (milkshake, perhaps?).

I am a Thai but i have never found any Amazing Pad Thai like this before. So Pad Thai Miss Siam is fresh and super good!

    * The Definition of Torpedo *…read more Urban Dictionary has multiple definitions or "Torpedo": - To betray, backstab, diss, or punk someone with the intent of causing harm to their reputation. - When objects or people look beautiful from far away, but dangerous or ugly up close. - A long turd. The menu sounded promising (although overpriced for a food truck) with some nice classic sandwiches on offer. I ordered the "mumia" ($12) - which I have to assume is a play on Mumia Abu-Jamal who is from Philadelphia, home of the cheesesteak? Anyhoo... The description was very cheesesteak like with sirloin beef, pepperjack cheese, sauteed onions and peppers. The addition of garlic aioli moved away from the classic as did the usage of pepperjack instead of provolone. When I unwrapped the sandwich, I was torpedoed with an excessive amount of a watery oily substance dripping all over the place. It got all over everything - not in a good way. Biting into the sandwich was the next torpedoing. The bread was stale. I don't mean day old. I mean stale. Next torpedo: the beef was chewy, gristly, and very oily. The peppers were the best part - but they too were overly oily. Basically each bite gave you a mouthful of stale bread, a piece of oily gristle flavoured by an oily pepper and a drippy oily substance (perhaps a broken aioli?). I couldn't eat the bread. Tried picking off the meat and veggies to eat, but gave up as they were too awful on their own. Photos: http://www.yelp.ca/biz_photos/tasty-torpedo-vancouver?select=aorGigi_39ldUheXPUynsQ#aorGigi_39ldUheXPUynsQ and http://www.yelp.ca/biz_photos/tasty-torpedo-vancouver?select=i8BEF8GCeNEZMql6nK1uYA#i8BEF8GCeNEZMql6nK1uYA So I'm left concluding that I was served an overpriced torpedo. In other words, I feel torpedoed that this food truck is a torpedo that serves torpedos!

There was a small line when I approached the truck initially but their service was quick giving customers their sandwich within about 2-4 minutes of order, not entirely sure what the standard is for food trucks but for me that's good. The lady up front taking the orders was very friendly and was happy to help answer our questions. They only offered a few options but what I had to try was the jerk chicken sandwich as I had stopped a girl just minutes before and attempted to waft hers. Again service was fairly quick and I receive my sandwich within a few minutes. I don't think the picture I've posted will do it any justice but this baby was a beauty. The bun tasted quite fresh and almost melted in my mouth, the chicken and enough spice and flavour and the rest was just bomb. It is quite filling I found which is what you're looking for, good bang for buck. Definitely gonna track these down every time I'm downtown. Amazing experience for my taste buds.

The burger was great but the flavor of the beef was definitely a bit lacking.
