Without hesitation, Christina matched my previous tint and shape. She gently and hygienically removed my gel, reshaped my nails, then carefully applied the gel. I was a walk in but they accommodated me well. I got a gel manicure. Technician was very nice and I really enjoyed my visit. Affordable which is a plus. It's a smaller shop. No frills. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately the reviewers are right. I went with a friend for a manicure. The staff was friendly. One woman was new and the owner yelled at her a few times which I felt was unprofessional. But since she was new she was making mistakes. Her work was never checked at the end and my friends nails looked bad - uneven, smudged. My nails looked great but it hasn't been even 2 weeks and my dip manicure is lifting. Some of my French tip lines are uneven. And honestly - both my friend and I had sore fingertips when we left. I had a few cuts on mine and she did too. Her manicure was painful and she made the woman stop. My fingertips were red and sore for 2 days. It's unfortunate bc you want to be pampered when you get a service like this. There's no ambiance at all. A fish tank, bright lights, no plants or anything and sort of run down. All said and done it was a big disappointment. read more

I was fearful of going here because of previous bad reviews but as others I thought I would give this place the benefit of the doubt. I requested a gel manicure for a special event I was leaving town for. The female owner wasn't very friendly at all (red flag) but I tipped her anyway. The gel manicure didn't even last five days (my evening gala was on the 6th day) before it was all peeling off, I had to cut my nails down completely to get rid of the rest of it and my nails looked awful with the white streak marks all over them. I just returned to complain. They said they would give me half my money back because I got a manicure, but I showed them what my "manicure" looked like for the event (very unsightly). I made an appointment for pedicures with my friend and had a decent experience getting our toes done, though one of my toes has chipped less than a few days later. We asked if our nail technicians had time to do our finger nails as well, they obliged. My friend was later ignored by her tech and never got her manicure. My tech rushed through my manicure and left me with patches and polish on my skin. I asked her to clean up the polish and I was shocked to have her try to scrape the polish off of my finger with her nails... harsh, painful and unsanitary. I've been coming here for a few years and I would not go anywhere else. my nails are perfect every time and I look forward to coming.

This place is so close to my house and I've been a few times and generally been pleased -- but yesterday was awful. I started with a pedicure which was actually painful. The woman doing my pedi trimmed two of the nails on my left foot wayyyy too short -- into the nail bed. I verbally said "owww" and "that stings" several times. She didn't even look up at me or acknowledge anything. Now my foot is throbbing and I'm worried that she's put me at risk for ingrown nails or infection. I don't know the nail techs name, but I'll go to my regular place in Durham from now on to save myself the pain. read more

I'm never going here again! The lady that "helped" me should be reminded that she's in customer service and that interactions should start with a "hello, how are you?". After drilling way too deep into my natural nail and slicing into my finger with a file (which she didn't even apologize for) she proceeded with a sloppy paint job. My experience ended with a half hearted pedicure with someone else painting my toes. I can't believe I paid $68 for this but whatever because that's the last penny they'll get from me. read more

I wish I would have had time to read the reviews. My granddaughter and I went to get a full set of nails and now we're both hoping we don't end up with an infection. They were so unsanitary and when I asked if they used the same nail buffer on everyone they admitted yes and then got a new one after they had already used the old one on me. It took nearly 3 hrs to get a set of nails on. I have cuts in my cuticles, they hurt, the filing was painful. I could go on and on about how bad this experience was but all I can say is when you read a bad review. Believe it! And whatever you do, steer clear of needing to use the restroom, I was greeted by little black flying bugs. Waste of my money but not even worth the hassle of trying to express how unsatisfied I was. read more

I had the 1st appointment of the day and it took 45 minutes before the manicure started. They took 3 people ahead of me, none of which had an appointment. The place is FILTHY. The floor hadn't been swept or washed for ages. The chairs and tables had a coating of dust such that I could write my name on them. I could see the dust from several feet away. My manicure consisted of a base coat and one coat--no second coat or top coat. When I left I realized that most of my fingers had nail polish on the tops of them which I had to peel off. I also had a 1/2 cut near my cuticle. STAY AWAY from this place! It's disgusting. read more

I've been coming here every month for the last year. They are friendly and do a decent job. It's one of the lower priced nail salons, yet offer a full menu. They always ask how well my nail polish held up so they can decide if they want to continue using that product. Only downside for me is that they are closed on Sundays. read more
