Forget having an anti-homeless bathroom policy, this place seems to have a whole anti-customer bathroom policy. On your first step in you can already feel the hostile air from every employee that sees you across the room. Absolutely rancid vibes with how smug they are about how their restrooms are for customers only. Nothing wrong with having a policy like that but they are so rude about it, making you go through a whole separate kiosk just to get the key to the bathroom. It's not that it's a difficult process, but they make it seem like simply asking an employee for a key or bathroom code is beneath them and shows a level of contempt for homeless people, their own customers, and anyone with a bladder. I was going to give this place 2 stars for at least having jasmine green tea that wasn't terrible but the AI slop signs were just so extra insulting that it knocks it all the way down to 1 star and convinced me to write this review. If you want good boba/tea, Gong Cha is just down the sidewalk. If you want those fluffy pancakes, Sharp Tea is in Weller Court across the street. If you need a bathroom, the metro station nearby has one of those Throne bathrooms for free. If you want good customer service, go literally anywhere else
Really cute concept, I've been wanting to try this place for a minute now. I got the 2pc taiyaki with mozzarella cheese in one, and Nutella in the other. Decent! A little doughy though and felt a tad undercooked. I did enjoy my Mango Loves Coconut drink, however- just a tad expensive. My friend got the Oreo Japanese Pancakes which was almost $20 after tip and about a 20 minute wait, as well. A bit on the pricey side, and they do warn you that the pancakes do take a bit more time which is something to consider if you're in a time crunch. I thought then pancakes were expensive so I didn't get them myself, but I'm glad I didn't. Thankfully my friend enjoyed hers- but I felt that the egg flavor from the pancakes was so overpowering that they weren't even sweet- tasted almost like an egg soufflé. I probably would not come here again- unless it's for a drink.
Tried the mango drink here and it was pretty good overall, but not quite what I was hoping for. The flavor was nice and refreshing, but I expected it to be a bit more creamy and rich, it felt a little on the lighter side. That said, the jellies were definitely the highlight. They had great texture and added a fun, satisfying bite to the drink. I'd probably come back and try something else or see if I can customize it next time.
The pancakes tasted like PURE EGG. The butter/ toppings were not sweet at all. The service wasn't the best. There was no engagement or no personalization. Nothing. He was texting after serving us. The place is cute and plenty to do. Games, pool, and pictures for sure. Maybe try or skip. I'll try again another time.
Miss Cheese had nice cute and well-lit interior. When we went here, there was only one person doing everything but she was quick. She was the cashier and also prepped the food. Oreo Mountain souffle pancake was okay. Fluffy but nothing special. Would have given this a 4/5 but there was small piece of wire (wire like in a steel wool) in our Thai ice milk tea with boba.

My niece wanted to go to the bathroom really bad but knowing we should pay and buy something first I rushed to order one drink so my little one can go to the bathroom first and then once done order more when the other kids could figure out there order. I put my order in and ask for the bathroom code. The lady was barely helpful. The code was also super hard to deal with but she didn't help. Her attitude was so bad after the bathroom I didn't want to buy any more. Especially because my son who loves these drink had a taste and said it was so nasty. I had a sip and it was this super sour cheap tasting slush. No wonder this place was empty. The low review also speaks volume. I was always interested to come here for their fluffy pancakes but I refuse to give them service after this. DTLA is a war zone for restaurants. You need to have either good service or food that trumps your bad service to survive. This place has neither. Let's see how long this place lasts. I would be surprised if they survive 2026
The place is cute but overly filled with a bunch of warning signs stating that you need to pay a minimum of $5 in order to use the restroom. Not gonna lie, it is kind of ridiculous. I just ordered their Passionfruit Fantasy with lychee jelly and i specifically requested no seeds. When the drink was made, I saw the passionfruit seeds in there and told the lady who had made my drink. I said "Oh I requested for no seeds but you put seeds in there". She responded by saying "Yeah, I didn't". I said "Aren't those passion fruit seeds?" She said, "No, they are not". Then I said "What other seeds do you guys put in there, which you didn't put?" She just grabbed my drink and pointed at my special request that stated no seeds -_- like Yes I know. I was the one who wrote that. What's the point of special request if they don't even accommodate to it?

