    Lifting already

I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately the reviewers are right. I went with a friend for a manicure. The staff was friendly. One woman was new and the owner yelled at her a few times which I felt was unprofessional. But since she was new she was making mistakes. Her work was never checked at the end and my friends nails looked bad - uneven, smudged. My nails looked great but it hasn't been even 2 weeks and my dip manicure is lifting. Some of my French tip lines are uneven. And honestly - both my friend and I had sore fingertips when we left. I had a few cuts on mine and she did too. Her manicure was painful and she made the woman stop. My fingertips were red and sore for 2 days. It's unfortunate bc you want to be pampered when you get a service like this. There's no ambiance at all. A fish tank, bright lights, no plants or anything and sort of run down. All said and done it was a big disappointment.

I was referred here by a friend after spending the last two years looking for a manicurist and failing repeatedly. I was blown away by Christina's attention to detail and precision. I am very type A and OCD about my nails and cuticles and she far surpassed my expectations!! Christina is very kind and understanding to your nails needs. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you to give this place a try.

I made an appointment for pedicures with my friend and had a decent experience getting our toes done, though one of my toes has chipped less than a few days later. We asked if our nail technicians had time to do our finger nails as well, they obliged. My friend was later ignored by her tech and never got her manicure. My tech rushed through my manicure and left me with patches and polish on my skin. I asked her to clean up the polish and I was shocked to have her try to scrape the polish off of my finger with her nails... harsh, painful and unsanitary. They were generally unfriendly and I would not recommend Miss Nails to a friend.

quick professional and friendly customer service. Shipping is a bit slow but value and quality make up for it.

A couple months ago, I made an appointment through their website during business hours. When I came at the appointed time, the door was locked. I called and someone picked up and told me she was sick and to make an appointment for a different day, even though my initial appointment had been placed and I had gotten a confirmation text. I didn't even get a discount for coming on a different day after driving to their shop initially, and finding them closed during business hours and with a scheduled appointment. This week, I received a birthday text to get $10 off my next visit. I had gotten my nails done a week ago and they were already chipped but I figured I would just come get them done again instead of asking for them to be redone, since there was a decent discount. The same person who had done my nails last week, which chipped, did my nails this time. The job was rushed and I had to ask my nail person to clean up the edges before leaving because he wanted to send me out with paint still on my skin around the nails on both hands. This poor service was already concerning. When I got to the cash register I showed them the $10 off text and they told me it was only for certain services so they wouldn't give me the discount, even though none of that was stated in the text. I asked them if they would send out these stipulations with their texts in the future because otherwise it's misleading. They told me no. I still paid them and tipped decently even though I honestly felt like giving them no tip with how bad the service was. This was more a reflection of me trying to bring my own emotions under control and be a better person, than any reflection of their service which was very poor. But I no longer plan to come to them in the future. The problem isn't just the service...it's the refusal to improve communication even after I've spoken with them about it and given them multiple chances to improve. Update: it's been less than 24 hours and my nails are already chipped again. The excuse is that it's regular polish. I've had my nails done with regular polish by other nail salons and it lasts more than a day. Making excuses for poor work and doing nothing to improve, is unacceptable in my opinion.

But Adriane actually listens and has the skill to back it up! She takes the time to look at any inspo photos and gives thoughtful suggestions that work with your hair type and texture. She's super detail-oriented (makes sense since she has a background in architecture!), but still efficient. I never feel rushed, and the final result is always clean, precise, and exactly what I want/am looking for! She also gives helpful styling tips and uses great-smelling products that actually work! The vibe in the salon is calm and welcoming, and Adriane herself is really easy to talk to. I also appreciate that Ceremony is a no-tip salon, pricing is straightforward, and honestly, she's so good that I wish I could tip her extra! If you're looking for a stylist who's skilled, kind, and genuinely cares about the end result, I highly recommend her! I don't care where I end up living, I'll keep coming back to Adriane for my cuts! (I wanted to post the incredible results from the first time I went but please ignore the badly photoshopped mask, I looked busted LOL)