Miss cheese replaces my previously favorite Boba shop in all of LA, Milk+T, and the space looks exactly the same. Not sure if the owners of Miss cheese chose to keep the interior design unchanged for the most part, but it was a shout out to the previous store as some of the same artwork continues to decorate the wall today. In line with the previous shop, Miss cheese also provides a menu full of high priced desserts, except the price is so outrageous that even I couldn't justify it. $20 for a dessert, not including tax, and with a wait time of 20 minutes. Not sure how the shop stays in business, but I am sad to share the famous souffle pancake trend of Japan were not worth the time or the money that Miss cheese asked me to spend.

Wayyyyyy over priced for egg pancakes. I figured by the reviews someone got pissed iff with this place based on the photo bombs of everything but their products. So I gave them a try feeling sorry along with a sweet tooth. It took over 15mins to prepare and the place was deserted. They were hot & fluffy but at the end of the day nothing special and most certainly not worth $21. I cant say I would return but hey I did give them a try
At first this place was such a find! It was so good and exactly what i was craving, and cute ambiance. But after the third visit ,the drinks & customer service was not nearly as good. We ordered two drinks and one of them was an Oreo matcha brûlée (w/ almond milk & cheese foam), and it was missing the Oreo and cheese foam, and maybe even the almond milk. After requesting for the toppings to be added--that we paid extra for--we were met with passiveness. (She put very little of both toppings...) I understand there was only 30 minutes left until closing and only one older lady serving us, so I was being lenient but just something to look out for if you're willing to try this. It's a hit or miss.
While walking around in Little Tokyo my son and nephew spotted this place and we walked in to try their taiyaki. First of all the smell when we walked in wasn't pleasant. It was a mixture of strong cleaning product and burned dough. We ordered a few taiyakis filled with Nutella. Even though it wasn't busy (cause we ordered on the kiosk as soon as we walked in) we waited over 20 minutes for our order. The taiyaki was a bit saggy and hard to eat. You could also taste the oil or whatever they bake it with. Even though the kids liked it I wasn't a big fan. This place sells very interesting combinations of tea drinks and other drinks. We didn't get any so I can't write about it but a lot of people were walking out with colorful drinks. Can't say anything about customer service cause we didn't encounter with anyone except the person who handed us our order. That's about it.

I was looking for something sweet to have and I stumbled across this place. Upon entering, I noticed a kiosk right away and I just decided to order. It was a little complicated but not extremely difficult. After placing the order I saw a sign that said you have to order through the kiosk. This place has a cute ambiance to it. There is a little mini pool table, board games and free arcade games. It made the wait feel quick. I did see they had a machine where the keys for the restroom are kept. I didn't end up needing the restroom but good to know they have one. I ordered the Oreo pancakes and after taking my first bite I could tell they were really eggy. Not the best in my opinion. I didn't finish them and went to the cash register to ask for a box to go. Right away they seemed irritated and asked if I was ordering. I told them I just needed a box to go and they said they would bring one out. I could definitely see all the points others made in their reviews with the pancakes, the service and how stuffy the place was. I don't think I will be returning here. read more

You have to order from a kiosk. It was a tedious process. When you are done they give you a code to use the bathroom. Anyone who knows little Tokyo know there is NOWHERE to go bathroom. This bathroom was okay. It's one they share with other businesses in the building. However the alarm keeps going off and you have to touch the huge key thing which I found gross. We got the original souffle and a matcha flavored bubble tea. 50% sweetness. The drink itself was a 7/10 but the boba was strange and one of the worst I've ever had. It was grainy and disintegrated. Also the Boba doesn't fit through the straw! You have to suck really hard lol. And the souffle was...well, it had no taste. Like if you took an egg pancake and extract the flavor out of it. That's the only way I can express what I experienced. I am assuming people might come eat it for the toppings. But for me, it was a 1/10. Oh, and we said goodbye but the employee ignored us. We were walking around Little Tokyo and wanted to get a snack, so we went into Miss Cheese on a whim. It seemed like a nice place that first of all, had seats available where we could sit down. Ambience was nice, and they have games, such as a mini pool table game. So we went to check out the menu, and had to place order on a kiosk. The guy behind the counter asked if we were going to order a soufflé, and I told him we didn't know yet. He said that it's because it takes 10-15 minutes to prepare. In the meantime we were looking at the menu, to place our order. We decided to try the Original Soufflé Pancakes, and split it. So I told the guy that we were ordering one. My Mom and Sister ordered the Signature Taro Milk w/ Boba. Base price is $6.75, then they charge an additional $1.00 for boba, and $1.25 for coconut/soy milk. I ordered the Royal Milk Tea with Boba. It contained evaporated milk, and I requested 25 percent sweetness. I liked the fact that you can request less ice. Everything is extremely pricey. I did not really care for my milk tea. Maybe because it had evaporated milk, I'm not sure. It was just not on par with other milk teas that I've enjoyed for a lesser price. The Soufflé was tiny for $14.99. It was very soft and fluffy, served with a brûlée topping, and some kind of whipped cream on the side. It was good but too small for the price. But we had a nice time nevertheless. Service was fine and interior vibe was relaxed, and customers seemed to be having a good time. The ordering process on the kiosk was fine, and I opted to receive my receipt via email, which I did receive. They also have a rewards program, which you can also join through the kiosk. read more

I ordered the soufflé pancakes and I personally did not like them but my bf ended up finishing the rest. It has a very strong egg flavor & the texture is very very soft so if that's your thing I would say try them. The service wasn't really there other than just bringing the plate to you. You have to order from a kiosk and after you are done eating you have to get up and put the plate & utensils in this area where they collect them to clean. read more

I'm missing the joke about bathroom pictures in the other reviews here so.... moving on..... I'm giving this cute little shop extra love because we went in the day after curfew had been lifted for DTLA and Little Tokyo. Pretty much everywhere was a bit empty, people seem to bit overwhelmed with clean up, and not everything was back up and running fully. So that all said I wanted to share our actually very lovely experience here. First of all, You order at a touch screen kiosk. I'm not unfamiliar with these but this one was a little tricky because there were so many options! I came in because they advertise Italian like sodas. And it was a warm day in Los Angeles, we were getting ready to go back to the car, and that just sounded like a lovely treat for the drive back to our hotel in Anaheim. Thankfully I got through the menu without too many issues and my almost $10 soda was ready to be made. I was a bit surprised at the price but it is what it is. The nice lady working behind the counter got started right away and it was ready within a couple minutes. I mean it was a fairly easy order but still it was nice that it came out so fast. It was also pretty! I wasn't expecting it to be so pretty! If we had time we probably would have stayed around and looked at the games or just enjoyed the ambience but we were on timed parking and I had to get back to the car. I actually really loved this drink and wish that instead of 50% sweet I had done 75% sweet. That would have put it over the top but that was my failure, not the person preparing it. Take a look at the picture and tell me this isn't gorgeous! Overall I really enjoyed my little drink and I wish I was closer so we could try some other things on the menu. They specialize in these beautiful soufflé pancakes however I couldn't get information on how they were made and give and I'm pretty sensitive to gluten I had to stay away. Will definitely give it a try the next time we are in the area and look at other things on the menu. read more

Seemed extremely annoyed and stressed. I Bought a drink then walked over to use restroom. My partner decided to buy another drink and as I was grabbing the keys to use the restroom he reached over my shoulder to snatch the keys and said "you must buy before using the restroom!" I said I did and instead of listening he just kept repeating and being rude. I walked over to my bf and he then said ok you can come now ...(-.-) I get it but just his approach and attitude was unfortunately too agressive. read more

We came for the fluffy pancakes and they did not disappoint--they were really good! The boba drinks were also great. Service was fast, the staff was friendly, and the place was clean and welcoming. They even have some games to keep you entertained while you wait. Definitely recommend this spot! read more
New boba shop in Little Tokyo that has a large selection of drinks, a decent amount of seating, and a restroom for customers! Right now, it's in soft opening and definitely not as polished as I believe it'll be in the future in terms of decor. There's still leftover decor from both Cafe 86 and Milk + T, who were in this space before. You order at a kiosk and wait for someone to make the drinks for you. Lots of customization options such as many milk options to choose from including Hokkaido milk powder which I haven't seen before. My ceylon milk tea with cheese foam was overall ok. Cheese foam was dense and creamy but could've used some salt and the milk tea was a bit watery for me, but my friend loved his drink, so it's just about finding the right drink for you. read more

Loved the vibe of the place, very cute. The shop was small with a few tables inside. Food was great and service was good. First time here btw so didn't know what to expect. Would definitely come back there again for some pancakes ! read more

I love locations with the kiosks, and the option to adjust drink sweetness. I got the titty with crème brûlée, and it was so good. It was just what I needed!!! as a love that it has arcade games inside, and there's so much seating. And everything looks great. Would 10 out of 10 come back. read more
